Something was actually happening in this boredom factory. The golden king let out a yawn as she stood outside the labs with a small sheet of paper in hand. In favor of "subtlety", she had swapped out her armor and undercloth for a white v-neck shirt and black slacks with a surprisingly nice pair of dress shoes. Granted, she still had her golden necklace and golden earrings and golden wristband on, so how much subtlety had been achieved was up for debate. It didn't really matter though, as ultimately she just did it for comfort and boredom anyway. The primary motive of this mission was to "not result in conflict", so she didn't need armor to begin with. Plus, there was finally something to do that didn't require her to have one of those "proxy Masters".
Even though she was waiting for two of said individuals now, it was less a necessity and more they volunteered to aid her and the facility. She could solve the mystery on her own, but it would likely be more entertaining to watch the humans of this time searching about. Wine was debated on, but ultimately decided against for the moment. If things got boring or stupid later she could break out the wine to endure the torments of Chaldea.
In her hand was a written list provided to her by Doctor Roman of the potential groups involved. The fact it was written was more so she could pass the information along to the other two without making it obvious the doctor was directly involved in their work. Top of the list was the Mages' Association, a collaboration of mages pursuing the future of magecraft and ensuring it survived the ages. Following that was the governments of Russia and America, two of the current world superpowers politically and militarily. Third was a small, unknown organization in the "East" that employed Magi. Fourth was the Sea of Estray, a branch of the Mages' Association that was functionally its own body and reflected such in its constant movement around the world. Lastly, the potential for a Freelancer to simply be selling whatever they find to the highest bidder.
At the very least, each had obvious motives. The level of magecraft being utilized here was something that many could only dream of achieving, even if some of it was unknown to Chaldea itself. Such would easily be relevant to any magus or association of magi and especially to a world government that knew of such things. The persuading power of money was no secret, so that was self-explanatory. Given a particular individual that she had seen roaming around the facility, and the list here, Gilgamesh was already forming her own conclusions about how this would go. Letting it known though would just be boring, so she waited for the others to actually begin doing anything.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Chaldea...
"Soon...It'll be done soon..." a certain individual muttered under their breath, looking over their work with a small smile. All of their work would soon come to fruition, and their goals would be achieved. There was nothing that could stop them now.

Athanasios had a lot of work to do. He was a very busy man, after all. Between work as a proxy Master and preparing for the occasional request for funds or disclosures from other entities, he found little time to engage in hobbies. So, when Chaldea called for him on his day off on an official channel, he was understandably dissatisfied. Still, when he reviewed the facts of the case, he supposed it made sense that he'd be called on.
Someone was trying to stick their grubby mitts where they didn't belong. Someone either stupid or ignorant of the huge array of power that would be levied against them if they were found...and more importantly, of how easy it would be for any spy to be uncovered. Surely they must have figured that magic beyond the bounds of the modern day was present there...even if the intervention of a Caster would be somewhat unnecessary. When you had powers like his, uncovering a spy would be like taking candy from a baby.
The communication requested he meet up with the rest of his group in front of the laboratories, and it didn't take someone as intelligent as him to realize where that would be. A commanding presence standing alone, right in front of the labs. A Heroic Spirit on a level he'd never yet seen. How intriguing. Her thoughts confirmed that she was who he was to meet...and that she was very, very bored.
"We're still waiting for someone else, I take it?" Athanasios says, merely stating the obvious as he waits by the door. This was important, and should be over exceedingly quickly. He wasn't quite sure if he should bother requesting overtime pay yet. He certainly didn't need it, but there still was the principle in the matter.
