OOC: Our 'Halloween' might be different, but I'll try imagining the fanfare!

Miska looked down, reading the mission order receipt he had been given.
‘Helping at the Kitchen?’ he thought as he made his way to the kitchen,
‘But isn’t this why we have Servants?' There were so many people coming and going the kitchen that the small Miska had trouble just to enter the area. Pumpkin waitresses running around. Candy monster on the prowl. A golden-haired lady (
‘Lady Godfreya?’) chomping down on innumerable trays as if they were paper crepes. Miska sighed inwardly. He slightly wished that it would be just another night sitting around the fireplace telling horror stories….
And the kitchen at last. It was packed with even more people. Machines humming and cooks barking orders. But a single glance at the chaotic situation, and Miska understood the problem.
The kitchen was not effective enough.
There were too many request for too little cooking capacity. The placement of the cooking utensils were awry. The ovens heat were not even. The mixers too slow. And the personnel were awkwardly placed as to hamper their effectiveness. To be honest, it was both inefficient and ineffective, one which would terrorize a proper Third Family Member like Miska. Already she felt slightly sickened by the sight.
“Chaldea. Requesting-““Granted. EX level magecraft can be initiated for this night only. You are all Sorcerers tonight!”
“Oh?” Miska was slightly intrigued by the inherent cheerfulness in Chaldea. But she guessed this would be the best.
‘Okay! I can do this. Improvements, begin’
And with the activation of his Magic Circuits, Miska could feel himself connected to the “system”. To every nodes of action and its consequences. To every pathway, every input and possible outcomes…
System name: Kitchen. Type : Open. Complex.
General Input: Cooking Efforts
General Output: Edible Foods “Πιο αποτελεσματική”
Now begins the real test. Miska closed his eyes, mind focused completely on the task. His fingers were touching the kitchen door, just enough for his Magic Circuits to interfere with the system. All of his life, all of his family’s line, all of the research and centuries-old treatises. All was made for this-
1. Understanding the concept of creation'Kitchen is used to process raw food materials to edible ones. It involves workforce: People, Utensils, Machines…. Time and Space need to be considered….'2. Analyzing the basic structures'Sub-System: Baking Cookies (Sub-Sub system: People (Mixer, Baker, Order……. ), Utensils (Whisk, Spoon…), Machines (…..)); Sub-system: Cakes (Sub-Sub System…..)); Enclosing System: Time: Time of order, Voice time, Reaction Time, Baking time….. ; Space: (Personal space (Movement, Comfortable zone), Work Space (…)); etc. etc. '
3. Picturing the interactions in relation of the structures'Baking Cookies: <Almond Cookies>: (Flour+Water+Butter+Sugar+Leavener+……) + (Order giver+Mixer+Baker….) + (Whisk+Bowl+ ….) …. ;; <Lemon cookies>: (….) … - Time needed (Time of Voice+Time to move+ ….) etc. etc.'4. Determining the laws of operation'Baking Cookies: <Almond Cookies> : Mixing= (Chemical properties of flour. Water; Gluten : Four-dimensional protein Fourth….Third…Second…
); Butter: (CH3(CH2)7CH=CH(CH2)7COOH, CH3(CH2)14COOH….) Carbon interaction…. [Sound: Sound Propagation: 1st clause……; Mersenne: Frequency…] [Thermodynamics Law: …..] <Lemon cookies> : Mixing = C6H8O7. ……….. ] etc. etc. '5. Imagining the mechanism in action'Baking Cookies: <Almond Cookies> 1. Arrange racks in upper and lower thirds of oven and preheat to 350°F. Lightly oil 2 large baking sheets, then line with parchment paper. 2. In food processor, combine 2 1/4 cups almonds and 1/3 cup sugar. Process until finely ground, scraping down sides once or twice. Set aside. 3. In electric mixer fitted with whisk attachment, beat egg whites and salt at high speed…… etc. etc. <Lemon Cookies> : 1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients…. Etc. etc…..'Cakes: <Black Forest> 1. First, Etc. etc…..'6. Improving the system via means such as: reinforcing the structures and/or changing the interactions and/or manipulating the laws of operation, etc in order to increase the outcome.
This is it. The crux of the whole spell. This is what separates a Third Family, second line, from other Magi. A shiver ran down Miska’s spine as she realized the complexity of this system called 'Kitchen'. To be able to improve such complex system! And with unlimited power! This is heaven!
'Baking Cookies: <Almond Cookies> Weakness detected: Mixing process. Causes: 1. Position of people….2. Mixing speed: too low. Mixing: Limited by gluten avoidance. 3. Baking: Heat. Limiter: Burnt. …..etc. etc. Improvements: High. Capability: unlimited. Streamlining process… Increasing electricity conversion… Etc. etc. '7. Maintaining the improved system'Overall results: 400% initial output. Individual scores sheet: Baking Cookies (Almond cookies) : 360% . [Problems found: 1. Brittleness of the mixer. Option: 1. Reinforcement. 2. Re-configuration…Etc. Etc.. ] Lemon cookies: 510%. [Problems found:…..Etc. etc…….
'Overall results: 440% initial output…. Overall results: 510% initial output…'Yes! Yes! Miska could feel himself swelling with pride as the overall effectiveness kept increasing. Oh his family would be proud. He didn’t train his spell for nothing! With his eyes closed and his mind utterly focused, he began mentally retracing to step 6. This can be changed… Let’s see if we re-configure its composition… A little more heat… At times like these he was glad that he was born an Average One. There were so many ways he could do to improve something!
Slowly but surely, the change in effectiveness began taking effect. Dough were thoroughly mixed faster than before. Almonds were crushed more easily. Cakes rose up faster and fluffier and thoroughly more delicious. The oven went “ping” and “ping” and “ping” again 4 times faster than normal, and pies and pastries churn out faster and faster, until even the waiters began questioning how the heck could there were still so many piles of food while the chefs shook their head in amazement…
'Overall results: 1130% initial output…. Overall results: 2890% initial output… Overall results: 5430% initial output….'And then it began. Mixers began to shake and stir at the exorbitant speed it was forced to mix. Whisks became so springy a little touch sent it spinning out of control. The oven lids opened and closed so fast it became blurry, while the fire in the stove blazed in uproar as it attempted to heat the ingredients faster and faster. Weaker-minded people working in the kitchen, the various chefs and cooks and cutters had been so thoroughly absorbed in the system that they were becoming mindless automata, with nothing left of them except how efficient they could do their task. Place this hand here while the other here and the positioning must be perfect because after this process there would be less time to….
'Overall results: 6666% initial output.... Overall results: 7100% initial output….'Cookies shot out of ovens like bullets of machine guns. Cakes, with every topping and every decoration placed to allow maximum effectiveness, were stacked so high they nearly touched the lamps. Platters of pies and pastries and sweet breads were strewn around in uncountable amounts they looked like a small army. And the people, utterly mindless now, became hazy as their movements became so streamlined only their needed limbs were moving. Some heads in the dining hall had already turned around, wondering why they could see cakes behind the kitchen window…
At 10000% initial output, the kitchen exploded.
A deluge of sweets and main courses barged through every windows and doors, flooding the dining hall in their gustatory avalanche. Cookies as high as tsunamis; Cakes stacked like walking walls; Candies that filled the room up to the ceiling; All streamed out of the over-effective kitchen and swamped the entire dining hall, drowning those not fast enough to move or too gluttonous to actually
tried to move in a sea of edibles. And it didn’t stop there. Already the wave of edible foods had broken the main building door, threatening to turn the snowy landscape around into greasy buttery fields loitered with caramelized flowers…
And in the centre of it all, buried meters deep underneath Almond cookies and Black Forest tarts, was the Kopparsvard lordling, eyes closed as she still tried to increase the effectiveness of the kitchen even more.
It was, literally, a Sweet Apocalypse.
