“Ahhhhh!!!! Ohhhh myyy Gooooddddd!!!!”
Rin found her screams echoing down the long passageway alongside the slam of the poor avian creature the old Atlantean had managed to pick up. In all honesty, she expected that Atlas would merely carry the frolicking cock out and just endure it’s little fit, so t say she was shocked when he bent over and slammed the flaming chicken to the ground was an understatement. Her eyes followed the body of the poor flaming bird as it rag dolled and sprawled across the floor, it was quite likely dead from such a brutal impact, or at the very least broken both its legs. Rin soon regained herself and glared up at the blond, gritting her teeth and gripping her palms.
“W-what was that for!? If you really wanted to capture it alive, you could’ve just asked me to put it in a magical cage. There’s no need to wrestle the poor thing into submission!” Rin was honestly far less invested in the chicken as she was in keeping Atlas as peaceful as possible, though such a task seemed purely despondent as he would just disregard her anyways. “Good grief,” Rin sighed to herself as her tantrum faded and her mind returned to the mission at hand; as Archer set her back down she dusted herself off and patted his back gently as a show of thanks for his protection from the dastardly chicken of fire.
“Now if you’re done attempting to slam everything in plain sight Saber, we should continue…” Rin teased in a somewhat haughty tone, perhaps it was her ego trying to speak up again, but she was going to attempt to take charge for the rest of this hectic endeavor.
“Licht”
Rin chanted as she held up an emerald that produced a faint, yet visible light so the party could continue their endeavor deeper into the bowels of the old fortress. Rin examined the various glowing runes inscribed upon the ancient walls, the dust falling off the ceiling mostly obscured her view of them however and she was eventually left blind to the inscriptions. Despair came to the mage’s mind when she finally realized that the likelihood of coming out of the caverns with discoveries of older mage craft was seeming like a distant dream now, and the only real priority now was to escape the caves alive and well. A goal that was off put by the absence of their fourth member, Judas.
“As much of a pain in life as he is in death, I suppose the King of Traitors can’t even take a simple and sane command to heart. Sigh, and just when things were starting to look up…” Rin mused to herself when suddenly she spotted the red haired boy up ahead and he was…conversing with someone else?
“Must just be another monster sent in by these traps hoho, there’s no way anyone could still be living in this fortress,” Rin now made her attempt at peace as she walked ahead and right up to the rather spooky specimen, about to demonstrate how one SHOULD interact with new sentient beings. Hearing it talk brought some relief, perhaps this mission wouldn’t be a total waste as long as they could bring something of value back.
“Our spaceship is in repairs, but there’s not much to see on mars anyways. Sheesh, a millennia of rest and that’s the first thing you ask?”
