Well, in the end it was nothing else but clean up, so there was no real need to be subtle about it and they could lessen the damage on the houses by drawing out the ghouls with noise. Sure, they could not be certain all would shamble out toward them, but at least it would make it easier to deal with them inside of houses without leveling them. As for the contest, usually he would rather not be part of such a thing, but right now he wanted to try out so many things, getting into a house second would be hindering if not against what he wanted to. Looking down from his elevated position, he grinned and nodded down at Naho, showing his agreement over their mutual goals. He also had to pause and grin for a moment when he saw percival laying on the ground.
His fight had been quite something too from the sound of it and Naho taking the dead ghoul of his back was a picture he would have liked to take with a camera. Another highly useful wonder of technology. Digging his feet into the rest of the roof, there was a weird sound as he began to run. Crunching and tiles being splattered everywhere as he sped off faster than he thought he could be, bringing all of his speed to bare. Closing in on the next house, he began to slide, turned and roundhouse kicked the door, making it fly into the house just like Percival. Looking around, Muramasa saw that there were more than just four ghouls in here. Some others approaching the house as well. Creating two swords, one in each hand, the swords suddenly became more menacing, as if they had upgraded. A serenity of madness radiating from them now as well as the feeling as if they should not be touched lest you wanted to murder someone.
Grinning, he rammed a sword into the nearest ghoul and pushed it back before grabbing another by the head and throwing it into the group approaching the house, a sword lodged in it´s chest as well. Feeling a hand grabbing at his sleeve and another closing around his ankle, another sword appeared in his hand, upgraded and upgraded again. Now a manifestation of a curse, a sword that was synonym with a curse and could cut anything. This sword was worse than menacing or insane, it was something evil and beyond human understanding refoged a million of times with more and more bloodlust, need for battle and madness until it was debatable if there was even one ounce of the original sword left under the layers of death and blood. Spinning, he decapitated the ghoul grabbing his sleeve, before stepping on the others head and pressing down until he heard a splatter. Then commanding his two minions in a loud voice. "Heed me swordbearers, kill your brethren until you run out of your unholy life." Muramasa was surprised as he heard slashing and saw that both had pulled out the swords and were now wildly swinging it at their own kind, slicing them apart with wild abandon. At that point, he wondered if Naho would be alright, since she was basically on her own, a little flaw in her strategy, but since she had made the plan, she should at least have some way to defend herself... right?

Even if it was dead, the ghoul wasn't exactly something the average person would want to get close to. For this reason Percival was impressed with Naho's character, someone who saw a foul beast and whose first instinct was to kick it. Suicidal, some might say, but it was a trait that he shared to some degree, and certainly saw value in. He'd just have to be around to make sure that she didn't end up getting herself into a situation only a real Heroic Spirit should handle. And her suggestion of a race to each house was definitely something he could get behind.
"A contest huh? I like it, I'm in!"
He allowed Muramasa to go on ahead. He didn't know if he could have outran him and gotten to the next house first, but seeing as he'd run off first without warning it could be said he'd gotten an unfair lead. So instead he hung back with Naho, going at her pace. Arriving at the next target he looked up at the roof, then to her with a smile.
"Wanna come with?" he asked, extending a hand. "I mean it can't be very fun to hang around on the sidelines the whole time, getting to see the action up close is much better. And don't worry, I'd keep you safe." He awaited her answer, then made his leap to the roof, taking Naho with him if she so desired. Apparently it was in a bad state of repair, as his landing on it caused a weak portion to give way and depositing him directly onto the second floor, where a new mob of ghouls were waiting to be taken out.

As a party leader and being in charge of such capable heroes, Naho couldn't feel any more happy than she was at the moment. Her contest proposal was taken very seriously as she saw Saber taking the lead, in the other hand Rider seemed to be more of the laid back character in this situation even after he accepted the idea. Out of the blue Percival took her in her arms and leaped onto a house looking for enemies, this was the first time Naho was being carried by a guy and even if the moment lasted only a few seconds for her it was like hours... A moment she wouldn't forget.
Just what does he think he's doing?...asking me if I want to go with him but taking me anyways?!... She thought while traveling in his arms What's with this feeling anyways?! Gross! It's impossible I feel this way for anyone... Must be the adrenaline! Yeah that... Her face a bit flustered until they arrived on top of the next house, its roof weak enough for their weight to break it as they both landed in the 2nd floor of the house.
“Be careful Rider!” She said as she realized they were slightly surrounded, this time by 5 ghouls that were yet to recover by their dramatic entrance. “I'll take the one that's still on the floor behind us and keep it busy while you handle the other ones! Let's do this Rider!”... Maybe not the best suited task for a master to go hand in hand against a Ghoul but Naho was not a weakling and even if she didn't have the strength to kill it, she'd have the determination to delay it enough for Rider to kill the others and aid her afterwards.

Muramasa was mildly annoyed, he had thought he would be able to test his speed against that of a servant, but was deprived of it. Sure, he enjoyed the bloodshed of his little berserkers around him, or rather his paladins, or maybe test subjects? At least they were something better than what they had been before, maybe ever before, their beings enhanced by the weapons and the weapons having use. Just as it should be, but none the less, it felt empty with the excitement of the contest having been ripped from him. Walking out of the house, feeling a tremor and seeing the house emptying itself from dust through the windows. Slowly settling as Muramasa did a backflip onto the roof and then saw the hole in the roof and his master through it, fighting with some ghoul.
Descending upon it, he kicked it´s head and send it straight through the wall before he picked up Naho as well before the dust could settle and had jumped back out, grinning down at Naho, mischievousness and a bit of annoyance, maybe even anger mixed into the redness of his irises. Landing on the roof again, he looked down at Percival and uttered a challenge, literally looking down on Rider. "Let´s make it a bit more interesting, I challenge you to the same as before, once we reach a house, the first one clears the first floor and the other the one above. But, I also challenge you to take our master from me again, if only to make it up to me that you seem not to take me seriously, knight. Really, did you act like this in life too? What an unsightly and unsirly thing to do to not take a challenge seriously. As a prize for the one holding our master the longest... Hmm... I think the master herself should pay the price, with her body. I am looking forward to it." A mischievously and somewhat lustful look went over his expression, impossible to say if he was just acting or if he was serious. But how would they even know, they barely knew him beyond his stories and those were usually not too good, neither his intentions nor his personality. As if to give his last words to the knight some more weight, his hand below her slowly snaked around her.
He looked at Naho with his most charming smile, before suddenly kicking off with his full speed coming to bear. Holding his master a bit tighter still with one hand wrapped around her, not really caring much where it might or might not touch as long as she was securely packed there even at his speed. While his other created a sword and turned it into his master piece, an evil aura being exuded. A sword that was equal to a divine or devilish curse, the one sword he was the proudest of. "Hold tight." Muramasa said through the howling wind brushing by them from his full running speed. This time he did not even bother with kicking in the door of the next house and just slashed at it, the pieces being turned inward from the speed of his swing and splattering in splinters all over the hall and in the three ghouls waiting in the door.
One was fully shredded and torn apart, the next one kicked to brake and flying against a wall just to fly through it as well and showing the former living room with two more ghouls. Swinging his sword down, still up from destroying the door, he parted the last ghoul in the corridor in two. "I hope you don´t mind too much Naho, but I am quite too peeved to not take drastic measures. And do not worry, you are completely safe... Or should be." Another wink mixed with a teasing smirk later, he stepped into the living room, waiting for Rider to get to work up in the second floor. He felt like showing this guy up a little, just like he had done to Masamune, although some weird people said that a sword should not be like Muramasas and instead would choose his rivals. In the end those voices had stopped since Muramasa´s swords cut all, even necks.
Time to play catch.

Ghouls fell one by one in front of Percival, who if he was being completely honest was enjoying having an audience to play hero for. Naho's own enthusiasm for all this would be infectious if his own enthusiasm was not already filled to the brim. As he slashed through the fifth and final ghoul, Percival turned to ensure that she didn't need any additional help.
He did not expect to find Saber, his own ally, holding Naho and standing above him looking for all the world like a villain kidnapping a princess. His words only completed that image, and Percival found himself wondering if he truly would follow through with his threats. No, even if it was only a joke, a man simply didn't put a lady into such a position, turning her into nothing but a prize to be claimed. Percival's blood began to simmer and his until this point ever present smile began to fade as Muramasa flew off towards another house.
"Hey! Get back here!" he shouted after him. Leaping from the building after them he quickly darted for the second floor. The contest was currently out of his thoughts, but if he was going to confront Saber he'd need to have any potential distractions dealt with. Pushing off the ground with one foot, Percival was sent spinning into a window like a corkscrew. He drilled his way through one ghoul, kicked another out of the window, and in a few quick slashes had the rest in pieces on the floor. Then it was a quick dash down to the first floor, to confront his opponent.
"Dude, this isn't funny," Percival said, his sword raised and ready to act if words didn't do any good. "You got a beef with me, settle it with me. Bringing a lady into the middle of this is low, something only cowards do."

The mission was going on as expected. The truth is Chaldea had long understood that the "unique" character of heroic spirits often made developments like this inevitable. The crew monitoring the mission would even ignore the miss-behaving saber, only keeping a look out for other trac-... What?! Shaking. The ground began shaking. It surely wasn't strong enough to be a true earthquake, and it was lasting longer than any mere earthquake should. On the distance, houses began collapsing one by one. A massive cloud of debris and dust form and approached closer, and closer to the servants current position. There was no time! "Attention Agents! There's some sort of... unknown entity moving in your direction, fast!" The sounds of crushed concrete were now impossible close and a thick presence drowned the Agents... whatever it was, it was just around the corner! "Get out of there!"

Just being dragged around and without her consent, even more to be set up as a prize? What kind of wicked plan had Muramasa planned? On the other hand Naho's face was flustered and could barely hold her anger and embarrassment, yet her only option was to hold tight until both of them arrived into the last house. As they arrived, Muramasa just slashed the door open and stepped in, carefully leaving her behind as he cleared the first roof; Percival was not behind either as the sound of his entrance and his sword on the second floor was very clear. She leaned against a wall near the entrance of the house as Muramasa waited in the living room for Percival, such a dispute between guys was pointless for Naho to step in anyways.
The calmness didn't last long, the area they were in was too quiet and a sensation of something powerful could be felt in the air. The ground was trembling but it didn't look like an earthquake, the sound of houses being destroyed one after another activated Naho's senses as she could feel this couldn't be some normal ghoul's doing, in fact, they already had wiped them out.
“Just what in the world is---” But right before she could finish, a message from Chaldea arrived; The tremble also stopped and she could only faintly hear the message. There was something or someone interfering with the communication.
"Attention ______! _____'_ ____ sort of... _______ entity ______ in your direction, fast!"
Although cut, she could imagine what the message was about and already being aware of that gave her enough reasons to be prepared.
"___ out __ ___re!"
Not quite the smartest child but not dumb either, the last message was very clear in its own way. She already tried to ray-shift everyone out by contacting Chaldea but the communications were dead, even her link with her servants was dead as well. She could watch Saber and Rider from her position but the link between them seemed as if it was cut for some reason. Whatever was outside was doing this and the situation would only get worse if they stayed longer.
There was a last chance for them to get out of this one and she never thought she'd do something like this in her first mission.
“I guess there's no other choice!” And by focusing her prana, she forced the ray-shift open on her and her team. A smile filled her face as a beam of light filled both Rider and Saber but that smile quickly faded off as there was nothing around her.
”W-what?..B-but I did it...They're about to get ray-shifted out from the past back to Chaldea but why isn't it working with me?!...” And for her bad luck, her worst fear at that moment came true, the same thing that cut off communications, her link with both servants and the usual way where you would ray-shift out was now hacking in her last resource of escape. ”No way...”
In her last moments, Naho had already accepted her fate. She's not the type of girl that would run away from danger and although she was scared, there was no turning back from this one. The ray-shift already on-going on Saber and Rider would give them a few moments to say something at her before vanishing away, leaving her there at her own luck. She stepped by the door and turned her back at both servants, trying her best not to cry as she spoke her last words towards them.
“You know... I wish things didn't end up like this... and I wish I would have had more time to spend with both of you...” Her head now looking down on the floor as she mumbled to herself... “Mom... Dad... I guess your little girl was really not ready yet to take on this challenge... But wherever you are... Please don't forget that I fought till the end with my last breath as I say this words...” Now looking up to the ceiling and smiling, her last wish towards Percival and saber would be clearer now “Muramasa... Percival... Although both of you are dead already... You two are great heroes... Please, Don't die and help the other agents fulfill their missions to save the world... I... I failed you both already so don't let anyone else do the same alright?... See you later ~” And with her last words to them, in a way of trying to look cool she took up a chilling pose with her hands behind her head, still not willing to look at both of them in the face and as a way to remember them in a way she could be happy for.

Hearing rider land on the second floor, Muramasa grinned, at least he had taken his bait. But there was no time for silly and fun banter, no, fate would play him other cards once again. There it was again, that weird feeling he had had before. As if something was going on, call it his way of surviving a long time while being hunted down by a whole country, but he felt it again. Even more as the tremble started, ignoring percival and instead looking at Naho who had gotten herself out of his arms.
And then there was the message blaring out of nowhere telling them to basically run. Every fiber of his being resisting the message, an unknown entity was coming toward them, apparently powerful enough to tear down buildings easily in it´s wake. Muramasa had not felt such interest since he had first arrived in this age, in this body. But there was something else. The bond between the three of them was cut all at once and he felt his mana draining as he thought so, the little bit of the ghouls with his swords sustaining him still, but he felt the pull. The pull of nothingness once again and he would rather not taste it. Not with being prepared for it. Hearing Naho call out for ray shift, her panicked face when nothing happened. Muramasa sighed. Stretching out his hand, he created blades, slowly, one after the other and changed them again, making them even sharper and more dangerous. Holding one of them and his satsubatsu noroi, his curse in the form of a sword in his hand. If he had to die, he would at least try to stay alive as long as possible.
But suddenly the air was filled with a ray shift around him. Maybe it had worked after all? No, it was just Naho forcing it open. Muramasa sighed again and saw that none was opening for Naho, giving them at most a few moments until they would be gone and Naho trapped here. What a foolish thing. And then she began to speak, emotional words filled with conviction and certainty of death. "I won´t forget you, as I never do, but if you really want to fight and maybe stand a chance... I respect you enough to give you this at least, so try your best. Don´t fear, death is not what it is made out to be anyway. I was honored to have had you as a master."
And with that, he threw his two swords toward her, leaving it up to her if she wanted to pick them up. Lose herself for the first time and... who knows, maybe even really fight for her life with at least a chance. Although he had done that, for him Naho was already gone, a memory like all the others. Luck had not chosen her and apparently she had all but given up totally or become a sobbing mess. For a second he had thought about laughing at her counting him as a huge hero, but it would only lead to a messy situation becoming messier and so he nodded his farewell toward her before he was gone from that timeline. Who knew, maybe they would find a ghoul wielding a weapon where she had died later on...

Having been completely ready to come to blows with Saber over his behaviour, one might expect the agitated Percival to be upset over the interruption. That one obviously would have no true understanding of the character of this Servant however, as upon hearing the shaking of the unknown but presumably massive force that was steadily approaching, his heart leaped with excitement. This was the sort of thing he'd become a knight to see, giant monsters that only a real hero could deal with.
And then the order for retreat came. That put Percival off a bit, having gotten his hopes up at having an epic battle with a monstrous foe, but he supposed that people smarter than him were calling the shots for a reason, even if he couldn't see it at times. So he was only mildly perturbed at the initiation of the ray shift.
That only lasted until he noticed that Naho, their provisional Master whom they were tasked with protecting, wasn't shifting alongside them.
"Hey, what's going on?!" he asked, a tinge of panic in his voice. Even if he had no idea how all this time travel stuff worked, he could understand well enough that something had gone wrong if Naho was being left behind. The shock of being in this situation left him frozen, rooted to the spot. The shock, and the familiarity of it.
"She died, Brother. You leaving to follow in our father's footsteps... it was simply too much for Mother's heart to bear."
"No..." Percival whispered, realization dawning and unable to accept that he was being thrust into the same situation again.
"I'm sorry for your loss, Sir Knight. That our mistress' healing must come with the her loss saddens all of us."
He broke into a run, utilizing all the speed granted to him as a Rider class Servant. Maybe if he could reach her...
"Haven't you heard? That kingdom on the island... Camelot I think? It fell. Civil war I hear."
He could make it. He would make it. He could feel the pull, could see his the transparency of his own hand as he reached for her, but he was just inches away, he would reach her! He wouldn't fail again!
"NA-"
And then he was gone. Percival had vanished from that time and place, as easily as a fog blown away by the wind.

Those short moments seemed to have stretched just long enough for the two guardians to vanish With a large shake, the tremors halted for a split-second right before an unbelievable catastrophe. The running creature lunged itself against them, pouring the momentum gathered from the motion into the frail house. It was a frighteningly unnatural sight, with the figure crashing into the building itself, annihilating it like a boulder being thrown at a castle of cards. An explosion into dust and debris followed, flattening the very landscape around them. Everything that had been there was now just a crater in the ground ...And in the middle of it all, a grinning monster observed the results of his mayhem. Like a moving pile of iron, his sheer size placed his appearance closer to that of an animal than anything remotely human. His body was shrouded in a sickly purple aura, that flowed and danced upwards like live flames. It darkened his features, making it hard to take a good look at who it was that had brought forth such damage, but his eyes, those could be seen just fine; two glowing beads staring into the wreckage.
