Even behind her cool-looking appearance, Naho was crying deep inside. The thought of dying in the battlefield was no issue but dying by herself with nobody around to acknowledge her was a very awful feeling. During Muramasa's words, her body was heating up incredibly, not any normal heat but one coming from her magic circuits... If she was going to die here then she might as well do her best to fight till the end. Naho regained composure for a few moments, even with her Fire Burst at rank C it would be enough for her to increase her chances a little bit. She walked towards the exit of the house and before she could say another word, a huge explosion followed, throwing her about 30 meters away from the area to a nearby house.
“What is going on?! Just what in the world am I going against?!”
Her eyes widened as she quickly stood up, only to realize that the house and part of the area around it was nothing but a wide crater in the ground. Whatever or whoever did this had a huge power and 1 direct hit would be deadly for her.
“To go one on one...? Just what in the world was I thinking...?”
Her body shaking a bit from the fear inflicted, her words nothing but faint whispers in the dense air that surrounded her but the distance made her realize something, the communication with Chaldea was somehow fixed like nothing happened. If she had a chance to escape this was probably the time but her mental state was making it already difficult for her to activate the ray-shift. Even trying to yell it out loud was useless, fear had dominated the best of her. Unconsciously she decided to run, far away from the place and maybe that would only give her a chance of survival.

The monster widened his glowing eyes and finally noticed the measly girl, thrown away far from where he was. He began quickly marching towards her way, his hand firmly gripping the hilt of the blade. His pace increased as he got closer and closer, with a devious grin that was growing wider with ambition, as he went to slay yet one more. This thing, this creature going after a doomed master had truly lost any semblance of what it used to be. What he stood for, his very core as a human would deny this sort behavior above everything else. His victim was a simple girl, alone in a hellish place, not even especially capable or strong or quick; this was a murder that would defile any honor or mercy he had in life as a warrior.
However, you should ignore such thoughts...Right now it would be pointless to think of what that warrior would do.
The thing attacking the master simply wasn't that warrior. It looked like him, and used the talents he did in life, but it certainly was not him.
The Lost Berzerker was now close enough to smell his desired victim, and his speed was close to that of a tractor. Rather than go for a quick slash, he instead threw his open hand at the girl, planning on picking her up and crushing her, slowly. He'd make this kill last a bit longer than needed.

Running was futile. She realized this while she was running away from that monster, even worse, with making use of her spell on herself her speed was not even close to be normal, it was in fact slower. She drew a bit of her strength and jumped against a door of a nearest house, the impact didn't damage her but it made her realize something... She was walking with at least 3 broken ribs and she was already coughing blood out of her mouth. Her fears while inside the house quickly faded away as they were replaced by adrenaline. The pain slowly intensifying but she had no intentions of giving up, at least not now. She could hear the monster nearby, he was faster than her, his monstrous power more than enough to tear anything in his path but he didn't seem to be smart enough, in fact... Maybe if she hided and waited for Chaldea's communication again she would get out of this one?
“Damn it... damn it damn it damn it damn it!!!!!!”
She crawled outside to the backyard of the house she was in, she just remembered what happened to the place she was in with her servants and staying there would just mean she'd die right away. The footsteps of the monster could be heard from afar but it could be right next to her any time soon. Naho tried to get up, there was still a chance; Only if she could get up and jump pass the fence of the backyard, then run 3 houses away and hide she could probably call on Chaldea and get out... Well, easier said than done right?
“kghh...WHY NOW?!”
The pain accumulated was now finding its way out. Every muscle connected to her rib-cage moving was like pouring alcohol into a deep wound constantly. Such a pain she had to overcome if she wanted to continue on living. She could not die here, no, she wouldn't die here. She again continued to push against her limits, pushing herself up the fence and falling down to the concrete. Her broken ribs damaging inside her was concerning, she was afraid of a possible hemorrhage on going but she had to continue. Instead of moving the houses ahead she grabbed a rock and threw it against a window of the house before the one she was in, breaking it and making a loud noise. If the beast was just that, then that would build enough time for her.
“I can't sit here and wait... I have to find somewhere to hide and get out!!!”
Then she saw it in front of her. The ruins of a what seemed to be once a big house and probably the perfect if not dangerous place to hide. She had to take the gamble and there was no time to lose. Wounded and fatigued while her spell was fading away, she somehow managed to reach the ruins, hiding herself in the center and leaning her back against what seemed to be a solid pillar. Hopefully the beast would get confused and look for her somewhere else far from her current position and she would be safe to leave.
“C-Chaldea... please... save...me...”
The poor girl couldn't talk anymore, not even whisper. Just her spirit not willing to give up was somehow keeping her conscious. If Chaldea could receive the message from her circuits, then that was her only chance of getting out of this one.

Would it work? The Monster didn't seem to be fazed by all the destruction it had caused. To say he had only one thought in his mind would be incorrect, for he had none. His rabid hatred for his target was akin to sleepwalking, an unconscious behavior forced upon him by circumstance. Through the flames, he heard the sharp sound of glass shattering, an annoyingly distasteful sound to him. It seems he had sensitivity towards sounds of destruction only when he wasn't the one causing them. He would take a slight detour ,simply to release the frustration those inanimate shards of glass had caused.
It would surely delay the gratification of his hunt, but that sound had attracted his attention and that was all the reason (if any) the beast needed to engage. Besides, the puny girl could not possibly run away, could she?
After tossing aside his own sword and grabbing a large slab of concrete, the shadowy figure began rotating this makeshift projectile he had found. The raw velocity and weight of that rotation were surely powerful enough to completely annihilate anything that stood in it's path, and after charged it up enough, that's exactly what went down. With a fighting display of power, the chunk of wreckage was hurled throw the air as if it had been shot from a cannon. It rendered the shattered window, the wall it was on, and almost the entirety of the block of houses behind it to flying rubble.
The thing rejoiced in his revenge.

Whatever was going on around Naho was meaningless at this point. She was not accepting the fact of dying in the desolated place she was in but she was also unable to accept the reality that her vague trick worked on the monster. Her eyes almost closed could barely grasp the situation, the force and wind blown on her direction from the building that was now being destroyed by the monstrous servant didn't trigger any more fear or despair in her, in fact, she smiled.
Naho could still move around but doing so would be as risky as staying in the place she was hiding. Either trying to run away or not doing anything at all was a dead end, she smiled again with small traces of blood that found their way out of her lips. She then looked down to her shirt and legs, just to watch the red of her blood tainting her clothes, she didn't really care at this point, even making contact with Chaldea was useless. Is this the way things would end for her? Quite sad if she ever thought about it.
“I might as well just try one last time...” she spoke to herself in her thoughts while closing her eyes.
Just focusing some prana and using the last bits of her will, she managed to force-open the ray shift once again, this time on herself and out of the horrid situation she was in. By the time she was being ray-shifted out, she had already lost her consciousness. Given slightly more minutes in that place she would surely have died by either the monster that chased after her or the deep wounds that would have finished her with an intern hemorrhage.
The mission was now over and completed, but a high cost came with it as it almost took Naho's live with it. As she roughly arrived out of the portal in the association, her unconscious and injured body was lying on the cold floor just waiting for her heart to stop beating any longer. The nightmare that haunted her was over and so she was ready to "leave" as well.
“I did my best.......”
