| For a man of the faith, for a high ranking man of the faith, Turpin was an excentric and though definitely a pious man, he was also a man who engaged in the misadventures of the Peers. Also possibly the bash he received on his head might have loosen a screw or two.
In short Turpin is roudy and pious, being prone to having a loose and humorous tongue. |
Skill 03 | Baptism Sacrament: B+ Rank
| Type of magecraft that changed style into a church form. It is effective on a spiritual body. Through the use of Almace, Turpin is capable of forcing spirits through a process of dispelling. |
Skill 04 | Protection of the Faith: B+ Rank | A Skill possessed only by those who have sacrificed themselves for a religious view. Despite being a form of divine protection, it is not a blessing from a higher existence. It is only the absoluteness of one's body and soul, which is born from faith.
Turpin is a strange mix of unshackable faith, pragnatism and fanatism tempered by camradie and bravery. |
Class Skills Skill 01 | Magic Resistance: B Rank | Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against Magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals.
Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected. |
Skill 02 | Riding: C Rank | The ability to ride beasts and vehicles. If the Servant has a Noble Phantasm which works as a steed, etc. the Riding skill’s rank has to match the rank of that Noble Phantasm for the Servant to be able to use it.
At this rank, the Servant is capable of handling almost any mount and medium-sized vehicles with an average amount of skill. |
Noble Phantasm
| Almace: The Almighty | Rank: B | Type: Anti-unit | The sword gifted by Charlemagne to Turpin, when the Peers were first formed. Almace is a massive three meter long sword. A Holy sword related to the likes of Durandal and Cortana as well as Jouyse.
Almace possess the foundation of "Almighty" and functions like a catalyst and amplifier for the Sacraments of the Church, making Almace exceedingly efficient when facing Spirits. It is a Holy Blade that carries the faith of the Church, it is blade which's power grows and it's weight lessens through Faith. For someone like Turpin, Almace weights as comfortably as an average one handed sword would, with each swing having herculean levels of powers.
However, Almace true power only comes into play when prayers and the power of sacraments are given to the blade. At that point the "Almighty" attribute shines, causing the blows caused by Almace to be "unstoppable". The sword seemingly channels the might of the Church and neither strength or skill becomes capable of resisting or deflecting the blade. It isn't a case of being "unaviolable" or a heart seeking curse but more of a runaway train, a force that cannot be stopped. |

The Bishop
Turpin of Reims, the highly controversial but beloved cleric. Some even speculate that he was one the progenitor or examples that inspired the creation of the Executors. Regardless he was definitely one of the earlier symptoms of the Church turning Militant.
Regardless of his legacy or his origin. Turpin was both a pious and simple man who picked up the sword for a cause greater than him. He may have hunted evil spirits, and fiends that feed on humanity, but that is uncertain. What is known of Turpin was that he was a loving man who through popularity rose through the ranks of the Church, he wasn't a sage but he possessed a simple-man's wisdom.
Among the Peers Archbishop Turpin was among the first men to join Charlemagne's Peers, it is said that he was enchanted by the then young Prince(ss) and became of Charlemagne's companions ever since. Turpin alongside Namo and Ganelon became the guardian fathers to the Peers and their friendship as well as their role in the Peers often ended up being rearing the more adventurous members and being the ones that remained behind to guard Charlemagne as well as advise their king.
Turpin though rowdy, often acted as the bridge between the Kingdom and the Church. Though in his later years, it could be said that he favored his king and peers more than he did his loyalty to the Church. Battle of Roncevaux Pass Turpin was with the Peers during the faithful battle that ended their lives. Like many of the Peers, he remained behind with Roland and perhaps was among those that incited Roland to not sound the horn to call their mighty king. Turpin fought in that battle and was mortally wounded, he was stabbed and received a blow to the head, rendering him unconcious.
When he woke up again, only Roland remained standing, exhausted. Perhaps it was the blood loss or the concussion mixed in with his loving nature that made Turpin fight his way across the battlefield, fetch a flask of water and deliver it to his foolish friend. Turpin died on Roland's arm, his last words finally making the Paladin sound the Olifant... Character Details 5 Alignment: Lawful Good Additional Servant Classes: Assassin, Caster.
