Berserker][PTab=Status]Parameters Personal Skills | Berserk: A
| A skill that works like a temporary mad enhancement boost, allowing Beowulf to go into short controlled bursts of mad enhancement, upping his strength and endurance stats by one rank while this skill is activated. It also increases the damage of Grendel Breaker should this skill be active. (Basically active for 3-4 posts and then on cool down for 6-7) |
| Battle Continuation: B
| Though as hell with a never give up attitude, the very style you want in a hero! Beowulf keeps going no matter what all the way up to his death, able to shrug off blows and keep going at 100% like if nothing has happened all the way up until a fatal blow. |
| Instinct: B
| The ability to feel the best way in combat and the best course of action to take, not through training or reason but by an innate six sense. Beowulf was born to be a battle freak and he shows every sign of it! Capable of feeling the best way for him to make battles favorable and in some cases see what might happen before it does. Basically it allows Beowulf to pretty much always feel which path is the best one to take in combat.
Instinct differs from skills like Eye of the mind (true) and (false) in that it doesn't show you all the possible ways you can go in combat, instead it shows a clear path, the optimal path to take. |
Class Skills
| Mad Enhancement: E-
| Beowulf's mad enhancement does nothing for him and takes nothing away from him. He is a Berserker for the simple reason as he is practically the origin of the word...he suffers no demerits and gets no boost from this skill as the true mark of a Berserker is covered in his Berserk skill.
You are more than capable of having a long and intellectual conversation with Beowulf but he also fights in as rough a manner, much like a Berserker, however that is simply cause it's his style of combat.
One could almost say Beowulf is the true Berserker. |
Noble Phantasm
| Hrunting - Hound of the Red Plains
| Rank: B
| Type: Anti-unit
| The Active powers of Beowulf's swords remain unusable as a Berserker, however their passive abilities remain. While he is restricted by the Berserker class Beowulf is not allowed to activate the abilities of his swords as he is instead given Grendel breaker. However, he is capable of using their passive powers, in Hrunting's case that is the power of being a sword one cannot be avoided. The Sword is a blood seeking blade and should it's target be designated the only way to stop the sword is to block it...though even that is a tall task for many heroes.
A demonic blade One cannot avoid as it will seek out the target as long as it is fixed upon in Beowulf's mind, further more the blade also acts as a detector, starting to rumble in the presence of Grendel. |
| Naegling - Gleaming Sword of Echoing destruction
| Rank: B
| Type: Anti-unit
| Naegling's active power is locked while Beowulf is in the Berserker class, however the blade's passive noble phantasm remains active and usable much like Hrunting's.
Naegling, the sword of echoing destruction is said to be one of the finest blade forged on earth, a demonic blade which carries a simple yet deadly power. Each swing of Naegling echoes in the air, sending ripples and vibrations as it swings through the air and when it clashes with something it sends those vibrations right through the opponents. Armor or protection cannot prevent this blade as it simply sends shock-waves through the opponents.
A demonic blade that can't be blocked because of the shock-waves it makes, to cause massive internal damage to Beowulf's opponent. Should one attempt to block the blade the power of naegling will echo through that armor or blade used to block it or even shield if it's held by the target and cause massive internal damage. |
| Grendel Buster - Primal Conflict
| Rank: A++
| Type: Anti-unit
| The True power of Beowulf, his battle prowess encapsulated as a noble phantasm. The power of the mighty Geatish hero who's true might lies within his fists! A battle hardened warrior who relied heavily on his powers in hand to hand combat in order to take down his foes.
It can be considered to ultimate monster buster noble phantasm and without a doubt the Grendel killing skill! It is activated when Beowulf's casts aside his blades and with it the chains that restrain his might to keep him from not breaking his own swords are finally released and Beowulf is capable of going full force against his foe.
It is a sure to hit way combat, a true heroes call to action. When Beowulf moves in for combat with Grendel Buster there is no escape, no skill can save you from it as he moves in and lays waste to his foe with countless strikes that carry such destructive power that just one could take the life of the strongest of monsters/heroes.
The strike combo of Grendel Buster is inescapable, for those who posses skills like Eye of the Mind and Instinct, the path/s that they show to lead them to success show nothing but death as the might of Beowulf bears down upon them.

Character Details 2 Beowulf is the protagonist of "Beowulf", said to be the oldest epic poem of English literature.
The setting of the epic poem amounts to south of modern Sweden to the vicinity of Denmark.
This tale is composed by two parts; part one is the story about Beowulf proceeding to exterminate the giant Grendel together with fifteen of his subordinates, while part two portrays an aged Beowulf unfolding a mortal combat with a dragon, fifty years after.
It has been said that the dragon who fought the aged Beowulf would amass treasures and spit out fire--
It could be said that its existence is like an archetype of the dragons that appear in fantasy stories.
The two swords he normally uses are also existence that can be called magic swords, but the true power of Beowulf does not lay there.
The etymology of Berserker - one of the Servant Classes - is the berserk from Norse mythology, and it has been told that Beowulf's name also has its origins in this berserk.*
However, he - who accomplished the feat of dragon slayer while retaining his reason even after having aged - does not display even a fragment of madness.
That being said, since the Beowulf in this work has been summoned in his golden age, he is a battle-maniac by nature. Seems that, if he were to meet Achilles or Herakles, he would end up entering a mode of "there is no choice but to talk with our fists!"
Character Details 3 Beowulf the legendary Geatish hero of the Epic Poem, a legendary hero from what is now the southern part of Sweden. His epic takes place over the land of Sweden and Denmark and involves him traveling to defeat monsters. Protect kingdoms and in the end dying in glorious battle. The Son of Ecgtheow and the daughter of the Geatish king Hrethel.
Character Details 4 Beowulf grew up and was lauded as one of the strongest men and bravest fighters, as such when rumors of a great monster Grendel terrorizing the kingdom of Hrothgar, Beowulf sailed down to pay off his father’s debt to the Danish king. He made his way to Zealand with 14 warriors. He fought Grendel with his bare hands and killed the mighty monster! Where he was praised after such a feat and compared by the skalds to the hero Sigmund.
The following night after her had slain Grendel, the Mother of the mighty monster appeared and laid waste to many a men, as Beowulf was sleeping in another building than the hall he was unable to stop her. However he charge after her the next day and swam through giant sea serpent infected waters to then fight Grendel’s mother by the beasts corpse, finally slaying her with the help of an enchanted Giant’s sword.
Character Details 5 Beowulf soon returned to Geatland, where he took part in the historic raid against the Franks with his king Higlac. After Higlac fell in battle it was proclaimed that Beowulf would be the next king, by the decree of Hygd the queen. However Beowulf declined, problems arrived though and soon the next person in line for the throne perished as well. He ruled the Geats for 51 years and with it helped put Eadgils on the throne of the Swedes. When Beowulf was around 100 years old a dragon appeared and terrorized his realm after a theif stole some of the dragons treasure. After a successful attack with his thegns against the mighty beast, forcing it back into it’s cave he was later forced to meet the dragon alone in combat, well Wiglaf was the only who dared to join him. He fought bravely against the dragon and even though his sword broke, he defeated it with his bare hands, much like Grendel, he finally killed the beast by cutting it in half with a seax. Following the death of the dragon, Beowulf who had been injured by the dragons poisoned horn was dying. He helped himself to a final meal as he decided to eat the dragon, enjoying his final moments with a feast, together with Wiglaf. [/PTab][/PTabbedContent={width:430px;tab-alignment=center;}] |
