| [PTabbedContent=Merlin Caster][PTab=Status]Parameters Personal Skills Skill 01 | Clairvoyance: A+ | Known as the "Eyes that See Through the World", they are the symbol of a Magus that is said to be supreme. Merlin has the gift of prophecy, and through his Clairvoyance is able to divine a great many things, both in material secrets and the secrets of magic and fate.
|
Skill 02 | Man of Many Mysteries: A+ | Sorcerer, Poet, Druid, Bard, Prophet, Hermit, Seer. Some of many titles attributed to Merlin over the years, a man of many names, many legends and many origins. Throughout his life Merlin became associated with many mysteries, tales and legends, and even after his vanishing from the world of men, his legend lived on and flourished, much to a certain Witches annoyance.
This skill provides Merlin access to a myriad of schools of Magecraft, ranging from Druidism to Witchcraft, Prophecy and Divination, and onward. Any magecraft not specifically inherent to a person, he probably has some knowledge and skill at, and is capable of teaching given proper time and effort. |
Skill 03 | Divinity: E- | While Merlin is a half-breed and was actually meant to kind of be the demonic Anti-Christ, [Which would give him a rank of A] his demonic roots were dampened and ultimately nullified with his baptism as a child, drastically reducing the effect his demonic parenthood had on him. While he retains a slight vulnerability to anti-demon Sacraments and the like, and retains some of the lecherous personality, his rank in this is incredibly low due to his Baptism. Additionally, he possesses Mystic Eyes of Charm due to his heritage as an Incubus, which normally would be always active. However, due to his ability to shape-shift, he often simply shape shifts the eyes away as he finds them "morally offensive", which is another way of him saying "It makes things too easy." |
Skill 04 | Shapeshift: A | Merlin was known for the ability to change his shape, and is the reason so little is known and recorded about him. His ability to change his shape, physical and magical attributes is virtually unlimited, capable of changing his physical appearance to whatever he wishes. Due to this ability he can often change shape into a myriad of forms, usually settling on a physical appearance that "pleases him" temporarily, which can change in a manner of minutes to a manner of years. This ability is also what stopped him from aging, and gave the impression that he did not age, or sometimes that he even aged backwards. While shape shifted, Merlin can change nearly all of his physical and magical characteristics easily, allowing him to pass even the most thorough tests and be considered for all intents and purposes "another person."
Merlin can also shape-shift others, to a lesser extent. While changing physical attributes to become another person requires a large amount of time and generally only lasts a short while, making "minor" changes is rather easy and quick, and can last for long periods of time. These minor changes include changing hair colors, small changes to height and weight, strength, changing someone's gender, skin color hue, fixing sausage fingers, etc. |
Class Skills Skill 01 | Territory Creation: A | Merlin is often credited with the creation of Stonehenge. Give you one good guess what his territory looks like. Did you get it? Spoiler: It's Stonehenge. Supposedly created to bury Ambrosius Aurelianus, Uther Pendragon, and even Constantine III, the site has become a global icon of Druid culture. Wherever Merlin creates this skill, it begins to massively drain prana of the surrounding land to itself, creating a focal point of Mana, even if several are already present. However, this takes some time to create, roughly a day or so to fully erect, and has the unfortunate side-effect of being incredibly easy to track, making creating it both cumbersome and dangerous. However, while inside the area, roughly a mile or so around the structure itself, Merlin has access to virtually unlimited Mana, causing his Prana and magical ability to increase exponentially. |
Skill 02 | Item Creation: A+ | While Merlin is not proficient enough a magus to make enchanted objects such as Excalibur and Avalon, things in the realm of Faeries and Gods, he is known for the creation of Caliburn, a holy sword in it's own right, and devised many of the other holy swords used by some of the Knights of the Round Table, such as the Sword of the River initially drawn by Galahad.
As such, Merlin is capable of crafting Mystic Codes of the near-utmost caliber, the brink of man-made artifacts. Even those he creates incarnated as a Servant verge on Noble Phantasms, and he may enchant and enhance already existing items of some note or mystery to be roughly equivalent to Nobl |
Noble Phantasm Adviser to the King; Creator of Legends | Rank: A | Type: Support | A manifestation of Merlin's renown as a "Maker of a Heroes", the adviser whom orchestrated Camelot and the Round Table. This Noble Phantasm allows him to apply the concept of a "Hero of Fame" onto another. As such, he cannot use this Noble Phantasm on himself, and requires an allied target for the phantasm to be used. When used on other heroic spirits, it grants them a rank up in all parameters for their stats OR a rank up in all of their Skills, lasting for as long as they are within a mile or so of Merlin. This is considered a reduced effect as Heroic Spirits are already "Heroic" and as such do not benefit as much from the ability.
When used on normal humans, [those who are not spirits/demons/elements/etc] or Magi, the human gains the concept of a "Hero", amplifying their heroic qualities and causing them to suffer a massive increase in power equivelant to extreme Reinforcement. The degree to which the human is boosted is relative to their own physical or magical ability compared to other humans; Those with an extreme capability compared to other regular humans or magi become comparable to the strongest servants, while those who are considered mediocre or weak become comparable to mediocre or weak servants, and can even boost their natural traits to become roughly Servant-level skills. Considered the true use of his phantasm, Merlin can only boost a single human at a time this way, but once boosted they no longer need to be near Merlin in order to receive the benefit, and it lasts for as long as Merlin is summoned, or until he cancels it.
Merlin can only have one chosen "Hero" at a time, and can swap between them once a day.

The Magus of Flowers Known as the "Magus of Flowers", despite being an adviser and beneficiary to Camelot and all it's denizens, Merlin also happens to be the root of much of their troubles. A playful, and secretive man, Merlin's tendency to cause mischief and mayhem is often as much a source of misery as it is mirth. His womanizing habits do not help this. The Would-Be Anti-Christ The father of a demon, Merlin is a man born with the purpose of being the Anti-Christ, and ushering in the Apocalypse. Fortunately for everyone, one good ol'fashioned baby baptism stopped all this because apparently Satan still doesn't see that one coming.
Still, a part of him remains Incubi, a demonic eater of dreams and drenching him in the mystic side of the world. A foot in both the spiritual and physical worlds, Merlin's entire existence is steeped in mystery. A Painter and his Canvas Merlin has few things in the world he truly cares about; Or rather, it should be said he has few things he treasures above others. A man filled with Love, Merlin views everything he sees, and every person he meets with the Love one might have for a delicious meal or beautiful painting. But this Love can also turn to hate, and hate born of Love is the strongest there is. He blames his habits of sleeping around on this inherent love for others, claiming it's an "expression of love". The jury's still out on whether it's a load of crap, but given that he's part Incubus people don't seem to pry.
While he does not hold special attachment to many things, he has a particular fondness of the Pendragons. Uther, for all his faults, was one of Merlin's more interesting friends. Arturia verges between a "pet project" and a surrogate daughter, with him growing a particular sense of attachment to her as she grew into the perfect King he envisioned she could be.
And as much as he hates to admit it, he has quite the soft spot for Nimue, which is probably why he also hates her so much. Of Towers and Avalon Merlin's ultimate fate is no great secret; Realizing that his student-lover Nimue was attempting to kill him for the secrets of his Magecraft, he fled off into Avalon, a land of magic and fae not meant for mortal men. In the end however, she succeeded in trapping him there; Supposedly forever.
And perhaps that was for the best. His time was done, and all things must come to an end. With his divine gift of Clairvoyance, Merlin watched the world as ages past inside his tower of solitude, and he was happy. For while he was not among the people of the world, he could still watch it unfold, watch as kingdoms rose and fell, and people came and went. A certain clarity overcame him, and he was content to just watch the ages unfold, immortal and unchanging.
That said, maybe the maker of mischief wasn't quite so inactive as the world believes... [/PTab][/PTabbedContent={width:430px;tab-alignment=center;}] |
