| [PTabbedContent=Gilgamesh Berserker][PTab=Status]Parameters STR | | B+ | END | | B | AGI | | A | MNA | | B- | LCK | | B | NP | | A+ |
Personal Skills Skill 01 | Divinity: A+ B | The measure of whether one has Divine Spirit aptitude or not. At high levels one is treated as a mixed race of a Divine Spirit, and the level declines when the Heroic Spirit's own rank as a Monster, Demonic Beast raises. It can also decrease due one's dislike for the gods. It also has an effect which reduces special defensive values called "purge defense" in proportion to the Divinity's Rank. It can break through Skills such as Protection of the Faith and Enlightenment of the Sacred Fig.
Berserker's original rank of this skill was A+ due to his status as a Demi-God who was primarily God, and only a third human. However, his embracing of his humanity and his distaste of the Gods have lowered this skill down to B Rank.
|
Skill 02 | Charisma: A- | The natural talent to command an army. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. A rare talent, and an ability inherent to Servants of the Saver class. It is said that a rank of B in this skill is sufficient to lead a nation as its King.
As someone who embraced the path of a Warrior instead of a King, Berserker possessed only an A-Rank in this skill as opposed to his counterparts A+. While this still was a Charisma superb among humans, it was not a curse unto itself. In the Berserker Class, this skill suffers an additional penalty due to his irritable nature. |
Skill 03 | Disputer of Heaven: A+ | The First Hero to actively defy the Gods and slay Divine Beasts. Gilgamesh gains passive boosts to his abilities against "divine entities or concepts." He is able to ignore divine protections or defenses, and takes massively reduced damage from attacks or concepts stemming from a divine nature. Additionally, entities possessing some amount of divinity take bonus damage from him, and he takes reduced damage from those of a divine nature.
Due to his slaying of the Divine Beasts/Divine Spirits Gugalanna and Humbaba, he gains a roughly half these bonuses against beings of monstrous origin.
However, this skill still allows him to accept aid from Divinities, as Gilgamesh himself received much guidance and protection from the God Shamash himself in life, and so is capable of receiving gifts or boons from divine sources. Should these boons handicap him or a divine "attack" be seen as a "friendly", it could circumvent this skill. |
Skill 04 | Instinct: A | The power to "feel" the most favorable developments for oneself during battle. At A-Rank, it is a refined sixth sense now close to true precognition. Bonus effect of reducing by half the penalties caused by obstructed vision and hearing. |
Class Skills Skill 01 | Mad Enhancement: E++ | Due to his low rank in this skill, Berserker manages to be not completely insane, instead only being somewhat reckless and tending to not think things through. His boisterous traits have been amplified while his more insightful side has been repressed by this skill. Also due to the low rank, he receives little to no physical benefits from this skill in most cases.
In rare circumstances, Gilgamesh will fly into a rage, losing control of himself. He will become little more than a rampaging beast, losing his ability for rational thought and even losing the ability to tell friend from foe. During this time his physical stats will rank-up, but his luck will suffer a severe rank-down. |
Noble Phantasm
| Marduk: Blades of Eternal Brotherhood | Rank: A+ | Type: Anti-Unit/Anti-Divine | The swords he was given by Shamash, and used during his adventures to slay the Humbaba and Gugalanna, and as such are superb Anti-Divine and Anti-Monster blades, amplifying the effects of his Disputer of Heaven skill. Originally a single blade, Gilgamesh cast the blade into two after the death of Enkidu, as an eternal reminder of his friend. When activated, the blades are clasped together in order to launch an Impossible Strike, symbolizing Enkidu and Gilgamesh's combined efforts to do not one, but two tasks that were lauded as impossible in their day and age, the first instances of slaying monsters and defying the gods and "acts of heroism" in recorded history.
The attack is Anti-Unit in nature, defined as a strike that will "absolutely defeat this enemy, regardless of how impossible it may seem." The laws of the world will bend to ensure this strike lands on the enemy, circumventing conventional protections and safeguards. Mortals may avoid the strike through luck or some ability or concept that may warp reality similarly to safeguard them, such as Gilgamesh's own Noble Phantasm Utanapishtim's Gift, but the effect is amplified against those with divinity, causing them to be almost certain to be slain by the technique.
Due to the nature of this attack, it is incredibly cost-ineffective for an anti-unit attack, so unlike Gae Bolg is not one that can be used in rapid succession like a machine gun, but rather is a last resort that upon being used damages Gilgamesh himself heavily, due to his own grief and punishments following him and Enkidu's achievement of the feats that enable this Noble Phantasm. Representing the worst loss he has ever suffered in his life, his spiritual core is directly damaged, physically crippling him and requiring Utanapishtim's Gift Noble Phantasm to recover. Even so, it is unwise for him to use it more than once in a short time frame, as the damage to his Spiritual Core will overwhelm Utanapishtim's Gift, rendering it inert and causing him to die.
If Mad Enhancement is in full effect, this Noble Phantasm cannot be activated at all, and the swords may only be used in their passive state.
|
Optional NP Image here | Humbaba: Axe of Mighty Heroes | Rank: A+ | Type: Anti-Unit/Anti-Army | A massive battle axe, the first "weapon of Heroes" and the axe used to decapitate the defeated Forest Guardian Humbaba, whom would later become the weapons namesake, and chop down the massive Cedar Tree's he protected. The Axe captured the "Terrors" of Humbaba, blessings given to Gilgamesh by Humbaba in exchange for gifts Gilgamesh offered the forest spirit as a ploy. While originally garments, the "radiances" were captured as curses in the axe for his sacrilegious act, instilling it with their properties as a Noble Phantasm.
The Axe carries the intense curse of Terror given out by Humbaba, causing those recognized as enemies by Gilgamesh to suffer extreme mental interference in the form of raw Terror, a fear that left even Gilgamesh and Enkidu overcome with panic and fear. Enemies of the wielder are afflicted with an extreme curse of terror, causing even the most stalwart of heroes to experience a true, nearly incapacitating fear. Those with Bravery, Protection of the Faith, or a similar Mental Interference blocking skill of a superb enough rank will be able to mitigate or ignore the axes effects. [Note: Not Magic Resistance, as this is specifically mental interference, not a spell cast upon enemies.] The Number of targets afflicted by this curse are limitless so long as Gilgamesh is aware of them as enemies and they are within a mile or so of him, but foes without the mental capacity for fear such as Ghouls or Spirits would be completely unaffected by this weapon.
The Axe possesses seven "Terrors", each of which can be activated at Gilgamesh's leisure on all current targets afflicted by the curse of Humbaba. These Terrors amplify the effect on the target, reducing their combat capacity and rendering them unable to utilize active Noble Phantasms for the duration of their encounter. A "Terror" can only be used on foes whom are already afflicted by the curse of Humbaba and do not have sufficiently high Mental Interference nullification [B~C-Rank or above.]. Additionally, as the Terrors do not "seal" Noble Phantasms so much as they make the wielder of the Noble Phantasms incapable of activating them, passive Noble Phantasms or Noble Phantasms that activate due to the will of a third party are not effected by these Terrors. [For example, Phoebus Catastrophe could be activated as it is Apollo and Artemis who preform the actual attack.] Gilgamesh possesses only seven "Terrors" to begin with, and normally upon using them can not recover them, but may recover them with a sufficiently high prana supply in a manner similar to God Hand.
This Noble Phantasm is uniquely only available to him in the Berserker class, and can be used passively or actively regardless of his mental state. |
Optional NP Image here | Utanapishtim's Gift: The Mortal Hero
| Rank: A | Type: Anti-Unit [Self] | A large portion of Gilgamesh's life was dedicated to finding the secrets of Immortality, a task that in the end resolved to be fruitless, as the destiny of men was to be mortal and die. Accepting this, Gilgamesh gave up on immortality in life and even a potion of youth he later acquired, he decided not to partake in as it would defeat the purpose of his journey and life's accomplishments to become young and have a second chance.
In his incarnation as a heroic spirit, he has been given a manifestation of these desires for immortality as a divine reward his journeys and struggles. This Noble Phantasm is passively active, and gives him the trait of "Absolutely Surviving", granting him a form of immortality as a Servant. Fate itself works to keep him from being harmed, manipulating circumstances to a limited degree to keep him from being struck by attacks that would leave his body damaged enough that he could die. Should this fail, his body has an innate resistance to death, granting him an immense resistance to all attacks and effects meant to "Cause instant or assured death" of equal or lower rank. Additionally, his body has a tendency to survive even grievous and fatal wounds, allowing him to recover from even fatal injury if given proper care.
Note: The Noble Phantasm grants him no healing factor within combat or manner of Battle Continuation. So he would require assistance in healing any wounds suffered even should he survive them, and can be grievously incapacitated to the point where he is unable to take action. While he will eventually recover form most injuries outside of combat given proper Prana, this is often far after the outcome of any battle has been decided. Additionally, he will still disperse if he has no connection to a prana supply, as he is unable to maintain himself as a heroic spirit without a Master or the Independent Action Skill. Additionally the Mana Cost of keeping this passively active causes him to suffer a - modifier to his Mana at all times. |

[PTab=Profile]Character Details 1 Height / Weight : 182 cm / 68 kg Source : Epic of Gilgamesh Home Region : Mesopotamia Alignment : True Neutral Gender : Male
Divergent Paths, Warrior and King Berserker stems from a different pathway than the Gilgamesh of the Fourth and Fifth Holy Grail Wars; A "variant" of the Gilgamesh known to the world, as it were. While the Gilgamesh of previous wars was the "King of all Mankind" whom took pride in owning all the treasures of the world, Berserker far more resembles the "Hero of Uruk" stemming from the Epic of Gilgamesh itself.
Taking pride in his skills as a Warrior, not his Authority as King, he considers his treasures to be nothing more than worthless trinkets that mean little to nothing in comparison to the thrill of worthy combat. This is reflected in his inability to use the treasures in the same manner as his counterpart; While Berserker can claim the same treasures as his own, his ideals and methodology cause him to use the weapons as a warrior would, through wielding them in combat, not as a King who uses them as instruments of his will rather than his body.
In addition, Berserker was never blessed with the "Star of Creation" Ea; In his timeline such a blade never existed and even should it have, he would have discarded the armament as a weapon unsuited to combat, only to raw destruction. The Meeting of Enkidu Gilgamesh was not a perfect, all-seeing ruler as the supposed "King of Heroes" might lead you to believe. While even as a youth he was relatively benevolent and wise for a king, he was also arrogant and selfish, forcing the young men of Uruk into forced labor on projects of his design and utilizing his Droit du seigneur, or "Lord's Right", allowing him to sleep with the women of Uruk on their wedding night. Naturally this did not sit well with a lot of his subjects, who cried out at his "injustice."
Enkidu came as an answer to their prayers, heading Gilgamesh off during one such attempt to exercise his right. Accosting Gilgamesh for his arrogance and cruelty, the two fought to a stand still as Gilgamesh was enraged at his questioning of his divine authority. While his countepart may have fought Enkidu with the vast armament of his treasury, Gilgamesh fought Enkidu as a warrior would, with only his own weapons and his own skill. The result was the same, as the duel ended in a draw, and a mutual respect for the others strength was formed. This respect bloomed into the greatest and truest friendship of Gilgamesh's life, and to this day he still considers Enkidu as "The closest person in his life, bar none." Quest for Immortality After the slaying of Humbaba and Gugalanna [otherwise known as the Divine Bull], and the eventual death of Enkidu, Gilgamesh became despondent without Enkidu around to guide him. His restlessness turned to fear at the prospect of his own mortality, and he spent the next several years on a perilous journey to find the secrets of immortality.
In the end the Journey bore fruit, but not the ones he expected. Gilgamesh did not acquire immortality, but by the end of his journey no longer desired it, coming to the realization that mortality was humanities boon, not it's curse. To live short lives and accomplish great deeds was the opportunity all men were afforded, and to prolong death is only to stretch the meaning of their lives across great distance. Better to live a short, meaningful life than a long one that becomes devoid of purpose. And so, returning to Uruk, he lived out the remainder of his natural life and died peacefully. Alternate Class Details Possible Alternative Classes: Saber, Archer, Caster, Assassin Saber: In the Saber Class, Gilgamesh would best be able to show off the universal combat skills he takes great pride in, gaining access to all three of his Divine Weapons of Shamash, Marduk, Humbaba, and Anu, though only Marduk will gain additional capabilities within this class. Archer: Gilgamesh's least favorite class that he will tolerate, below even that of Berserker, while it affords him the most independence and grants him access to all three of his Divine Weapons in a manner similar to the Saber class, it boosts the power of Anu, his least favorite of the three. Caster: Of Gilgamesh's many skills he has some access to magical rites and blessings, allowing him to qualify for this class. While he loses all three of his divine weapons in this class, he gains access to a Noble Phantasm known as Shamash, a divine Anti-Army Conceptual Noble Phantasm relating to the instance in which he offered up a prayer to Shamash and Shamash sent 13 divine storms to destroy his foe. Additionally, in this class he is closest connected to the Gods and obtains abilities akin to a high-priest or Hierophant.
Assassin: While technically he can qualify for this due to certain legends about his slaying of Humbaba, Gilgamesh refuses to even consider being summoned in this class, considering it shameful. [/PTab][/PTabbedContent={width:430px;tab-alignment=center;}] |
