It didn’t take long before Miska’s consciousness faded.
Air should stay inside the lung. It cannot be let out, especially not into the pleural sac that regulates its pressure along with diaphragm. The moment it escapes there, it is no longer a closed system that can expand and tighten. It is basically a hollow, negative-pressured tube that sucks air.
The moment Miska’s lung stopped to expand, her brain shut down from the lack of oxygen. Normally, she could survive five or six minutes utilizing the oxygen left in her blood. But currently her prana was depleted trying to control the crazed Venetia Gear from before. As of now, her body’s metabolism was frantically trying to replenish those prana spent. It didn’t account the possibility that their resources would be cut short.
His elbows gave away. Miska could feel the cold floor hitting his nose as his head fell down. And as his world became black, strangely there was only one word left in him.
‘Sorry.’

Note: Thankfully I have a back-up plan X)Out of the crowds, glided one small robed figure, holding a runic staff. Their eyes were bright blue. Their hair had a bluish shade. This young person quickly approached the scene even before others realized what had happened. She arrived near the red-haired Master just as the child was coughing up blood. She only needed one glance before she shrieked. “This is an emergency! Someone activate Code Blue!”
Her voice was strange. It had a mixture of panic and composure in it, as if she had seen this often but never really a part of it. There was no denying the melodious tone that seemed to always present in her voice, either. It has a soothing effect. Unlike the Russian Master who had to voice out her complaints first, this small girl wordlessly bended down and immediately started to work. A sprinkle of occult dusk was followed by quick succession of Rune drawn on the air and near the Master’s body. A good observer might said that the runes were pretty basic, but one could not but admire her mastery of the linked meanings. Fehu… Raidho… Ansuz…But when the Russian Master abruptly stopped and started to leave, as if caring little, the girl’s eyes suddenly shot up in anger. It was strange seeing her face angered. Almost as if her features were not made for it. “And just where are you going?!” she said sharply, looking up from her bended position “Do you think this is-“But her words was cut short by the arrival of the green man carrying a single medical personnel. Which strangely, seemed to make her even more angry. “Just one?!” she shouted, sounding like an angry mother, “Did you not listen? This is not magical realm anymore. This is surgical emergency! I said Code Blue! What do you think carrying one can do? Does this look like a first-aid case to you?! This child’s dying!”But fortunately, the carried medical personnel knew just what to do. The child was right. It would be much more beneficial if someone could have activated the Medical Emergency protocol rather than carrying a personnel to the scene. The flustered medical personnel quickly activated the system, and seconds later the Emergency Response Team arrived, carrying their life-saving supplies. The unconscious Master was promptly intubated and given positive pressure on the spot. And as the medical team started to whisk her away with an appropriate carry, the child approached the Team Leader and conversed with him for a short while. One could see her giving a small vial containing clear liquid to him. “…how you proceeded, but give this when he wakes up. Test it, if you must. I’ve taken care of dying people before your grandfather was even born."To a trained eye, the vial clearly contained a potent magic. Perhaps that would be what a Healing Noble Phantasm looked like… The Team Leader thanked her and followed the other personnel as they rushed the Master to the Operation Room. She watched them leaving with an unreadable expression. But shortly, she turned towards the green man, smiling apologetically. “Kind Sir, I apologize for shouting at you before.“ She bowed her head slightly, before continue to mumble, “I was a little carried away… But what is with Magi these days? Are there so numerous of them that they hardly care for one? Planned demise is one thing, but in my days we never ignore accident. It was in our blood to always defy nature…”These last words seemed to be particularly aimed at the two Masters, who was calmly walking away. The girl seemed to be watching them with slight disapproval. Of course, it was courtesy of her Skill, who masked any hostile intention she ever had. She was actually looking at them with scorn.

Post by ROBIN on Feb 16, 2016 16:36:14 GMT
The look on the man's face was one of worry and confusion - It wasn't that Robert was useless in a combat situation, but he'd never had to deal with this aspect of combat before. He had dealt with healing the good old fashioned way - Using ripped clothes and vinegar to deal with disinfecting and bandaging wounds, making poultices and dealing with those areas of things. He had never had to use magical healing before, and every magical battle that he had ever been involved in was one where those who fell were supposed to be left for dead as they'd only slow the others down.
Now, this child was dying and he was certain that it was his own fault. He had been doing his job as a servant, trying to protect his masters from harm, but in turn he had hurt this master so badly to protect them. He hadn't... he hadn't meant to. For the first time in an eternity, he felt helpless. He was a warrior, he saved lives by killing the ones that were hurting them, but he wasn't a Shielder or a caster - he couldn't do anything.
This feeling of helplessness was replaced with one of irritation and anger when a diminutive blue caster started yelling at him. His attention snapped to her, his eyes focusing on her and narrowing in a way that demanded her silence without a single word. He was not in the mood for someone like her right now, and quite frankly if she wasn't going to help with this then why was she even bothering to be here?
Still, he moved across the room without complaint, waiting for the medical team to do their thing. It was a marvel how the average populace had grown to become so skilled at healing. Now, as long as someone had the will to, they could become a wonderful healer through merely their own sweat and blood. It made him happy... though, what made him less happy was the strange crystal vial that the girl gave to the leader of the medical team. Robin made a mental note of it. It was less a suspicion of evil intent, but more concern about what that was.
A normal man would have likely dismissed that as a harmless potion intended to help heal the boy. However, this was Robert - He had died from a situation just like this. He had trusted that someone had the best in mind for him, since they had never been hostile before. Then he had died... died from drinking poisoned soup. This seemed a little too coincidental to be mere chance. He wouldn't go so far as to make accusations, but he was going to have to ensure that that potion was tested heavily before use.
Thankfully, this thought was completely internal as the girl in quest moved over to him, smiling apologetically. Forcing a smile of his own, he listened to her talk whilst scowling internally. He wasn't the type of person who got overly suspicious of everyone and everything, but this just seemed too.... convenient to be anything but a trick, and tricksters were the type who didn't like to have the fact that they were tricksters publicly known.
"Oh, don't worry about it," he replied, apparently quite amicably ", it was a spur of the moment thing I quite understand. I used to get just as panicky before I served with Richard. Though... you're not wrong about those two. They seem too caught up in their own hormones to understand that they just witnessed a poor boy almost bleed out in front of them. I mean, I'd like to think I'm a casanova, but even I don't think I could go screw after I just watched an innocent child almost die before my eyes.
Though," he said, loud enough that the girls in question could hear "I suppose that's why the two of us wound up becoming legendary heroes worshipped throughout time as humanity's best and brightest, and they're just children who demanded our attention with basic magecraft."

The further clamour would just make Natasha sigh in exasperation – guilty, but too angry to care for the feeling. And yet, a certain band of merry men were now keen on making fun of her and her quarry; despite the obvious issue at hand. She did loathe to make a point of it, but in this case she felt the problem was pretty blatant… it was like taking care of school children sometimes. It was no surprise coming from magi who had their heads in the clouds, but Servants… she’d hoped they would bring some common sense if nothing else, but it looked like they’d only made things much worse.
”I’m flattered by your faith in my abilities, but it might baffle you to hear that having a blind person perform surgery is a poor idea. It might even shock you that a blind person is incapable of reading an entirely visual situation. As much as I take utmost pride in my accomplishments, there's certainly a point where I am disadvantaged. Ah, wait; sorry, you prefer the term ‘cripple’, don’t you? Maybe that should clear things up some more.” replied Natasha scathingly to the unsubtle commentary on her attitude; unable to help but rise to the bait as it was presented to her. ”I would have hoped that ‘humanity’s best and brightest’ had a bit more consideration towards a 'cripple' or at least some comprehension of the basics of first aid – don’t touch it if you don’t know how to handle it – but, not everyone’s perfect. Even if they might say they are.”
While her eyes were closed, the irritated frown on her face made her current temperament clear despite her relatively calm tone… well, that firm touch to it aside, anyway. ”Even at this point I can’t really tell if you’re just trying to make fun of me or not with this whole scene, given you’re already calling me a cripple and insulting me to my face; but I’d hope that ‘humanity’s best and brightest’ at least have their priorities in check and aren’t mocking someone while they’re supposedly acting as superheroes and saving someone’s life. Or, say, accusing someone of not seeing something they can’t see, and not going to help with something they don’t know how to help; or might even make worse; or are unable to describe. That’d come off as a bit less than heroic, wouldn’t it?”
”Or, perhaps I should have shoved ‘humanity’s best and brightest’ out of the way to handle it myself, right? If I’m to be a hero, I have to have heroic enthusiasm! I might be blind and have almost no medical experience, but I should leap at the chance to try and make a miracle despite everything to the contrary. I’ll keep that advice in mind; maybe it’ll help on a mission. Attacking a group of ghouls myself sounds exciting. I’m sure it’ll work out better than my current strategy of doing what I’m supposed to do as a specialised Master… ah, that might have gotten me to the best ranked provisional Master at the moment, but I suppose it can’t be right compared to the thoughts of ‘humanity’s best and brightest’.”
Seeming satisfied in her tirade, Natasha swung her hair back over her shoulder as she turned away from the incident; furious enough to give up on her argument now. She had better things to do than play with idiotic magi again. Darn, she thought she’d grown out of getting dragged into this sort of thing; but to be treated like this was just demeaning. ‘Cripple’… what a disgusting word. ”I’ll leave ‘humanity’s best and brightest’ to their hobby of insulting regular people now, I think. I’d hate to get in the way of legendary heroes doing their best to help the world, after all.” mused the blonde, before taking her leave – with poor Ai in tow and probably a bit dizzy from Natasha’s spinning on the spot; assuming she hadn’t zipped away in the meantime.

With a lot of verbal fighting on going, one could easily think that someone like Ai would step in and try to be a middleman... Sadly, no. Ai was too busy drowning in her own delusions about being carried by her lover like a princess to worry about the situation they were dealing with at the moment. The world would be even tearing apart and she wouldn't notice until it hit them both. One single glance at Ai could easily describe her as "too careless", her face was showing a lot of happiness to even think she had witness someone almost getting killed.
"Natasha is so strong, her words sound so magnificent, even when she looks so serious she is so beautiful... and even now in her arms... this means I'm hers right?...!" Right now, Ai was trapped in Natasha's charms. Only by taking her away from her arms she would probably wake up from her delusion.
"Hmm..." Ai stopped for a moment while staring at Natasha's face. Ai realized she was getting all kind of good treatments from her, even to get so close to her body and her face it would be only fair to return the favor right? While in her arms, there was not much she could do but one thing... Ai held Natasha's face for a moment after being turned around, the best moment when she was not paying attention to do what would be the "first time" for Ai. "Chu..." A quick kiss on Natasha's lips to show her gratitude and feelings for her. Not entirely sure whether she did good or not she let out a playful giggle and hid her face on Natasha's chest.
"hehe~" Maybe Ai could have done a bit more but all the moving around and all the things happening were probably too much for her, she felt dizzy and all she could do now was hang on her lover while being carried away.

The blue-haired Caster listened politely to what Robin had to say. Ever an attentive listener, she knew people did not like to be interrupted. So she agreed with everything he said. Until the last sentence, which was blatantly aimed at the two Masters; That drew an audible sigh from her. “But Kind Sir… must you said it aloud?”Her whisper in a clearly resigned tone, she gave a “ now look what you’ve done" gaze towards Robin the moment Natasha stopped her walk. Obviously, this Servant was of a peaceful nature that hated confrontation. There was a reason why she mumbled instead of saying her thoughts aloud earlier. ”I’m flattered by your faith in my abilities, but it might baffle you to hear that having a blind person… ... ... ... ...”Amazingly, the petite Caster did not take offense or ran away, or even seemed to have the slightest intention of fighting back. Instead, she bravely walked right in front Natasha and took the full brunt all of the words. Everyone present could see a Servant stood with slightly bowed head and clearly apologizing look being berated by a Master. It would not change whether Robert joined her or glaring somewhere far away instead. She had taken all the blame, alone if needed be, and her presence there would even be felt by the sightless Natasha. There was no hostility at all emanated from her person. She had an almost palpable aura of a true Servant. A true ally. The most understanding of friends. The moment Natasha finished venting her anger, the Caster giddied a little, like a sponge having soaked too much water. But she meekly bowed and make a gesture of apology towards the Master, even while she knew full well the Russian would not be able to see her. Her posture, however, was clearly reflected in her tone. “Kind Lady, I dearly apologize for what my comrade and I had said.” She said, pitifully facing the floor, “It must have offended you greatly, for which we are very sorry. I am… sure my comrade did not really mean what he said and I... certainly apologize for yelling at you. Your little help was of immense value to the child’s life, I assure you.“We might have been 'humanity’s best and brightest', but we had no right to judge others by it. You, or your... special friend, might be the humanity’s best and brightest of today. We were wrong for thinking so highly of our own meaningless past and by that you have every right to be angry at us. We are very, very sorry. Please, accept our apology.”She lifted her head and try to motion for Robert to apologize too. Or at least, giving him an oh-so-meaningful gaze so that he would not thwart her effort at making peace with another tactless blur of words. But shortly after the “lost puppy” sneaked a surprise kiss on the “princess”. She quickly averted her gaze from the scene and stared at the floor once again. ”I’ll leave ‘humanity’s best and brightest’ to their hobby of insulting regular people now, I think. I’d hate to get in the way of legendary heroes doing their best to help the world, after all.”Once again, she bowed low. “Once again, we are very sorry for what we had said, Generous Lady. We won’t do it ever again.”Still bowing, she kept her position until Natasha had really gone. Only after the Russian’s footsteps disappeared did she move from her position. “Those were rather careless words, Kind Sir. If I may say so.” She said as she walked back towards the Archer. “It was already over then, and there was no use in insulting them directly at their presence. Why did you bother?” There was certain sternness in her eyes that might surprise the merry man as she said the words. It was hard to seriously take a child who was giving a lecture on morals. But then again, it was what separated the good from the truly great. The child looked deadly serious.
