Godfreya was sitting on a bench at the center of the area. This was a section of the Headquarters dedicated for the Agents' living area. It reminded her of the town she used to go to when she was young. Although this place was definitely more innovative and futuristic, brighter and more prestigious, the town square she used to play at can never be replaced in her heart. She remembered the voices of the merchants selling jewelries, clothing, vegetables and hunted animals bargained for their delicious meat. She remembered hearing the soldiers marching on the streets while huffing with low pants. She remembered the sound of trumpets howling as a noble marched while riding on his horse together with his entourage. She remembered the buzzing whispers of maidens with their hearts flattering with amusement and lads cheering in admiration. It was a memorable scene she will never forget. At her age then, of 13, together with her brothers, they would stay there at the town square watching the people whom they govern.
"Never see yourself as above the masses. Know them and feel them. A ruler knows his people best."
Those were the memorable advised their father used to tell them. It was often directed to her older brother Eustace, who his brother had dreamed of succeeding him as Duke, while she was usually being tailored by her mother to be a good wife for her future. But, that wasn't a path Godfreya wished to take. Yes, for her, devoting herself as a knight, not for a king or for a land, but for the faith and chivalry she believed in. However, she kept in her heart her truest desire. And that was, the devotion to God without hesitation.
"Do you really want to be like that, Freya?"
That was the question of her older brother, Eustance, who would always ask her to fight him with a wooden sword.
"Mom will get mad you know."
Her younger brother, Baldwin, murmured while looking concerned.
These two were the jewels of her life. They would accept her for who she was and would never forsaken the dream and path she took. They were her pillars of support apart from her faith in God. They would help her in time of her need and would support her in cherishing her ideal. Eustace, even if he was older, would let himself be commanded by Freya and in turn Freya would give respect to her brother. While Baldwin, rash sometimes he might be, was always one who could be counted on dire situations. They were his family.
As she sat on the bench, she thought of her brothers while catching glimpse of two agents walking together. They were both male but there was a family aura between them. Godfreya let out a short chuckle. She could feel that the one of the left was the older brother and the other was the younger one.
"Ahhh, how nostalgic."
She whispered to herself. She prayed to God, at the moment of her death, to always guide and protect her brothers. In spite of being a knight and defender she was, she still possessed the feminine trait of a caring mother. However, not directed to her children as she never had one. Instead, it was that of being a younger sister and an older sister at the same time. Family values and virtues ran through her blood. It was something other than her faith which she was so proud of.
Looking overhead, she looked at the surroundings. It sure feels lonely without a friend or family member to be with you was what she thought. But, she let out a smile. She understood her position and she had no reason to judge it. After all, it was a decision she made back then, and even now. And also, she knew she wasn't alone. After all, God was always with her.
Then, as she turned her head to her right. She saw something that sparked her curiosity. Something that turned a spark in her heart. A charming affection that she hadn't felt for a while.

It was quiet… so quiet. Lovely and quiet. Kinu thought that most people would probably call this boring… well, they used to, anyway. All the timeline fuss seemed to put everyone on edge… it was hard for him to feel anything about it. The world was just so small, or at least this slice of it was so small; that he had no idea whether it was worth it or not. It was worth it, of course; but he didn’t always agree deep inside. That was probably just a part of being what he was, but… it made him a little bit sad. Especially since he was supposed to be fighting for it…
But, the quiet was nice to him; now and before. Treading along with his beloved scarf, the boy seemed as melancholy as ever; but was inwardly content. It really was a lovely day, even underneath an artificial sky. If he was to be honest, he preferred the snow; but that was a bit selfish around here. Besides, Spring was a lot nicer, which was true enough… though he usually just got sick with too much pollen and such around. But it was no good for his poor bonsai down here either way; which had brought him here in the first place. Poor thing!
As the boy trudged along the living area that was the only living area he’d ever known, Kinu couldn’t help but notice the strange souls milling about among the usual staff of Chaldea – the Servants, right? They were supposed to be his friends, or something like that; or so he’d been told. Agents… personally, he didn’t like them. Too close to home? No, they weren’t at all like homunculi… no, they made him feel like prey. Humans were threatening too, but… not quite like them. They were too strong… it made him terrified.
Speaking of which…
Kinu looked around slowly, slowing his already gentle pace – well, as gentle as he could get with his diminutive size. A girl with blonde hair… oh, but those clothes… even for a magus, they would be silly. A Servant… he could feel them sizing him up. Another one that just wants to pick fights? Another one that just hungers for mana? Another one who just hates others? Well, he wasn’t going to stick around and find out…! Eyes going a little wide, the fearful boy hurried along with his arms tightly holding onto the front of his scarf… someone like that, was definitely trouble.

"Little boy, are you lost?"
Those were the first words that came out of Godfreya's mouth. Never had she met something like this unexpectedly all her life. Even now, it was really that surprising for her. Especially the situation at hand. How come a little boy like this is in a place like Chaldea? Could he also be a provisional master like those she had met last winter evening? Or could he be a child of one of the staff? Either way, he was clearly without any parents or guidance.
Slowly, she lifted her body up from the bench and approached the little boy with gentle steps. She was gazing at him with sincere eyes. Ah, the nostalgia. It had been a long time since she had seen a boy this age. When was the last? Most likely, that time where her brother Baldwin was playing in the yard. Even if she had met children during her life, they were close to adolescence and were already taming themselves as squires or soldiers. But this little boy was different. He's so innocent that you'd love to cuddle him up to bed like a teddy bear.
What, was that appropriate?
No, it wasn't. Godfreya wake up! Your weakness on cute things are showing again! Your weakness to your brothers are reappearing! You are a knight of God! Have some decency!
But, she ignored her inner conscience. She knew she's going to this under the banner of God. After all, God loves everyone, unless you begin defiling His name with blasphemy and heresy. Likewise, Godfreya shall do the same.
"Hey. . ."
She whispered to the ears of the little boy as she placed and gripped her hand on her tiny little shoulder. Of course, Godfreya took the precaution of removing her gauntlet beforehand. It was a whisper not of a knight but that of a woman, a whisper that was so sweet you could mistake it from that of a seductress.
"Do you want to come with Nee-san~?"

‘Little boy’? As always, Kinu seemed confused by the innocuous statement – it was a totally fair assumption, and in many ways it was correct… but unfortunately Kagero was anything but a little boy; even if she was locked away. And so each and every time, she simply had to pipe up… and so, Godfreya was met with an iconic expression. A hint of a blush from embarrassment, a look of confusion and curiosity, and a pinch of childish guilt… frankly, it did little to help the poor homunculus’ case as anything but a very unlucky child.
As the lady approached, however; Kinu would gently step back – it was only a pace; and a very petite pace at that courtesy of its owner’s diminutive size; but it would at least make his anxiety clear. A Servant, surely… was he being hunted? His heart began to beat a little quicker; his body preparing for a familiar dash. However, as the lady got closer, he found it hard to move. She was powerful… his spiritual compatriot could certainly feel her presence. He’d be killed… or worse. Best to just play along.
The whisper made his heart jump, and the grip on his shoulder made the boy jolt noticeably – even without her gauntlet, Godfreya’s mighty presence was unmistakable for the homunculus. She at least didn’t seem threatening… but, then that question. No, not a question; a request. This was not going to be safe at all, but despite his inner feeling’s best intentions the boy himself was currently like a deer in the headlights – stuck in place. Awkwardly realising his predicament, Kinu just nervously lowered his head. Maybe if he pretended to be a tree or something she’d go away? But really, he was probably just making things worse with his hesitance…
Finally measuring up enough courage to move again, Kinu very slowly looked up at Godfreya again – she was pretty, wasn’t she? Maybe this wasn’t so bad. Or, maybe that was just all part of her ploy. For now, though… he had no chance to escape. Fidgeting shyly, the boy would glance about for an easy way out; but alas, luck had never been on his side…

Godfreya held the young boy's hand with her right hand as she smiled at him with assuring eyes. She meant no harm. Yes, in all heart and honesty, she only wished to interact with him like a big sister. She was curious and concerned after all. What on Earth does a young boy doing in a place like this? Her gaze to him was declaring that but it was unknown whether the boy could discern it. Nonetheless, in her mind, she knew she wasn't trespassing one's privacy. After all, a knight would be any child's model and being held by one would always be something to be proud of. But, that was then during her time. Maybe she was too caught up of meeting a young boy after so long that she had forgotten?
"Hm?"
Her eyes widened a bit as she somewhat felt shivers from the boy. Was he afraid?Maybe that explained why he didn't respond to her question. Looking at her appearance, she was definitely a fine person. Not someone like that witch she met during that mission which she would describe as a foul example of a witch---well, all witches were foul either way. Even so, she felt that it was only natural, then. After all, she was not normal, especially in appearance. Any young boy seeing a woman dressed in a way out of one's time would feel thus.
"Don't be afraid."
She assured him as she patted him slowly and gently on the head and afterwards, rubbing her head like what a mother would do to her child. She giggled at him with a sweet voice. It wasn't a giggle of a maiden that could spark a knight's heart but a giggle of young girl playing with her younger brother. It, somehow, unintentionally, awakened the childlike being of Godfreya that she lost after she swore to the sword.
"I am Saber, a Servant."
She introduced herself with a calm and gentle tone.
"However, my true name is Godfreya. But, you can call me simply as Freya. What's your name, young boy?"
She asked while assuming that she would obtain a response.

Having his hand taken just made the boy jolt again; utterly unsure of how to handle this approach – err, this was usually when he’d run, but surely she could crush him if he moved… a-and, it wasn’t unpleasant, to be honest… well, according to Kagero, anyway. But, the questions started coming – what was he supposed to do now? Fight or flight was out the window; so he’d just have to play along now. Plus, if he made too much of a fuss he might get the rest of Chaldea’s attention; very bad news for someone who was basically a dumped project. And he was supposed to be a provisional master, on top of all this… perhaps this was a chance to get a bit more involved, or something? Maybe even a test…?
In any case, Kinu would meet Godfreya’s reassurance with a pensive frown; unsure of how to react – well, a certain soul in him had a lot of ideas in mind, but they seemed to mostly involve trying to guess her proportions; which Kinu both didn’t understand the point of and didn’t really think was appropriate for the situation. But, before he could give much of a reaction, he ended up with a pat on his head… err, this wasn’t unpleasant. The boy didn’t react too much, just cringing slightly out of nervousness; but still not resisting. That giggle, though… how lewd. Or so Kagero insisted… it made it hard for Kinu to think with all her fuss, but at least she was trying to help.
So she was a Servant – a Saber, no less. Although he was mostly just scared of Servants, Kinu had at least done his research. Supposedly the strongest class… wasn’t she a little bit short for that? Not that he had much experience with fighting at all, but… he’d seen a bit of the other Servants, as well as the example ones. Maybe she was just a simpler one? Or maybe she had some secret? Wearing all that armour… maybe that was her trick. Maybe something underneath it was? Another loud interruption from Kagero – usually they thought relatively in sync, but now she was just being rude!
Edging a bit closer to Godfreya, Kinu decided to just hedge his bets on her not killing him for the time-being. But, once again - young boy?! A slight frown appeared on the boy’s face in response to the title, courtesy of his era-old soul… but it disappeared hastily, as Kinu tried to answer the lady’s question; giving her a shy nod. It was a common question, so it shouldn’t have been a big problem; but something about her presence made him really nervous… and quite red in the face. Awkwardly scuffling through his blazer, the homunculus brought out his ID card to give the Servant his name. It wasn’t much, but it’d at least give her his name…

Godfreya noticed the young boy's expressions whenever she tries to touch him. It concerned her a bit. She never had this experience when she was touching young boys and girls in Jerusalem during her daily round. Maybe it was her armor. Maybe it was the way she approached him. Looking back, there wasn't anything scary the way she approached him, to her eyes at least. She concluded that it was definitely her armor. Though, it was something that symbolized her pride as a knight as it was armor designed to display one of God's knight. She couldn't just remove them here. . .unless.
As the young boy had showed her his ID instead of orally introducing himself, it has given Godfreya some knowledge on who the boy is. Base on his name, he must be someone from the Far East. She did notice the fact that he was designated as a provisional master. Someone so young to be sent on the battlefield. It ached her heart but she knew it wasn't that irregular. During her time, even as young as ten, were trained as squires for towns and villages to protect against bandits and outlaws. Usually, since knights were out during the Crusades, it was the townspeople who did most of the handwork. Poor little boy, was what Godfreya thought to herself.
"I see, so should I call you Kinu, then? Or would you rather prefer by your surname?"
She asked him with a gentle smile while winking at him at the end of her question. Then, she took hold of both his hands and clenched them with hers. Of course, she had removed both her gauntlet and leather gloves which she wore as cover. This made the young boy felt the warmth of the Saber class servant in the flesh.
"You have nice and small hands. These aren't hands made for fighting---ah."
Before continuing her statement, Godfreya shriek out a voice. Even if it was like that, it was still filled with serene sweetness. She had realized something. Talking in this kind of place was awkward and inappropriate. And, as a knight who would serve his/her master, it was only natural to show noble courteousness. Since he is a master, and she is a servant, then most likely, any time, this young boy will take hold of her body as a sword to fight for the cause of peace. He will be her Master who she will follow and do everything for. Although she had promised that only to God she would offer her heart, soul and body, if it's with a Master, and someone like him, then she might just not mind it at all. She could feel that he was innocent in the heart, body and soul---in both experience and physique.
"Do you want to come by at my quarters to have a cup of coffee?"
Surely, the cold might have struck this young boy. It was forever winter here at this place after all. And, she also wanted to converse with him as if God telling her heart that it was by fate that she met him.

While seeming to calm down a little, Kinu was still especially uncomfortable around the Servant – he felt a bit like a rat in a trap right now; even if Kagero had swapped from acting suspicious of the other spirit to just nagging on and on about her looks. No, he didn’t wonder if she was plush under that armour. No, he didn’t think that her hair could be used as a blindfold in a pinch. No, he didn’t think that her being consumed by a spirit like her was a worthy sacrifice. No, he didn’t think that ending up on a fine lady’s waist was a good way to go! Frowning with irritation, the homunculus just tried to block out their host’s thoughts for the moment. Why did he have to be the experiment with the brat stuck in him, instead of some nicer being?
Hearing Godfreya’s musings, Kinu shook himself away from Kagero’s nonsense; trying to focus on the matter at hand. His name… it sounded nicer coming from her. Glancing up at the lady innocently, he gave a hurried nod; before realising how pointless the motion was. He liked his first name better coming from her… but it didn’t matter in the end. She was free to take that as she liked; it wasn’t worth him fussing over. Best not to embarrass himself. Giving a slight sigh, the boy just tried to calm himself down…
…only to jolt again upon feeling his hand touched by another’s – it was an odd sensation. It wasn’t exactly ‘new’, but it was foreign… he’d mostly been touched by rubber gloves through most of his life; making this a strange change. But, not unwelcome… she was really warm. Seeming to recover from the jolt a bit, the boy looked a little less nervous as he returned his hand to Freya’s; albeit clearly being still anxious about the contact. To be honest, he’d always expected Servants to feel cold or inhuman, but she felt… relatively human. Looking up at the lady, the homunculus was left in the hands of his own curiosity for the moment.
Then, a new offer. A cup of coffee? Eh, he preferred tea… but he hardly minded coffee, himself. Kinu would give a gentle nod before he thought too much about the subject, his body deciding before his head – it was probably for the better, though; best not to annoy a Servant. Plus, it would be interesting… unless something more was going on? Kagero certainly had a lot of ideas, to say the least; but Kinu was doing his best to just block her out for now – though all the internal jokes about being chowed on were really not helping his nerves!

Godfreya smiled as she finally had gotten the name of the young boy. She giggled as she held his cheek and pinched it. Cute, was what she thought while receiving an awkward feeling. It seemed the young boy shivered every time she gestured. Was she appearing as a terrifying woman? She recalled the time when she did rounds in Jerusalem. All the young boys an girls would leap in joy and admiration upon seeing them. Then, why was he afraid? Was her armor too 'unnatural' in this time for him? Most likely. After all, her appearance did not suit this age.
"Are you afraid of me?"
She asked him as she held his hand once again and eventually pulling him with her while uttering sweet words filled with affection.
"Don't worry. Nee-san will take care of you."
She said in an affectionate tone. Though she recalled using the honorifics before, for some reason, she found addressing herself like that to this young boy most appropriately. Weird since she never used it during her life but the term seemed to have sort of attachment to her heart.
"Yes, I will be his Nee~san."
She whispered to herself as she pulled him as they gently walked across the street. Her quarters was just beyond the road and was closer than what Kinu actually thought it to be. Opening the door and walking inside, the quarters showed itself as a cozy one in spite of being too small. The kitchen was designed to appear properly in the corner while the living room had its own accent despite the size. The only problem was that the bedroom area was small, concealed on a door on the left and the bathroom area was hardly separated from the living room. Since a Servant will occupy this place, maybe they thought it was unnecessary to design it like how a human should.
The shower was concealed by a thick white sheet and the toilet by transparent glass door. That was the layer of defense from the living room.
As Godfreya let go of Kinu's hand, she gleefully walked towards the kitchen and prepared the coffee.
"Do you like it sweet or bitter?"
She asked in a sisterly way as she was pertaining to the sugar level of the drink.

Already being pretty anxious about being touched; Kinu was less than thrilled to have his cheek pinched, cringing as his face was tugged and giving a little yowling motion. The Servant’s reassurance did help again, but the boy was still especially nervous around the spiritual predator; again far from helped by a certain fellow spirit’s endless needling. What was the meaning of calling a person’s proportions a ‘nine out of ten’, anyway? Was that some kind of spiritual power rating? Ah, but that just meant he was in even more trouble if she really was on the hunt… a-ah, and no, the idea that his sacrifice might bring her to a ten was not comforting! Maybe he could just ask Godfreya to smite Kagero and leave him…
Still, at least the lady seemed to be enjoying herself; whether or not his death was on the cards. Still playing along despite his nervousness and discomfort, the boy was given a chance to wonder about the lady’s musings… all this mention of ‘nee-san’ was a bit bizarre, but not entirely unwelcome. Perhaps she meant she was a homunculus too somehow? Or maybe she was referring to Kagero’s spiritual presence somehow? Well, the spirit in question certainly had some ideas; but they seemed to mostly involve thigh-high stockings and provocative musings; which Kinu figured were probably better left alone right now… though the image wasn’t entirely unwelcome…
The lady’s quarters were nice, though; very different to his own – unsurprisingly, Kinu’s own residence was especially small and half-hearted given his place in the organisation as an experiment at best; although Kagero’s influence had brought an oriental touch to the room which was particularly comforting. Still, it was certainly different to this… he didn’t even have a bedroom; only a futon. Not that he was complaining! B-But, he was a tiny bit jealous…
While briefly distracted by the room as he looked around curiously; Freya’s question earned a tiny squeak from the boy – err, how should he answer…? He did like bitter coffee, personally; he knew that much; but how to communicate it… Kinu settled on just pointing at the coffee mix she’d brought out, rather than the sugar. It didn’t really bother him anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal. For the moment, the boy thought it’d be a bit rude to sit down or the like, so he just sort of followed the girl along; tugging nervously on his scarf… honestly, he felt a bit bad for her; that armour mustn’t be comfortable.
