He seems to live for the thrill of the fight, and the achievement of the impossible. He is incredibly loud and flamboyant, which generally draws a great deal of attention to himself, whether those with him want the attention or not. He is a very ferocious and competitive fighter to the point that many find it difficult to stand against, regardless of their own power. With all of his fighting prowess and aggression, however, he is a very likable person and, for most, quite easy to get along with.He holds his position as King in the highest of regards, and believes that all who hold that title should do the same. His outlook on being King may differ from himself to the next, and he is not afraid to express his views on how he feels the honor of being the highest of royalty should be met by the individual holding the title, as expressed in his meeting with Saber. He believes that the King should be the epitome of success, viewed this way by those he rules over, as a sign of his strength and the strength of the Kingdom he reigns over. He feels as King, you are the symbol of your country and your people, and you must make them well aware of your stature in strength, wealth, and leadership so they will follow you without fault. Iskander gets along with Waver very well, though the same may not necessarily be said, or look as if it is the case, from his Master. His innate ability to lead sees him attempt to recruit the other Servants to join forces with him and fight at his side. They decline, however. He may come as as a bit of a buffoon, as he doesn't seem to hold back anything from anyone, but what he may lack in overall smarts he more than makes up for on the battlefield. The other Servants come to see this, and regardless of their initial impression, do come to respect the power that he possesses and the type of King that he is, though they still, unfortunately to him, do not join forces or follow. His charismatic nature makes him easily one of the most lovable, if not the most lovable, Servants of the Grail War. Character Details 3 Iskander (Alexander the Great) is widely regarded through history as one of the greatest, if not the great, Commander in all of history. He defeated armieslarger than his own, overtaking and rebuilding empires in his own name, and conquering most of the known world all by the age of 30. His ability to command his armies with the precision that he did made him an overly formidable enemy to all he chose to invade, and any who were daring enough to attack him. His rule brought mostly peace and prosperity to his empire, save those Countries that he warred with. He left his mark on history in numerous ways, even after his death at the age of 32. Born on the sixth day of the Ancient Greek month of Hekatombaion, which is roughly 20 July, in the year of 356 BC, Alexander was the son of the King of Macedon Philip II, and his at the time (fourth) wife Olympias. he was born in the Ancient Greek Capitol of Macedon, known as Pella. His Mother was the daughter of the King of Epirus, and the principal wife of his Father, though Philip II had seven or eight wives total. It is believed that Alexander was born the son of Zeus, as his Mother, on the eve of her consummation of her marriage to Philip II, dreamed that her womb was struck by a thunder bolt. On the day he was born, his Father, Philip, was preparing a siege on the city of Petidea and received news that his general Parmenion had defeated both the Illyrian and Paeonian armies, his horses had won the Olympic Games, and that the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, had burned down. It is rumored that Alexander instigated these legends during his time as King to show that he was superhuman and destined for greatness from the time of his birth. Raised by a nurse, the sister of his future General Cleitus the Black, and tutored by his Mother's relative Leonidas and his Father's general Lysimachus, Alexander was raised as a noble Macedonian youth, learning to read, write, play the lyre, ride horses, fight and hunt. Additionally, when he was ten years old, his Father was sold a horse. This horse refused to be mounted by anyone and would even ryu to kill or eat those that had attempted so before, so Philip ordered it away. Alexander, however, asked his Father if he could tame the horse, which he eventually managed. This initial feat, in the eyes of his Father Philip, had Alexander destined for greatness. It was then that he told his son "You must find a Kingdom big enough for your ambitions, Macedon is too small for you". He named the horse Bucephalus, and he rode her until she passed of old age. He later would name a city after her, called Bucephala. At age thirteen, Alexander began learning under his tutor, Aristotle. At the age of sixteen, Alexander would see his first true taste of war, having his Father away waging war against Byzantion, leaving Alexander in charge in his stead. During this time, the Thracian Maedi revolted against Macedonia, and Alexander responded, driving them from their territory and colonizing it with Greeks. He named it Alexandropolis. After that, Alexander joined his Father in some further campaigns, even saving his life, and assisting in the battles. Upon returning to Pella some time later, Philip II fell in love with Cleopatra Eurydice, which in turn made Alexanders position as heir less secure as he was not fully Macedonian. He fled Macedon with his Mother, leaving her then with her brother, and continued to Illyria where he sought refuge with the Illyrian King. Unbeknownst to Alexander, however, Philip II never had any intention of disowning his son, and six months later, Alexander returned to Macedon. In 336 BC, Philip II was assassinated by the Captain of his bodyguards. Alexander was proclaimed King at the age of twenty years old. His reign began with the killing of any rivals he may have had to the throne, including his cousin Amyntas Iv, and two Macedonian Princes. His Mother also had Philip II's current wife(at the time of his death) and her daughter, burned alive. As the newly appointed King, Alexander began what would come to be known today as one of the greatest reigns throughout all of history, both as King and Conqueror. He would go on to conquer Asia Minor, Syria, Egypt, Asstria, Babylonia and Persia, to name some. Throughout many of his victories, Alexander would go on to rename some cities Alexandria, the most prosperous of which would reside in Egypt, which would later become the prosperous capital of the Ptolemaic Kingdom after his death. Over his reign as King, Alexander would come to conquer nearly 2 million square miles, covering three continents and controlling most of the known world, as it was during his time. Plots were made against him, attempt at his life, though as he caught wind, he would punish those involved usually with death. Even his close friends and military personnel weren't immune as it is noted that he killed one of his many officers for failing to pass on to Alexander an assassination attempt, and another account where he killed one of the men who had saved his life, Cleitus the Black, for accusing Alexander of numerous judgmental mistakes, and, more severely, saying that Alexander had forgotten his Macedonian ways in favor of living a corrupt, Oriental Lifestyle. He was a leader by example, not above direct communication with his army as a whole and the people who he served as King, even if it meant to take the life of a trusted ally and friend. Alexander would die, June 11 323 BC, in the Palace of Nebuchadnezzar II in Babylon (modern day Iraq), at the age of 32. It is widely believe that he died of a fever, though there are multiple accounts of his death, each with different event occurring roughly two weeks before his death, of having consumed some type of poison while he was drinking either with guests that he was entertaining, or from consumption in honor of Heracles. It is uncertain which of the accounts is true. His body was laid in a gold sarcophagus that was filled with honey, that was then placed in a gold casket. After his death, the Empire that he had worked so diligently for over his time as King, was in complete dismay. Word of his death spread, but was not initially believe by everyone who had heard it. There was no legitimate heir to the throne, and the newly crowned King would be Perdiccas, a bodyguard and leader of the Companion Cavalry. The Macedonias, however, did not readily accept everything that was to be decided by the Officers of Alexander, and chaos ensued. Perdiccas would be assassinated two years later, Macedonian unity collapsed, individual bases that had been granted to Generals by Perdiccas were used to bid for power by their respective leaders. Alexander IV and Philip III, who became joint Kings appointed by Perdiccas, were also murdered during this time. The vast Kingdom Alexander had built, had fallen into shambles.
