[PTab=Profile] Character Details 1 Height / Weight : 152 cm/ 48 kg Source : Historical Japan Home Region : Japan. Alignment : Lawful Neutral. Gender : Female Kunoichi Weaponry A true kunoichi is always armed and they're always prepared for the worst case scenario. When summoned by Chaldea, the first thing Chiyome bugged the organization with was to create a personal stock of weapons for her personal use. Although all of them physical weapons, she still gives them a proper use as assassinating tools. "If it can stab, it can kill ~" 2 lives/2 faces Chiyome's kunoichi and kunoichi's headmaster reputation was not always the titles that made a legend out of her. When she was younger and no more than an apprentice of the Kōga-ryū she was known for being a good noblewoman and the most proficient choice for a wife around the ladies of her age. Her early life was tough and she did not only have to keep up with intense training but also learn everything a good bride needed to know in order to bring honor and prosperity to her family. After marrying Takeda shingen, the current daimyo in her era she not only left her family behind but also gained more freedom for her actions. Her husband's son, very aware of her exploits and her lineage also influenced on what we know now as the biggest kunoichi-red created in japan, not only allowing Chiyome to work on what she knew best at will but also to give the Takeda the best source of information they needed from their enemies at time. "Men are like children and toys, you can play with them, deceive them and break them any time you want...~" Master of Kōga-ryū/Kōga clan's lineage The Kōga clan, a most famous clan of 53 ninja families that stood up against the Ashikaga clan and made them retreat in numerous situations. Once mercenaries that would fight each other if paid for it were later on recognized as skilled ninja and respected as a dangerous clan. Every family have their own ninja schools and their own ways but the Mochizuki family had decided to continue with the Kōga tradition without modifying much of their ways. The Mochizuki clan have a renown on training skilled ninja focused in the arts of the Kōga-ryū, the oldest an ancient way for ninjutsu practitioners and the most effective one among all the families. Chiyome, although marrying Takeda and leaving her lands was able to carry on the Kōga-ryū lineage with her and pass it on not only through her family but to all the kunoichi she trained in life. The path of sacrifices Chiyome's life as the only heir for her family and born as a female was a heavy burden to carry on. She'd constantly remind herself that once married to a daimyō or a general of another clan she would have to forget her traditions and lineage of her family in order to become a loyal wife. Such was the fate of women back then. Chiyome while seeming to be always calm had always found a way to hide her true emotions. After being trained as a ninja an inheriting the secrets and traditions of her family, she also learned that sacrifices must be made in order to bring honor to her family. Oddly for her and sometimes causing conflicts in her head, her family's honor was always first, even on top of her kunoichi path but this wouldn't last for long. After marrying the Takeda's daimyō, she was not only allowed to continue on with her traditions but to also train others into her path. This proposal was more than a blessing to her and also allowing her to swear a true oath of loyalty to the clan she was now part of. After these chains of events Chiyome's personality came to be described as cold and fearsome for others while in reality she was now free to do what she loved to do in complete harmony, be it teaching others in the Kunoichi way or acting as Takeda's personal assasssin without remorse. Expert of Many Specializations: A The most distinguished and signature techniques of Chiyome from the 19 she has mastered are listed here. -Ninjutsu(忍術): Sometimes used interchangeably with the modern term ninpō(忍法) is the strategy and tactics of unconventional warfare, guerrilla warfare and espionage purportedly practiced by the Shinobi and Kunoichi (commonly known outside of Japan as ninja and female ninja). Chiyome in life was not only an expert assassin but also she was a master of sabotage and espionage. Her methods for infiltration and sabotage of the armies were legendary among the feudal clans in her era and it was commonly said that she was a descendant of the Kōga ninja (The best of the best ninja clan along with the Hattori clan). -Shurikenjutsu(手裏剣術): Is a general term describing the traditional Japanese martial arts of throwing shuriken. Shurikenjutsu was also usually taught as a supplemental art to those more commonly practiced by the samurai and armies, making it a main art practiced for Shinobi and Kunoichi. Although she's very skilled in the art of Shurikenjutsu, Chiyome prefers the close combat practice as she's more accurate with it than with throwing weapons. Her efficiency in this skill allows her to throw not only shurikens but short weapons at the speed of a bolt shot by a crossbow. -Intonjutsu (隠遁術, Kanji for "disappearing technique"): Is the ninja art of "disappearing" and has many walking and stealth techniques. It also comprises wilderness survival, field craft, and Shinobi-aruki (silent movement steps and leaps). Because Chiyome is a master Kunoichi and the head of her own red of female ninja, she has mastered this skill to a point of becoming audible invisible to everyone around her. Her silent step and how she can become one with the environment around her are her signature techniques in this skill. -Taijutsu (体術, literally "body technique" or "body skill"): Is a Japanese blanket term for any combat skill, technique or system of martial art using body movements that are described as an empty-hand combat skill or system. The Kōga family has a reputation of expert Taijutsu practitioners, making their clan members feared at unarmed combat. For an Assassin like Chiyome, killing others with sharp weapons is easier but when it comes to unarmed combat she's deadlier. She has knowledge in all counter-attack techniques involving Taijutsu and can use them offensively or defensively. -shukuchijutsu (縮地術): In modern Japanese martial arts, shukuchi refers to a sudden movement into an enemy's maai (space) or blind spot to attack. Chiyome has developed her own version of Shukuchi (Kunoichi version) that she taught herself to her disciples. By fusing the intonjutsu with the shukuchi she had created a "shadow step" technique that allows her to leap instantly from target to target or place to place unnoticed, giving her the best positioning for an open attack without being detected. -Shinobi-Iri (忍び入り): Meaning "to sneak into" is a technique for silent movement and climbing for covert infiltration. Not only an assassin, Chiyome was a master in Intel gathering and infiltration, allowing her to sneak in past the enemy lines and out of them at ease. -Kusarigamajutsu (鎖鎌術:くさりがまじゅつ/Sickle & Chain): Is a traditional Japanese martial arts technique that combines the Kama (small sickle) with the Kusari Fundo (weighted chain). -Bōjutsu (棒術, staff technique): Is a the japanese martial art involving skills and technique using a long staff. -Gokui atemi sakkatsuho zukai (Hidden Assaults): A Secret killing strikes art that the Kōga family created as a counterpart of the Iga family. It involves techniques that focuses on armed and unarmed arts for the improvement of their efficiency. -Kyushojutsu (急所, vital spots): Is a Japanese art branched from the taijutsu. It refers to an area on the human body that may produce significant pain or other effects when manipulated in a specific manner. Chiyome not only mastered Taijutsu but also learned Kyushojutsu in order to disable and control her opponents when outnumbered and disarmed or in disadvantage. Although not an assassination skill, she makes the best use of it to finish off her enemies with Taijutsu. -Iaijutsu (居合術, quick-draw sword technique): Is a combative sword-drawing art but not necessarily an aggressive art because iaijutsu is also a counterattack-oriented art. Iaijutsu technique may be used aggressively to wage a premeditated surprise attack against an unsuspecting enemy. |
