| [PTabbedContent=Ashwatthama ][PTab=Status]Parameters STR | | B(A) | END | | B(A) | AGI | | B(A) | MNA | | B(A) | LCK | | B(A) | NP | | EX |
Personal Skills Skill 01 | Clairvoyance: C+ | The eyes of an Archer, Ashwatthama is capable of keeping track of fast-moving object within a large range, upwards of four kilometers, with ease.
|
Skill 02 | Curse of Krishna: A- | A manifestation of the curse laid upon Ashwatthama by Sri Krishna after the Kurukshetra War and his attempt to end the lineage of the Pandavas. This curse gives him a natural resistance to death, acting as a form of battle continuation that "does not allow him to die", granting a resistance towards concepts meant to cause the instant death of the target: However, this is a punishment, not a boon. The pain taken from injuries is massively increased, and without healing magics are extremely slow to heal. Additionally he is deprived of any and all home ground boosts and cannot have his stats artificially raised or lowered by others. This curse intensifies if his Noble Phantasm Gem of Warding is ever removed. Additionally, the curse makes him look sickly and pale, which taken up to 11 is why he's white as fuck. |
Skill 03 | Guru's Wisdom: A | Ashwatthama is the son of Dronacharya himself, the foremost among all mortal Guru's and master of arts, warfare, and dharma. A Guru in his own right after his severe penance, Ashwatthama gains several skills relating to military and learned knowledge such as Eye of the Mind[True], Military Tactics, Eye for the Arts, and etc at roughly B~A ranks, and can teach these skills to others if needed. |
Skill 04 | Spark of Rudra: A | A skill that uniquely interacts with Ashwatthama's form of Mad Enhancement. As Ashwatthama becomes enraged, he begins to mirror more and more of Shiva, whose divine spark lies within Ashwatthama's form. What this means for Ashwatthama is that as he becomes enraged, his battle ability, skill, and strength at arms increase rather than decrease, as his "loss of sanity" is actually just Rudra [Shiva] taking over his essence; And Shiva is a far greater warrior than Ashwatthama. |
Skill 05 | Divinity: B- | Somewhat tied to his Mad Enhancement, this ability is a reflection of his particular form of Mad Enhancement. As Ashwatthama becomes closer and closer to the God Shiva as his anger increases, so too does he gain a measure of divinity equal to his Mad Enhancement at all times. If the rank of his Mad Enhancement changes, so does his rank of Divinity to match. |
Class Skills Skill 01 | Magic Resistance: C | Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against Magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals. |
Skill 02 | Independent Action: B | Capable of remaining in this world for two days without an established contract. Also capable of living on for a short period of time after suffering extensive damage on his spiritual core. |
Skill 03 | Mad Enhancement: B | Remarked as a warrior without equal when enraged due to his becoming a "second Shiva", Ashwatthama suffers from Remarkable Mad Enhancement in the Berserker class, increasing all of his stats by a letter rank at the cost of much of his sanity. Fortunately, due to his multi-classing, Ashwatthama is able "switch off" this rage with some effort, losing the benefits of the skill but allowing him to not be a destructive rage-monster at all times. |
Noble Phantasm
Gem of Warding | Rank: C+ | Type: Support | A Gem within Ashwatthama's forehead that he was born with. This Gemstone granted Ashwatthama an immunity to harm from Spirits, Animals, Beasts and life forms considered "less" than human. As a Servant, the Gem is passively active as a Noble Phantasm, increasing his resistance to harm from Spirits [Not of the Heroic Spirit variety], Poison, Beasts, Demons and Monster. Those of a level matching, comparable or greater than a Heroic Spirit are only diminished, while those below a Heroic Spirit can be nullified completely. Also grants him the ability to speak with beasts, animals and spirits as if he had an associated Communication skill of B or higher. |
Brahmastra | Rank: A | Type: Anti-Army | The "Ultimate Weapon" of Indian Mythology, compared to a modern day nuclear warhead. Utilized by calling upon the name of the god Brahma, it will pursue the enemy and surely strike with a wide effective range. The Brahmastra is a unique Noble Phantasm in that it is more of a technique than a physical object, as it can be invoked upon anything from a blade of grass, to an arrow, to a lance, to almost any physical object. A devastating weapon of near perfect accuracy, such that it was often held as the pinnacle of Astras during ancient times. This is not strictly speaking true, as there are many Astra superior to or enhancing upon the Brahmastra, but it's prestige remains nonetheless, and it is a Noble Phantasm of the utmost quality, regardless of the form it takes. |
Narayanastra | Rank: A++ | Type: Anti-Army | The most effective and destructive Astra in Ashwatthama's arsenal, used to great effect during the Kurukshetra War after the death of his father, Dronacharya. Granted by Vishnu in his most powerful form Narayana, where he encompasses the entire universe as the supreme being. The weapon reflects it's nature as an "unmatchable weapon", an attack reflecting the wrath of the universe on foes.
After the Narayanastra is launched, a torrent of Astras will rain down on the foe. Each of these Astras is comparable to a C or B rank Noble Phantasm, and their intensity and power only increases as the attack continues. The power of the attack continues to increase upwards towards infinity as it is blocked or dodged, until the foe is destroyed; Or until they "submit" themselves to the weapon in it's entirety. By showing respect and submission, foes avoid the weapon entirely. Thus, those who know the secret of the Narayanastra are capable of avoiding it's effects entirely, simply leaving themselves at it's mercy and causing the attack to turn away from them and cease completely. It is an attack that can only be ultimately avoided by doing nothing at all, and submitting to the coming onslaught.
Additionally, the weapon can only be used on any given enemy once. It will assault every target designated as an "enemy" by the user at once, but targeting any enemy more than once will cause the weapon to bounce back and attack Ashwatthama himself, and all those he considers allies. And unfortunately, they cannot escape the weapon in the same manner that those targeted by it can. |
Vibhuashwathama | Rank: EX | Type: Anti-Unit[Self] | The Representation of Ashwatthama's status as an incarnation of Shiva, a vessel for his divine wrath. A living avatar of Shiva, this noble phantasm is one uniquely available to him in the Berserker Class, and is the most powerful ability given unto Ashwatthama, greater than all his divine astras and powerful weaponry.
When the Noble Phantasm is activated, Ashwatthama lights aflame, reminiscent of the sacrificial pyre he stepped into in life in order to invoke Shiva, during the event this Noble Phantasm is drawn from. A destined Chiranjivi, the flame did not burn Ashwatthama, but as a sign of his penance drew down the divine lord Shiva himself, who gave Ashwatthama his magical weapons and whose spirit flooded into Ashwatthama's body, turning him into the living vessel of Shiva.
After the flame subsides, Ashwatthama is overtaken by the Divine Spirit, becoming an incarnation of the Destroyer. His Divinity and Mad Enhancement are both elevated to A+ Rank, boosting his stats appropriately and giving him the associated strengths and weaknesses of such Divinity.
Additionally, for as long as this Noble Phantasm is active, Ashwatthama gains access to the divine sword Shiva gave unto him, as well as all the armaments he normally possessed due to his status as an Archer-class Servant. He is also capable of manifesting the sacred weapons of Shiva, such as the Trishula, the Parashu, or the Vijiya, each powerful divine weapons in their own right. However, he summons "copies" of these weapons, in a manner similar to the tracing of Unlimited Blade Works, and so they do not possess their true abilities but are manifestations of "Destruction." The sword, his weapons, and even Ashwatthama himself become filled with the concept of "Destruction" allowing them to actualize the eventual destruction of any entity they touch, bringing about their inevitable destruction. This is mitigated somewhat against other highly advanced weapons and armor of a superior enough rank and mystery, but repeated blows will break even these objects.
His ultimate weapon as a facet of Shiva is the insurmountable Pashupastra, a conceptual attack that can be fired from the bow, from the eyes, the words, or even in some cases by the mind itself. The Pashupastra is a manifestation of destruction itself, a concentrated conceptual effect that "Destroys" a target utterly, leaving no trace of it's existence.
Normally, this Noble Phantasm would drain such an intense amount of mana that any Master would be killed if it were kept active for any longer than a few minutes. Chaldea manages to circumvent this due to supply mana for the summoning of each Servant, and his Independent Action as an Archer help mitigate this immensely, but even so it cannot be maintained indefinitely, due to limitations of Ashwatthama's Spiritual Core. This Noble Phantasm cannot be used with frequency, at maximum once every year as a complete cycle of the earth is required to restore the proper circumstances for it's activation. However, this is in reference to the actual time of the earth itself, so feasibly speaking it could be preformed twice in succession if in different areas of time. [Essentially means it can only be used once per Setting/Zone.] |

Comrade of Champions In his youth, Ashwatthama did not have much. Though his father, Dronacharya, managed to ensure that Ashwatthama was born with the divine spark of Shiva, they were a poor family, with very little to their name. That is, until Dronacharya managed to gain a position as instructor to the Kuru Princes, children of royal birth and incredible destinies.
Ashwatthama spent much of his youth with these other princes, naturally being drawn towards the Pandavas and befriending them, as son of their Guru and fellow student. He went with them on several adventures, including gaining revenge against Dronacharya's old friend, Drupada. The Kurukshetra War When time came for the ultimate clash between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, Ashwatthama found himself across the field from his old friends and companions, choosing to serve his country with his father. A regretful decision, as they were fated to lose. Throughout the war, Ashwatthama constantly attempted to convince Duryodhana, leader of the Kauravas, to make peace with the Pandavas, but to no avail.
However, Ashwatthama soon festered a hatred for his former friends, as the Pandavas used Dronacharya's love for Ashwatthama to fool him into laying down his arms, and being beheaded while he was unarmed. This act enraged Ashwatthama, whom decimated the Pandava army with the Narayanastra in response, infuriated with his former comrades.
At the end of the war, as the Kaurava army was down to only three warriors and the Pandava army was celebrating their victory, Ashwatthama reached his breaking point. Angered and saddened at the death of his father and the underhanded tactics of the Pandavas, Ashwatthama resolved to wipe out their army alone. Praying to Shiva, Ashwatthama was filled with the God's spirit, becoming Rudra incarnate.
Ashwatthama fell upon the camp at night, as the soldiers slept or rejoiced over their victory. Thousands were slaughtered in his wake, as he killed the entire army of the Pandavas down to the last man, leaving not a single soldier alive in his wake. The Pandavas were only spared due to not being present at the time; But their children were not so fortunate. An End to Suffering After his massacre of the Pandava troops, Ashwatthama had been cornered by the Pandavas and cursed by Sri Krishna, to wander for three thousand years, alone and in agony. So he had alot of time to contemplate life, dharma, and everything really, between the blood curdling pain he was in.
Finally, his three thousand years of penance ended and he was freed of Krishna's curse. By which time, his purpose had become clear to him, as a Chiranjivi, immortal sage to return at the end of days to aid in the end of Kali Yuga. However, he could not interfere any longer with the world of men, and so made a contract with the world, to ascend to the Throne as a spirit until the end of days, upon which he would be allowed to return.
And well, then the apocalypse happened. Instrument of the Gods Ashwatthama is a living incarnation of Shiva-- Which differs somewhat from the western definition of incarnation. While he exists as a human embodiment of the God Shiva, that does not mean he is the same entity as Shiva, nor does it mean that Shiva does not continue to exist while he does. Instead, it is more apt to call incarnations a living instrument of the God's Will-- Just as Rama, Pashurama or Krishna are both Vishnu and not Vishnu, Ashwatthama is both Shiva and not Shiva. He is the singular, human person known as Ashwatthama, but is also the living embodiment of Shiva himself.
In layman's terms, Ashwatthama is Shiva's meat puppet whenever it suits the God. While Ashwatthama is somewhat able to shape the will of his divine lord, the ego of Ashwatthama the Archer is always below that of the God Shiva. While he may invoke aspects of the God and speak his will, he is ultimately just a vessel for his divine will.
Of course, that's a rather troubling realization, especially for someone who had a lot of time to dwell on it, so Ashwatthama tends to try to avoid thinking about it. [/PTab][/PTabbedContent={width:430px;tab-alignment=center;}] |
