Seeing her shift back was gratifying...though it seems she read too much into my words, judging by the blush. That could be problematic...though I was in a very real sense masquerading as her lover. It was entirely likely she would have such expectations, especially if I was assumed to act as such. I might need to adjust my own expectations...or at least, conform them. “Kiyohime.” I reply.
Her description of her Mad Enhancement was shocking. “EX? Beyond any scale of measurement?” Though, that perhaps made sense. She didn’t fit the blanket mold of Mad Enhancement, not by any stretch. Perhaps it was possible that her irregular blanket view of people as Anchin was how her Enhancement formed itself? In any event...it didn’t seem to be so bad.
“Is that what you think? Then I apologize for making such assumptions about you. Still...I do not feel comfortable asking you to modify your body on my account.” He sighs. “But if you truly believe I am Anchin reborn, then you likely do not find it bothersome...especially considering I’m not running in fear of you.” He feels a twinge of guilt...as if he was taking advantage of Kiyohime’s madness. But this was for Chaldea...for the people inside of it, and honestly for her. And this dirty business at least did not involve death.
The clock on the wall makes a noise, indicate a changing of the hour. The cleaning staff should be arriving shortly. “Perhaps we should take a walk in the halls, Kiyohime. What I said earlier still applies...this place is one we should allow others to enjoy.”
