[PTab=Profile] Character Details 1 Height / Weight : 178 centimeters / 78 kilograms Source : History & Chanson de geste Home Region : France & Jerusalem Alignment : Lawful Neutral Gender : Female Identity: Saber's identity is the king and defender of Jerusalem, and the legendary leader of the First Crusade, Godfrey of Bouillon, who was actually a woman called, "Godfreya". Character Details 2 The Beginning of the Crusader (Nasuversed) Eustace II Count of Boulogne had two sons: Eustace and Baldwin. However, there was one more child that his wife, Ida, bore. It was a girl, Freya, named after a Goddess, born after the eldest. She had golden hair and was seen as the jewel of the Count's eyes. Although her beauty was like that of an angel, her zealousness, vigor and personality was like that of a brazen lion. She was devoted as courageous a knight could be. Compared to her brother Baldwin, her desire to be a knight reached far from a simple ambition. Yet, it was not something a woman could simply achieve. Freya prayed for a miracle and thus, a miracle came. For her desire to be a knight that proudly served God, a blessing in disguise came knocking to her doorsteps. Godfrey the Hunchback, Duke of Lower Lorraine died and had no heirs. A "knightly and brave" person was needed to retake the lost land of their family and during the conflict of who to adopt as a heir, Freya stepped in, declaring, "My brother Baldwin has his own aspirations, let my will take this cup and be glory to God's!" She argued that her brave will to abandon her life as a woman and pose as the "heir to Lorraine" was that both influenced by her ideals as a faithful Christian and as a member of their house. "Oh my Freya, promise me that this will be the last time you shall cut your hair." Was the plead of her mother Ida before she embarked towards her new home and identity. She eventually changed her name and identity and took in reference of her dead relative, the name, "Godfreya" which would then be mispronounced as Godfrey. Character Details 3 The legendary Crusader After many years of conflict with lands and politics, Godfreya, with the call to retake the Holy Land, sold or put in mortgage all of her properties and together with her brothers, marched towards the Holy Land as Crusaders of Christianity. This would then be the beginning of her legendary military career as a servant of God. On route to Jerusalem, she would produce legends like the tale of her immense strength being able to easily cleave a camel's head with just a swing of her sword. Her military capabilities were then tested and proven. She eventually reasoned out that, "Until the day Jerusalem becomes at peace, I shall never cut my hair," was true to her heart and was also a reason to keep her promise to her mother. On the road to Jerusalem, at Cologne where the Crusaders massacred the Jews, she believed it was just to do so as they were blasphemers and sinners that defile's God's lands. But, she believed that it's possible for them to convert as God forgives, so, she reasoned with the Jews to convert and to repent, but their faith was so strong that even she was impressed yet displeased. Godfreya, however, chose to show them God's mercy in order to show them the light of Christianity. "I shall collect money from all of you to save you a day to rethink of your decisions." For the Crusaders too needed the money to continue the War until Esdessa. But, the Jews were bold in their answers, and Godfreya, after hearing their declarations of non-conversion, said, "I see. Even though you had once rejected God, He still sees the possibility of you rejoining His garden yet you still had the nerve to reject Him once again!" With a ferocious roar, she raised her sword and cleansed Cologne and all lands afterwards of heretics and traitors of God's lands. In the rode to Jerusalem, a Jewish prophet called her out as she passed by the gate saying, "You shall be king for three days---and only that. " She tried to force the Jewish prophet to give them a blissful revelation but failed to do so and ended up acquiring a divination that would eventually be true. As time passed by, her appearance as a woman was becoming more prominent. Her chest becoming larger and her scent becoming sweeter. However, due to her charismatic vibe and chivalrous attitude, many considered these traits as a "man's points", thereby getting the description, "as a man, who was mightier than another, with a stalwart chest." In the Siege of Jerusalem, she would be one of the first to take the walls of the Holy City, climbing over it and defeating the Fatamids that had taken it from the Christians. She would prioritize the holy sanctuaries of the city like the Holy Sepulchre and establishing a hospital for the wounded and affected, both soldiers and civilians. She came to the Holy Sepulchre, and cried while praying for God's forgiveness and guidance before going out of the city, declaring, "Those who do not believe and follow God's name and glory, shall be considered an enemy of His Kingdom, therefore, will be cleansed by this blade!" She would then be credited for cleansing Jerusalem of heretics and non-believers through a righteous movement. Eventually, under the agreement of the leaders of the Crusaders, a political government was needed to be established to enforce Jerusalem. Raymond of Toulouse refused the title of king, to save his piety, believing that another would suggest him to the position. However, none did so, and it was Godfreya whom was agreed by many to take the position. "My brothers, what should I do?" She asked her brothers Eustace and Baldwin. "You should take it. It's a position you are most worthy of. And everyone knows, more so us, that you are the most faithful and just of all the Crusaders." Unanimously, she was made "King of Jerusalem", the first title given to one. For three days she prayed for a sign whether she should receive the honor as God's will, but as three days passed, she declared, "I hereby oppose the position of King. As the Savior, Jesus Christ, wore a crown of thorns to shoulder mankind's sin, how could I wear a crown of gold?" Her faithful beliefs and ideals triumphed over her chivalrous desires. Although credited for chivalry and honored in the future as one of the Nine Worthies, her faith was more powerful than that. She declared herself the "Advocatus Sanci Sepulchri", merely a secular leader, in spite of her initial title as King. But to the eyes and hearts of many, she was still the King of Jerusalem. She would reign over the holy land for the remaining days of her 40 year life. She would take battles to eliminate the Fatamids in Ascalon and retrieve a relic of the True Cross and erect laws for the governing of Jerusalem while enduring a poison she received from an emir in Caesaria. With her death, the role of "King of Jerusalem" was eventually passed on to her younger brother, Baldwin. But many will remember, especially those Crusaders of her time and their descendants, and those that will aspire to become one, and eventually, she will embody the "Ideal Knight" for the Christians and Knights of her time, on the same level of what King Arthur had for Britain, and what her ancestor, Charlemagne, had been for the Franks. She had no regrets on how she proceeded with her life and would always be in gratitude for God's blessings that empowered her journeys. Character Details 4 Gladius Crucis: "Sword of Jerusalem" The personal sword of Godfreya in the class of Saber. It's not a Noble Phantasm without declaring the true name, Advocatus Regnum, rather, a normal sword that received its "holy properties" due to fighting, killing and defeating enemies of faith through an act of protecting one's faith from all foes and defending its sacred land through it.
