Avenger][PTab=Status]Parameters Personal Skills Skill 01 | Determination of Steel: EX | The ability to push onward towards a goal despite any obstacles. Similar to Battle Continuation in that it refuses to allow death to come, however instead of being tied to a battle, this skill is tied to a specific goal. At EX, Edmond Dantes can ignore even wounds that should be instantly lethal, until the goal he set for himself is realized. In addition, this has the additional effect of negating attempts at mental interference, nullified by an iron will.

Skill 02 | Wisdom from Desperation: A | The ability to find one’s way out of hopeless situations. The more desperate the obstacle that Edmond faces, the more clearly he can see the clear line of actions he needs to take to escape it. Grants a sense of precognition when facing opponents that clearly outmatch him, as well as allowing one to find one’s way out of traps and prisons, such as Edmond faced in his initial betrayal. |
Skill 03 | Mana Regeneration: D | The ability to passively regain mana. At D rank, grants enough excess mana to be equivalent to a D-Rank in Independent Action without a Master, or while supported by a Master to stockpile enough to be equivalent to a minor drain on the Master’s resources, or allows the use of his Noble Phantasm from his own reserves. |
Skill 04 | Golden Rule: A | An ability granted from his discovery of the treasure of Monte Cristo after he escaped from the Chateau D’If. Money problems are completely unknown, even if he is left destitute a new fortune would come to him. |
Class Skills Skill 01 | Avenger: A | The capacity to be a Spirit of Vengeance, imparting both a blessing and a curse. Enemies are more easily drawn to attack him when he is with others. However, when suffering damage inflicted by an enemy, a portion of the force is sublimated into mana that can either be used to heal those wounds, or simply be used to fuel his Noble Phantasm. |
Noble Phantasm Optional NP Image here | Enfer Chateau D’If: Tyger Tyger Burning Bright | Rank: A | Type: Anti-Unit/Army | The ability to break free from any bonds, including abstract prisons such as “time” or “space.” Invokes myth involving the usage of the human mind’s full potential, crystallizing as a Noble Phantasm with effects not grounded in reality. Passively, he can force his body to move at the pace his mind does, granting him increased agility beyond what he is ordinarily capable of. By invoking the Noble Phantasm’s name, he can extend that movement so fast, to him it appears that time has stopped, and to others that he has split into numerous copies. Both effects involve heavy damage inflicted on his body as it is forced to move beyond it’s capabilities, with the active version being more extreme in that regard. |
| The Myth of Monte Cristo: King of the Cavern | Rank: C | Type: Anti-Unit | The incarnation of Edmond Dantes as an Avenger. The sublimation of his hellish experience and training under the Abbe Fariah into a Noble Phantasm that is his very existence. Allows both for the ability to sublimate his will as a magical attack, as well as granting him the ability to conceal and grant false information of his parameters. |

Betrayal and Imprisonment Originally a mere shiphand that performed with distinction when made the temporary captain of a shipping vessel, he was conspired against and framed for treason by three people he viewed, if not as friends, but as coworkers, acquaintances, and honorable superiors. Imprisoned in the dungeons of the Chateau D’If, a barren island where the most dangerous political prisoners are held, he is left to rot to fulfill the ambitions and sate the fears of his various enemies. Preparations While imprisoned, Edmond very nearly kills himself to escape his suffering, but escapes this fate when hope comes in the form of a scratching sound on the side of his wall. Helping dig the hole from his side, he meets the companion of his prison days, the aged Abbe Fariah. The man quickly deduces the perpetrators of the crimes against him, and teaches him voraciously, how to fight, how to think, philosophy, mathematics, essentially, the Abbe turned Edmond from a shiphand into a gentleman. His will is also focused, it is in this period that he acquires the willpower and fervency that forms the basis for his Noble Phantasms. Rising Revengeance The story of what Edmond Dantes accomplishes after he returns from his exile quite literally fills a book. Styling himself as the agent of providence, he engages in philanthropy and brutal vengeance alike. Whether he works through the pseudonym of Sinbad the Sailor, or through his more famous moniker, the Count of Monte Cristo, he engages in his revenge ruthlessly, exploiting any weakness and leaving no room for mercy. He kept the deathly pallor of his time in D’If, even as he indulges in opulence, he is directly compared to a vampire. A master of finance, toxicology, psychology, and many more disciplines, the Count of Monte Cristo leaves his foes utterly defeated...until he discovers that he isn’t God. His justice against Fernand was fulfilling, if intensely bittersweet, his justice against Villefort left him with profound doubts, and his revenge against Danglars simply left him sick. Providence However, Edmond Dantes was narrowly able to avoid falling off the slippery slope and becoming a true monster, unworthy of the title of hero. Saved by love, he was eventually able to let his quest for vengeance, that he could have continued until his body finally lost it’s life, he was content to remain with his mistress, Haydee, as well as his foster-family in the Morrels and the son of his enemy he eventually came to acknowledge as a son and a friend, Albert de Morcerf.
