OOC: Time - 11 pm. Tamamo's rage empowered by Atlas caused her meteorite rain to actually descend from the cloudy sky hitting everything on their way. No servants would be safe from this attack if they stayed put in one place. Chaldea's facilities once more prove to be strong as they're able to handle such power with ease, the collateral damage caused by Tamamo to her team members was more than enough punishment for the whole team at their attempt to use magic. "Emiya.. I.." I'm about to confess this weird feeling to him, I feel like he must know how I feel and this seems like my only chance... I MUST do it! "Emiya! I-" -Elizabeth had to jump away from EMIYA as a falling meteorite almost hit them both- "W-WHAT'S GOING ON NOW?!" -Elizabeth yelled with anger and frustration- "Who is attacking us?! Who is there?! Emiya?! Are you okay???!" The explosion separated us a bit but knowing him a bit I'm sure he's okay, yet, I can't stop to feel worried about him. "Emi-" -Another meteorite falling down heading her way, Elizabeth moved as fast as she could to her left but the rock was faster than her. She managed to dodge it but she hurt her right leg and arm in the process- "Hah!" I dodged that, uggggh it hurts so bad... Just what's going on?! This is not good! If this continue I might... "Emiya..." -Almost unable to move, Elizabeth was now trying to crawl away as she spotted another meteorite just heading her away- So this is how it ends?... Not even in a real mission, not even yet a world wide known idol, not even yet having my first kiss taken nor getting the chance to confess my feelings... -She held back her tears and smiled as the probably unavoidable end approached- "I die a Hero and also... I die as a star!"
OOC 2: Current time - 4 am. The area were Emiya and Elizabeth were was on siege for 5 hours, during that time the whereabouts of Elizabeth remained unknown to her partner and to Chaldea itself. During 11 pm and 1 am Chaldea picked up feint vital signals coming from Bathory's body. At 4 am Bathory's body remained laying down on the floor and severely injured while being away from her current partner. Chaldea's re-allocation program started and everybody were once again separated. The current teams at 4 am are: Elizabeth and Nero, Atlas and EMIYA, Tamamo by herself. Team status: - Tamamo no mae: Alive
- Atlas: Alive
- EMIYA: Alive
- Nero: Alive
- Elizabeth: Gravely wounded

OOC: Okay, so seeing as Nando and Vero have left, Atlas is now leader. It is currently 06:00. Dawn has broken. Chaldea has become strangely quiet in the wake of Elizabeth Bathory's death. The landscape has once again changed, this time to... a tropical jungle? Weird. ----- Well. That could've gone better. When Atlas saw how dangerous the meteors were actually getting, he had to act fast. Tamamo was, understandably, too furious to listen, so Atlas had to run her through with the Trident, lest the other Servants be jeopardized! It was a matter of heroics and when push came to shove, Atlas was a truly heroic being! Although admittedly, he tried not to remember the fact that he was partially why the storm had gotten so goddamn bad to begin with, what with having helped power the goddamn storm but those were details! And when things came down to it, no one would care about the details! But, Atlas found himself absorbed and spit back out once again. This time finding the Counter Guardian. He approached him, intent on actually having a talk about Atlantis. They'd be here for a few hours, it was a good opportunity to have a man to man, heart to heart talk about that fateful night and put it behind them forever. But when Atlas actually got to EMIYA, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Wow. You look like shit." He paused for a moment as his smirk dropped, coughing slightly at his own joke. "I'm... sorry, this isn't really a time for humor." Well, things were already bad so he breathed. In all honesty, they should get this out of the way first, he'd find out at the end anyway."That meteor storm last night... your wife didn't make it, Shirou. I'm... sorry."Reaching into his vest, he pulled out a blue ribbon for her hair. Okay, so maaaaaybe he'd been planning to break this to the Counter Guardian at some point, but he'd have liked to get Atlantis out of the way first! Holding it out, he presented it to the Counter Guardian. "Here. Something I managed to grab before she faded." He paused again, looking away before adding, "Her last words were 'Shirou please, where are you?'" Atlas inwardly cringed at that one. Jesus Christ. Even he felt like a total douche bag for that one. tags: emiya, Nero notes: welp he tried

A twinge of danger stirs. If I had any kind of advance warning that could begin to inform me of the magnitude of that danger, I could have done something to stop what happened. But how could I have expected something like that to happen?
Faster than I could react, a meteor of all things strikes where they are. Too fast to recognize the fact that the meteor was deadly and large, too fast for Rho Aias, let alone an arrow. In the moment, I dodged right, and Liz dodged left. I was fortunate, and Liz was not.
After the impact, I investigate, relieved to see her still alive. "Are you alright? It's going to be alright, just stay calm." I quickly find that...no. It was not going to be alright. Her injury was ridiculously excessive. Her leg and half of her arm on the right side were plain sheared off. What's worse was that she was leaking prana fast...if someone could stabilize the prana leak then saving her would be a matter of course, as a Heroic Spirit the injury could likely regenerate, especially with the healing Chaldea was capable of. Which meant that all that needed to be done was for the simulation to end, and it was likely that she could be saved...
But it didn't end.
Mercilessly, Chaldea kept them locked in virtual space. Until Elizabeth Bathory disappeared.
Biting my tongue, I turn away. There was nothing more to do. As if in spite, Chaldea takes that moment to chime in, and rather than scrubbing the mission, it shifts to a jungle in the tropics. Wonderful. At the very least water would no longer be an issue. Only the death of a Heroic Spirit was. This mission was a farce from the get-go. Heroic Spirits were simply tools in the first place. What was the issue of wasting time...and obviously threatening their lives, from situations like this. In hindsight, this result was expected.
The sound of the Atlantean causes me to turn. "No. No it is not." I say simply, foraging for basic supplies. There was no point in talking. However, his revelation that Tamamo-no-Mae was another casualty was something to consider...but it didn't hit nearly as hard as his little barb was likely meant to.
It was all a farce, anyway. These extra lives beyond death were meaningless aside from our role as tools.
His further taunting was calculated to injure me, and likely would have, if I wasn't in a state where the barb failed to strike anything important. I simply take the ribbon, and place it with the kindling I was gathering.
The circumstances wouldn't let me attempt to preserve her life.
There was nothing I could have done.
No sense being guilty about the impossible. All that mattered was making sure the three remaining Heroic Spirits survived. They were useful tools for the continuation of the world.
And nothing else mattered.

Nero faced a very sudden and very rude awakening as a huge meteor crashed down about ten feet away from where she was sleeping, sending out a huge radial shockwave that sent the red Saber flying, bed, sand and all. Twirling through the air in nothing but her white button-up shirt pajamas, she screamed in panic, until another huge boom occurred right behind her. Before she could even try and turn herself, a giant displaced wave of sand slapped her right out of the air, the force knocking her unconscious, before crashing down and burying her.
=================================================================================
Groaning loudly as she awoke an unknown amount of time later, the Roman Emperor saw her surroundings had now become a tropical forest. Her whole body was in pain, her pajamas were in tatters, and her headaches suddenly felt a lot worse than usual. A sparkle of light caught Nero's blurry eyes, causing her to look over and squint at the source. Taking a moment to focus, she saw what appeared to be the mangled body of Elizabeth Bathory, just one second before it completely dissipated away, leaving nothing but brief sparks of prana.
That can't be right. Ok maybe there were meteors, but that was just another obnoxious system check. It was just a survival exercise that was being overseen by Chaldea, and they wouldn't let something like that happen. They wouldn't let their precious, powerful Servants just die in a simulation. That'd be absurd. Completely absurd. Stupid. Moronic. Impossible.
Dismissing it as a mere mirage, or something the program had done to mess with them, Nero dragged herself over and leaned back against a tree. Her head was pounding, and her consciousness was starting to flicker. She needed to rest and regather her energy. Closing her eyes, Nero let herself drift back to sleep, hoping there weren't anymore meteors around. "Umuuuuuu.... Umuuuuuuu..."

OOC: It is now 10:00. After much talk amongst themselves, Chaldea decided to vote on the matter; do they end the simulation, or, out of morbid curiosity, let it continue to see just how much worse it could possibly get? After a several hour deadlock, Chaldea finally decides to end the simulation. ----- Atlas was glaring at EMIYA the entire time. The ribbon was one of the first things to burn. That... legitimately irritated Atlas. It shouldn't have, he had no claim in this, but it did. Hours passed, and finally Atlas broke the silence between the two men. "You're really something, you know that?" He speaks, his eyes boring into the Counter GUardian's skull. He motioned to the fire, where the ribbon had been. "You get a wonderful fox girl who absolutely adores you, and you give no shits at all when she dies." Of course, he killed her, but best keep that part a bit of a hushed secret. "I know that look, Shirou Emiya. You had it at Atlantis. And you and I will have to have a long, long talk about Atlantis. And about Nero. You know her, was it the fire of Rome, Emiya? Out of everyone, you were the only one who knew and called her name, not even I knew, but she didn't recognize you from before, she met me in Chaldea and knew me, but you were unknown."Atlas snorted for a moment. "How stupid do you think I am? You were involved in her life at some point, that much is clear, Counter Guardian." A warrior that jumped to any point in time, someone who could have been there, and may have had reason to be there. It wasn't an odd assumption, especially with EMIYA slipping like he did. However, before things could progress from there, the terrain began to change. However, rather than changing to a new area, the familiar appearance of the deck was all that remained. "Ugh, finally. Whatever." It seemed that the simulation was over. It also meant that, sure enough, Atlas realized as he looked, that they were all back together. Mostly. They were missing forty percent of the entire team, but that was a minor detail. Importantly, Nero was back. The fight was not over yet. Looking to Emiya, Atlas shrugged. "We can have that talk in two days, maybe with a mediator." And completely dropping any issues, went over to Nero. Putting on a solemn face, he began to speak. "Nero, sadly two of our comrade perished on this trip." He was really done trying to get things slowly. "I would love to tell you my stories, but first, we must partake in an ancient Atlantean ritual; we celebrate the passing of one by celebrating their life, by making love." Of course, that was blatant bullshit. The truth was they looked into the dead Atlantean's eyes and screamed to the heavens, to warn the gods know an Atlantean had ventured into the afterlife. Of course, that seemed to have been something completely lost to history, so he could work it. "Now if you will come with me, we must go through this ritual, and then I will tell you all you wish to know."He began to walk back to his room, but held his arm out, should Nero wish to follow. If not, then well, he gave it three shots god fucking dammit, he tried. tags: emiya , Nero notes: i will always find ways to make him sink lower

I simply look into the fire as I'm interrogated. It didn't matter. "Tamamo-no-Mae was simply a Servant. Whether she lives or dies is of no consequence other than her use to Chaldea. You aren't thinking." Atlas was obviously losing his composure, so beating around the push was pointless. There was no point to it.
A nerve was tripped when he mentioned that his look was the same as it was on Atlantis, and that actually elicits a laugh from me. "Of course it does, Atlas. Why wouldn't it? I just finally realized that this is just the same as before. Just another job the Counter Force gave me, just another time to save the world and disappear without a trace. I did it in Atlantis. I did it in Rome. I did it in Iraq. And I'll do it with Chaldea. And I'll keep doing it until the end of time, until I reach the impossible destination where humanity finds out how to stop putting itself in mortal danger. That's what a Counter Guardian is."
As he inquires further into my involvement with the Emperor, I shrug. "Only in passing. The Fire was started by the cult I was tasked with eliminating. I killed them before they could summon an otherworldly threat that would've consumed the entire Roman Empire one human at a time, leading to humanity's destruction. I merely find it laughable that she would've let such a thing happen under her watch."
As the world fades and we return to Chaldea, I make my leave at the nearest opportunity. There was nothing there for me but a reminder of my own foolishness. It was stupid to think that my hands could hold something like happiness. There was only what was always there for me. The next assignment.

:UMUUUU!" As the simulation abruptly came to an end, the tree supporting Nero dematerialized, leaving her to fall and hit the back of her skull against the hard metallic floor. Rolling around, whining and holding her head for a bit, the Roman Emperor eventually creaked back onto her feet, as her body still ached terribly from getting buried in the sand. Snapping her fingers, Nero dispersed her destroyed pajamas and reclad her body in her usual gaudy red attire, before trudging over to where the other two were.
Wait. Only two? There was King Atlas, the creepy tan man with the white hair, but no fox or lizard girl? Nero experienced a sudden chill up her spine as she recollected that image of Elizabeth's body disappearing, but quickly dismissed it from her mind.
There was no way that actually happened. No way. Nope. Impossible. That was just something to mess with her.
EMIYA quickly turned to leave, but then Atlas came over to her, looking oddly somber. He said they were dead? Ha! There was no way she was going to believe that. This was a prank, no doubt! Something about hazing newbies on their first mission surely! But not Nero! She was smarter than that!
"AHA! That is a nice try, King Atlas, but I, Nero, will not be so easily tricked!" Puffing out her chest, the Roman Emperor grinned proudly. Naturally, she didn't take the sex comment seriously either. "The Fox and the Lizard are just hiding somewhere, waiting to scare me, is that not right? You are trying to lure me over to where they are waiting? This is just a prank to pull on the new Servants is it not? Umu! Don't underestimate my cunning!"
Deciding to be a graceful victor, and not gloat in the face of those she had outsmarted, Nero simply turned down the other hallway. They should have known better than to try best her! Let them wallow in the shame of their failed attempt! Walking just a little oddly due to her aches, she tried hard to play it off, smugly smirking as she returned to her room. It was time for some proper, well-needed rest.
