[PTab=Profile] Character Details Height / Weight: 161cm/45kg Source: The Misaki Vampire Incident Home Region: Misaki City, Japan Alignment: True Neutral Gender: Female Sunset Growing up in Misaki City, Yumizuka was originally a spectacularly normal girl; living as the only child of her tiny family, going to school every day at Misaki High, and playing in the school’s lacrosse team. However, during one especially icy Winter, her team ended up locked in one of the school’s sports sheds; with the frost leaving the old lock frozen solid and trapping her and her classmates inside. While many lost hope, they found an unlikely saviour late in the evening in one of their male classmates whom happened to be passing by. While for most his intervention seemed like a coincidence, to Satsuki it was a life-changing experience – from that day on, she was infatuated with the boy who humbly helped her; Tohno Shiki. But, despite her affections, she was unable to admit her feelings to the boy. He seemed ignorant of her existence, but she could hardly fault him on that; as he always seemed so alien. Suffering from anaemia and often seeming isolated from the rest of class, he seemed too frail to keep on living amongst the rigors of everyday life – yet, often wore a serene smile even in his worst moments. Only late in her second year did Satsuki get the chance to talk to him personally, as a change in his house made their routes home from school coincide… Satsuki did her best to admit her feelings, but could only get out a request, with his earlier act of kindness in mind – ”So if I’m ever in a pinch, you’ll come and help me, right?” It wasn’t exactly what she wanted to say, but it felt like it was enough. She could walk home with Shiki every day from here on, so she had plenty of time to make her feelings clear. Yes, with just this, Satsuki was really happy – ”Well, my house is this way, so I’ll see you at school tomorrow. Bye-bye!” – Satsuki never appeared in school again. Sayonara, Dear Friend --- On her way home, Satsuki encountered the serial killer of Misaki – the so-called vampire… whom happened to be a genuine vampire, after all. Fed upon and turned by no less than one of the Dead Apostle Ancestors, Satsuki was left for dead in an alley like any of his other ghouls. In many ways, she was a prodigy; as her turning was miraculous – rather than spending miserable years as a mindless ghoul before gaining sentience, Satsuki was almost immediately ascended to a Dead Apostle… but in doing so she was met with all the pain of her body’s initial rejection of her new form; the searing suffering of her entire anatomy’s rejection of her new form. Driven mad from the anguish of her unexplainable new state and this agony; Satsuki was driven into depravity. The only thing she knew to do was to drink of others’ blood; quickly beginning to madly rationalise her new hunger; trying to forget all her murders as merely a matter of predator and prey… but the sane soul that lay deep in Satsuki just continued to weep in pain; drowning in the sorrow of her new unlife. As she hunted, her new form’s demands leaving her starving for blood, she came upon an abhorrent idea to keep her sanity – this new form had an advantage… the ghouls she could faintly control, and the eyes that hypnotised others… Tohno Shiki could finally be hers. In the midst of her slaughter, she experimented with creating ideal ghouls; beginning to become obsessed with this last remnant of her original life. And indeed, she was rewarded – the boy himself came searching for her; being met with her handiwork… With a smile on her face, Satsuki greeted her crush; eager to put her work to the test. But, that was not the right time. No, that time would be the next night, Shiki sought her out once more, as she hoped; admitting her feelings to him at long last – and performing her turning. Drunk on his blood, Satsuki waited for her most beloved thrall to stand by her side. Yet, despite all her efforts, her blood – her love – was simply rejected by Shiki. Growing furious despite his cooperative attitude, Satsuki decided to simply take the boy by force; assuming he was intending to deny her despite his words; leading the pair into a violent scuffle. Yet, despite her overpowering strength as a Dead Apostle, she was crippled by her body’s pain from her own turning, sluggishly managing to corner Shiki and try to turn him once again. She had her prize – and yet, her soul wanted nothing but to stop her. She was stopped by something else entirely, as blood dripped down her chest. A knife, held in her love’s hand, stabbed blindly into her waist. No intent to kill, and yet – it was the excuse her heart needed to give in. ”Ah, it seems like I won’t be able to talk anymore. Well, my house is this way. So this is goodbye then. Yeah, bye-bye, Tohno-kun. Thank you – and, sorry.” Slumping to the ground, Yumizuka Satsuki passed away with a whimper. Bewitching Summer But, despite her utmost wishes, this was not the end for the tragic vampire. Her pain was endless; stopping her from having such a quiet passing; forcing her to continue her hunting. Her heart was in better shape, though; driving her to raid hospitals using her Mystic Eyes or non-fatally taking blood from her victims. Eventually, she was met with an unlikely friend – a fellow unfortunate vampire, an alchemist by the name of Sion who was sent to Misaki on an investigation and met Satsuki amidst her work studying her own kind, and soon bonding over their similar states. Similarly, an ally of Sion remade via a spiritual recreation named Riesbyfe became another comrade of the unfortunate girl – for once, Satsuki’s life seemed to be looking up. She had friends; a new family – a new sunrise for Satsuki, at long last. It couldn’t last. With the Night of Wallachia that consumed Misaki City, Satsuki was left fighting against her own friends, against her own shadow, against everything and everyone – the effects of TATARI were too much for her. Lost in the madness of the event, she became a thrall to the rumours and shadows that Wallachia manifested; falling to her old sins and sorrows and being driven to violent insanity once more as she saw the blood of her only friends on her hands. Whether that Satsuki was real, or if that Satsuki was merely a creation of the night; whoever the ‘vampire called Satsuki’ was at that point met their end in the madness of that night. Or so it should have been. Perhaps it was her incredible potential as a vampire; perhaps it was the force of that dream of love she held onto so tightly; or perhaps it was some form of mocking pity from fate; but Satsuki ended up tied to the world forever. Her desperate wishes to finally grasp her hope of having a pleasant life became her leash to the world’s will to protect itself; but the cycles of violence she was dragged into in return for a supposed second life soon tore apart whatever was left of Satsuki’s sanity. Lost in her delusions of a dream that never existed in the first place, she is now the broken wrecking ball of the Counter Guardians; forever calling the name of a boy who may have never existed in the next world she opens her eyes in as she forges yet another path of anguish-drive destruction. ”It hurts, Shiki-kun. …It hurts, it’s cold, and I’m scared. I really want your help right now, Shiki-kun.” Extra Details Servant Classes: Caster Birthday: August 15th Blood Type: A Likes: Outcasts, school uniforms Dislikes: Egotistical people, broken promises Talents: Living on the streets Natural Enemy: Heroines Image Colour: Orange |
