He was like a wrecking ball of fury and justice. Screaming her name to the heaven's he only had eyes for those two who had dared to shame the most beloved Jeanne.
Yet it wasn't enough, he needed more emphasis that his newfound crusade was truly just in it's efforts. He had to make sure others nearby would understand the gravity of the situation before them. And in his blinded state he could only think of one way of doing so.
"JEANNE!!!!!!!"
Shouting her name into the heavens ignorant of any who might be nearby to hear he charged forth ignoring startled passerby until he came across a single person who seemed to fit the description given to him by the helpful Servant outside.
The Red Servant with darkened skin and snow white hair who appeared to be minding his own business. But his peace was about to come to an end, and Gilles welcomed it all the same.
"You! Such a foul villain to beseech her name! On the honor of the knight's of France and Marshal of her most holy army, I demand you draw your blade and receive your punishment here and now! You who are not fit to stand in these halls let alone call yourself a Servant, face thine justice most well deserved!"
Unsheathing his own blade from his side, Gilles began to rush forwards in an attempt to beat his newfound foe senseless until he learned the error of his ways. And if he lost a few limbs in the process, well it would be much deserved. After all, this man was one who dared to humiliate the great Jeanne de Arc.

Today had been very tiring. After the debacle at the grocery store and the nonsense that derived from it, I was in full mind to simply sleep away the rest of the day, indulging in periods of unconsciousness that weren't required for a Servant's existence. However, an oncoming commotion made me sigh....it was pretty sure I wouldn't get the chance.
A loud shout makes that more accurate. "...Jeanne?" The woman Counter Guardian that had accompanied me on one or two missions that were too difficult for a single Beast of Alaya to handle...the Saint of Orleans. I knew of her, though we hadn't spoken much...what was this man intending from it.
Accusations flew left and right, and I was able to extract a scant few facts. Kanshou and Bakuya appear in my hands, and I block his first attack, dodging to the left. "Marshal? So, Gilles de Rais..." I knew a small bit about the Hundred Years War's conclusion...so, this was the famous and infamous Marshal of France...
I advance, thrusting forward with the Yin blade as the Yang blade is held back to try and protect myself from his devastating attacks. "I have never spoken ill about Her Holiness Saint Jeanne of Arc. I do not appreciate false accusations being laid against me. Isn't there some chance we can discuss this?" It was clear I had been set up...that much was obvious. But who, and why...those were the real questions. "Who told you otherwise?"

Gilles was not about to fall for this arrogant man's silver tongue. Despite what he might of said towards his innocence, the shining knight knew better.
"I will not fall for these foul words of villainy! The truth lies in your repentance!If you mean what you say then you will accept my divine justice!"
His arms surged with newfound strength as his mind further clouded in anger. Wielding his silver sword with both hands he attempted to beat down the criminal before him with as much strength as he could muster.
The grounds within the hallways began to crack with the sheer force of Gilles strikes, he was not going to waver and he was not about to let justice go unanswered regardless of what this criminal's intentions might be.

...This man was insane.
That was about all I could do to justify what was happening. He was the stereotype of the holier-than-thou knight who would oppress those weaker than him. Perhaps I was being hasty in this summation, but anyone who could think that a truly innocent person would simply accept being run through by a sword because a certain Marshal told them to was not right in the head. It seemed that negotiations and simple clarifications would not work out here.
Fortunately, this was assuredly lethal force. He was being attacked by a sword. So he had no reason to hold back for reacting in kind. "If you won't listen to my words, I'm afraid I'll have to make you listen to my blades."
I'm able to dodge and parry around the majority of his strikes, but I know I'll suffer if I have to block too many of them on my own. I wonder how I manage to keep finding myself in these absurd situations...first Atlas, then Tamamo, and now Gilles de Rais. My strikes are quicker and lighter then his, remaining balanced and poking in through the weak points I see in his full-force fighting style.
"Who told you I had insulted Saint Jeanne? If you've been lied to, wouldn't you want to get revenge on the person truly responsible? I would rather not fight a knight of your caliber..."

Why did it matter to this wretched fool who spoke of his crimes? The fact that such a thing was brought to light at all surely meant that there was truth to it. And besides Gilles could tell, this red knight before him was the kind who would flirt with all manner of females.
From the way his hair was arrogantly spiked upwards to that constant cynical air about his very being, this truly was a foe that need to be defeated, if not for the sake of his own saint, then for the sake of all the other innocent woman around the world!
This was truly a task worth taking on in full. A task worth devoting one's life to, even at the cost of what virtues might remain.
"Do not forget your own follies, you foul red knight. That golden haired man spoke the truth and after seeing your face I see no reason to distrust him! I know of your type, you would have easily sided with the British if given the chance. If you think to dissuade thine's own justice then prepare yourself for a grave awakening!"
Unleashing an inhuman houl, Gilles face cringed in a maddened rage as a darkened aura quickly spread across his body. Freezing for only a moment he then began to attack in full force. His movements were quicker, his blows that much stronger as if to beat down the very concept of flirtatiousness.
Ignorant of any passerbys who might be caught in the crossfires he continued the charge with far more power than before.

My words seemed to matter a flat zero to the insane Marshal, and so as a result I focus on combat. My swords clash and dance around his searching for the weak points and striking at his armor. While he seemed unfazed by my strikes, I was sure this was a stalemate I would win eventually. He simply wasn't able to touch me, as deadly as his strikes would be.
His words reveal the truth to me, and I feel like banging my head against the wall. "The golden-haired man is someone who holds a deep, personal grudge against me for reasons totally inconsequential to the matter at hand." His words continue to lapse on into absurdities...apparently I would have sided with the British in the Hundred Years War purely on the fact that I made an enemy. Wonderful.
It's right then that he lets out a howl that chills my blood. That's not the sound of a human being, however insane. That's the howl of an animal...or more accurately to the situation, a Berserker. His actions are more forceful, making parrying unreliable, and his actions grow faster, making dodging less riskless. This totally shifted the dynamics of the fight, in a way I was wholly uncomfortable with continuing, as his strikes would doubtlessly prove to be even more deadly.
I charge Kanshou and Bakuya with excess prana in my hands, breaking them, before throwing them at him with explosive force. Leaping backwards, I project my bow and fire mana-charged arrows at him. I don't want to project more powerful Phantasms as I didn't know the level of endurance this man has, and firing Noble Phantasms at him would likely cause collateral damage I was not comfortable with. Unless it proved absolutely necessary, I would not escalate past my swords and bow...though that would likely prove foolhardy at best against a madman who will do anything to punish me falsely for the crime of womanization.

Letting forth another ear piercing howl Gilles swung at the incoming projectiles with all his might. His thoughts had become even further blurred by the pure unending rage that flowed through his veins.
With far more strength and agility then ever before the maddened marshal was thrown back slightly by the force of the exploding blades. His armor cracked with a sickly black energy befitting his ongoing corruption as he attempted to regain his stance to initiate another charge completely ignoring any of the damage the magic infused arrows might be giving him.
He was already obsessed with his one target, the red Servant before him. Like a cruel toy being possessed by an even crueler child he would not halt his advance until either he or his foe was defeated. Like a mad beast he charged outright straight towards his foe blade outstretched and face more grotesque than ever before.
"DiE!!"

There wasn't any need for words at this point. Gilles de Rais was coming at him with intent to kill, and he was too insane to be talked down reasonably. The only thing I could hope for was finding a way to prevent him from dying as I subdued him, which was difficult as lethal force was both acceptable and likely necessary in a situation like this.
As he charges madly forward, I know I can't take half-measures. The aura radiating from him was unmistakably Mad Enhancement, and while his swords have caused some damage, they didn't do nearly enough to do more than stagger him. So he had to take it up to the next level. If C-ranked Broken Phantasms didn't work...It seemed it was time to go to the old reliable. "Trace on." I say as I sidestep the charge, leaping to avoid a retaliatory swing. He'd likely change tack almost immediately, but this should give him something to chew on. I pull back the bowstring and the spiral sword charges with energy. "Caladbolg!"

His mind was filled with nothing but pure hatred and rage, clouded by madness he cared only for the target before him. His swings were rash and reckless and he was ignorant of any damage he himself might take. Yet he continued to charge on, until 'she' had justice he would stop at nothing. Yes this man needed to be punished...
'Punished...?' Maybe he was far too focused on the fight ahead but his original intentions were probably already lost in the haze of fury that now clouded his head. What was it this man did? Why was he even here? Deep down, Gilles knew it was important, but he could not remember exactly what it was.
Blade outstretched his body was already moving on its own without regard to Gilles own well-being. His eyes pulsing in disgust at the red man before him. With a hideous snarl like howl he charged yet again oblivious to the incoming missile, and crashed into it head on.

"Milady, fear not, I will do all within my power to make sure you are kept safe. If anyone, ANYONE, besmirches your name I, the Grand Marshal of France, Gilles de Rais will be their judge, jury, and executioner. For that is my duty to both, myself, and my country."
"You did it again, didn't you?"
"Why of course! I would not hesitate to continue dealing justice to all who dare to trample under your fair name."
"Oh Gilles..."
"Fear not milady, under your most holiest of banners, the kingdom of France will never fa-"
*Poke*
"Ah..."

Blown back by the explosion of a broken phantasm Gilles slammed straight into the back wall creating an enormous Gilles shaped crater around him. His armor was in tatters and his body held numerous wounds where the damage he had begun to accumulate had taken its toll.
But even then after taking so much abuse it took only an instant for the Grand Marshal to recover his bearings.
"W-what on earth is going on!?"
The madness from his face was already fading away, as if a bout of amnesia had hit him straight in the head, it appeared he had little knowledge of the past few minutes. Like a blank canvas he blankly glanced around the room until he inevitably saw his former foe.
"Excuse me sir, there appears to be some sort of engagement occurring around this area."
Lifting himself out of the marshal shaped hole in the wall he once more stood on his feet as he faced his newfound companion.
"If you will excuse me, I am Servant Saber, Grand Marshal of France, Gilles de Rais. Would you please so kind to inform me of what has transpired these past few hours? I can't seem to remember much of what has happened since I awoke this morning."
Projecting a polite bow he patiently awaited the red coated Servant's response.

The explosion of Fergus Mac Roich's blade impacts the maddened Marshal with highly lethal force. A force of this nature is one that even Hercules, the ultimate hero of ancient Greece, one of the most powerful Heroic Spirits that possessed a huge endurance and passively defensive Noble Phantasm, had to block or else lose one of his lives. Seeing that it struck Gilles de Rais straight on, at his head no less, I begin to move back. I am highly confident that he's dead, but take no chances.
My caution is rewarded when, against all odds, the madman stirs, despite impacting the wall as well as taking his Noble Phantasm's explosive strike. I prepare another arrow...sinking the mana required to harm him. My next shot will definitely be lethal. There is no question.
...That is, until he speaks to me. That raised a fair few questions.
I lower my bow. "...It seems you've returned to your senses. It's said an impact on the head might accomplish that." I think of the best way to broach the situation. Wisdom from my adopted father, Kiritsugu Emiya comes to me. In situations like these..."No way out but through. Lord Marshal, I'm sorry to say that you attacked me, under false pretenses. From what I was able to gather from your rage-filled ranting, you were led to believe from someone who has a personal vendetta against me that I made disparaging, even lewd remarks regarding Lady Jeanne D'Arc. As I attempted to say to you, nothing could be further from the truth."
