Whenever Ai tried to do something good, she failed badly and this was no exception for her. The two servants in front of her were already raising the tension between then and it was all because of Ai's carelessness. Her eyes slowly watering again and her head lowering down the more they exchanged words. As the leader of the team and as a magi, not being able to hold her team together was hurtful for her.
Please.. stop... Muramasa-san... Archer-san... please... no more fighting... I want us all to get along and I want us all to get back home safe... She was trying hard to hold up her tears, yet unable to hold her head high and look at them in the eyes... It's my fault that we're delayed with the mission and it was my fault that we were attacked because I was being too noisy...
Ai was feeling so sad that she didn't even want to wait for their words. She started to walks towards the direction that Archer mentioned, they had to make it to the bridge and meet with Rider. Ai just decided to not say a word anymore and stick to her servant's suggestions. She then mumbled as she kept walking ahead of them.
What's the point of me being a leader if I fail to make just 1 thing right for all of us....

“Tch…” Muramasa’s response was something that a worthless troublemaker would say in the situation. Anyone could tell that his words didn’t carry weight, that such a basic memory would be required of a guardian. It was the layered poisonous words that someone who had a definite agenda would say, if he had to compare it to someone, the closest match would be an old friend of his, who let jealousy and insecurity twist him into a madman obsessed with himself.
Just what the agenda Muramasa had planned was also something that was beginning to take shape. The moment he laid eyes on the swords, he could tell they were intended to spread death...more so than regular weapons. They were certain to drive the wielder insane while increasing their parameters, and feed the prana of the creator of the weapon, Muramasa himself.
He considered drawing out swords from his own arsenal and destroying them, but the nature of the world they were in made such a thing pointless. They’d be eliminated with the pocket world Chaldea created once it ended. Still...him littering them around boded ill. This was no hero...it was a monster, similar to the Caster or Rider of his own war. If he had to work with someone like that, he would, but it’d probably be better for team cohesion as a whole to just kill him right where he stood.
Ai’s outburst took that option away from him. With a sigh, he turns back in the right direction, facing the hospital. She made it just about impossible to continue to try and confront Muramasa, and if he did, he’d be going against the directive of the assigned Master. “Very well, Ai. But do not think that this is your fault. We are going to get you back home safe.” He stares back up, into Muramasa’s eyes. The unspoken message is very clear.
Don’t try anything, or I will kill you.
Turning around, he leads the way, making sure to stay at a distance that Ai can clearly follow, and he could clearly react to anything occurring behind him. One of the biggest concerns on his mind was Ai picking up one of the cursed blades, and he had a weapon primed for projection in case such an event would come to pass.

Waah, scary. Muramasa thought to himself mockingly as he saw archers look. He had no illusion that out of the two Archer had more experience, prowess and most likely skill when it came to fighting. But unlike archer, he knew that none of that mattered in the end since even so, Muramasa doubted he would lose. If archer was of such a small mind to kill someone over a matter such as this, the amount of things bothering him must be out of this world and nothing was easier than killing a busybody, no matter how far they thought they were above all things. In the end, being a goody two shoes would always come to haunt them and kill them. Muramasa knew just as well, having gone from a successful swordsmith with no evil agenda to what he was now.
As for Ai, she was crying again. Uselessly none the less since the matter would have resolved in one way or another and the mission would have been completeled. Sighing, he decided to at least keep her on the right track for now, since this way archer would go softer than he should be. Sure, Muramasa could deal with hordes of ghouls by himself, but he had rather not and the safety of Ai was not guaranteed at all. Patting her head gently again, he smiled down at her and said: "Hmm, don´t worry too much Ai. We were not seriously fighting and thanks to you our team now knows even better how to work together. See, Archer is doing his job now and leading us and I will take greater care to help you from now on. Just depend on me a little.
I know it can be difficult to trust in people or yourself, I know all too well, but just take things at your pace and you will grow even faster than before. expecting the instincts and wisdom off a soldier from a girl of your age and in this age is too much to learn in the span of one mission. But next time you will be able to already discern teh best way better and learn from it. Just like me, I am just a swordsmith learning to be a warrior. So, how does that sound, learning together? And I will be there if you need someone to talk to." Muramasa ended with a smile and tousling her hair a little, as if hoping to cheer her up. Seeing a ghoul move in the shadows of a nearby building, he created another sword and threw it, killing it and leaving yet another sword. Ah, he enjoyed being able to create swords like these with barely any effort and this strength was something he would have liked to have back then as well. Maybe history would have taken a very different way then...

The trail of death that the Khan left in his wake was far from subtle and once everyone got back on track and catching up with him would have spotted the remains of large quantities of Ghouls. Their now utterly lifeless husks littering the general surroundings. Though some still remained, their numbers would be less than a hindrance for either Archer or Muramasa.
Once they made it to the point where the Khan would have originally waited, he was obviously absent though the trail of corpses would have given the indication that Rider had stopped waiting and moved on. If Archer moved to a position with higher vantage he would have spotted the Red Head Warlord was already by the bridge.
Genghis released one final arrow took out the last Ghoul to show itself, as well those that had been chasing him. The bridge was far from intact, in fact portions of it were collapsed here and there, but from the looks of it the structural integrity was not overly compromised. The Khan rather fearlessly lead his ride and performed several tests as he crossed, by having his steed jump and stomp as well as quickly charge across it. He felt no rumbling nor he heard any noises of straining from the bases of the Bridge. With a satisfied nod, he crossed and before moving on he once again focused on his link with Ai.
They seemed to be moving slowly in the direction this time. And if Archer was the anywhere visible from his position, the Khan would have raised his arm and signified that he would continue to move on. Regardless, Rider would examine this new side of the city and find it in a similar state of ruin. Then without delay he moved toward the Hospital.

Just as the small argument between Saber and Archer stopped, Ai continued on her way to the bridge. Muramasa tried to make conversation with her and make things somewhat better but Ai was already too sad to give it attention. Her priority now was getting to the bridge as soon as possible and meet with Rider. She started to run, there was no time to lose, aside from being delayed they also took a detour so the gap between them and Rider was already considerably long. Ai felt confident too, Archer was leading their way and constantly giving them signals on where to head to, avoiding possible ghoul encounters and finding the fastest way to the bridge.
I don't want to be a little girl anymore, I want to be recognized as a capable magi and earn their respect...
Just a few streets before the bridge, the trail of dead ghouls nearby seemed to be the signature of Temujin as it was clear that he had passed that way already... We're here! … And as Ai and Muramasa arrived to the bridge, Rider was nowhere to be seen... W-where's Temujin?... Is it possible that he left without us...? … Well, considering Rider took the lead by going ahead instead of Archer, it would be expected that he continued on.
We cannot really wait here, it's already dangerous enough in the city... Rider knows about the mission so Archer please, guide us to the Hospital and let us know if you spot Temujin. Muramasa-san, come with me and help me cross the bridge!... We're just close enough to our objective and we must not fail!

As Archer led the way across the River, his Master's instructions kept him going all but immediately. Soon enough, they'd made up enough ground lost to the ambush that he was able to see Rider once again, if only through his enhanced vision. Leaping over the bridge, he points in the direction they needed to go. "Unfortunately, the bridge is rubble. Muramasa, I assume you can make the jump?"
Once he clears the cursed water, he scans for enemies, but the corpses on the ground clearly signified that Temujin had been doing his job effectively. Still, he keeps his eyes peeled as he continues making his way over to the hospital, trying to identify any shortcuts that remained from before Fuyuki had been destroyed, and potential places for more ambushes. Things seemed relatively uneventful, though his prepared plans were becoming more numerous. There was a pile of garbage ghouls could burst from that he could destroy with an explosive shot, or from the sewer system remains that he could pick off as they climbed. They could even dig out of the ground himself that he could simply project swords into.
Things seemed to keep being quiet, however, so he continued to simply lead the way. Hopefully they had enough surprises.

Ah, such was the fate of the ones trying, he thought. He had been trying to help her in his own twisted way, but she did not want his help, just like all who had wanted better weapons and more destruction. There was a price for everything and the price he paid for trying was apparently ignorance. Well, he was used to it, so he just shrugged and followed along, keeping up with Ai without any problems and yet wondering where her sudden enthusiasm came from. Well, he did not need to ask when all she would do would just meet him with silence. He was not angry at it, just resigned, as he always had been when once more a weapon of his was blamed even though innocent... No, not innocent, or was it? In all the legends that was himself his head was swimming whenever he tried to remember something, seeing many times himself doing the same yet different things. Deja Vu. If he was not quite close to complete insanity and disaster, he would have broken under it. Instead, he just got closer to his imagined self, edging away from his real self.
Reaching the bridge, the only thing he could say went wrong so far was that he only left a few pieces of himself behind and not many more. But there would be many more chances from now on and he would use all he could. Smiling down at Ai, he wondered how she had decided, what her thoughts were, if his words or actions had sharpened her or made her become even duller. But for now it seemed like she was back to acting like a master. Nodding at her, knowing that she would need a lift, he picked her up like a princess and took a step back. Since he had been told to get her across he would since it definitely seemed to be the only way across without her dying one way or another.
And at the moment, she was still useful and needed and maybe could become something interesting later on, so he saw his own gain just as well as the order. He definitely had no idea if he could though. So as Archer asked him if he could make the jump, he grinned at him and winked. There was a first time for everything. Hugging her tighter to his chest, he felt her in his arms before he breathed in slowly and then out. "Let´s go." One step, acceleration beyond human capability, still throttled as before to not hurt her, kicking off and flying higher and faster than he... No, he knew quite well what he was capable of and yet it was new to him, just as he knew suddenly so many things, it was like an instinct, but the real deal was still something else. The lines wiped away and in need of new evaluation. Grinning, he felt true happiness for the first time since he had been called upon as he was gliding over the bridge, easily crossing it and feeling as if he was flying. Comparable to when he first created a weapon and not just tools for studying purposes.
It was grand and he smiled until he felt the gravity and gravitation of their situation, in space. "Hold tight." He said down toward Ai and saw where he would land. Deciding to slide along the torn apart ground, most likely from riders breakthrough. And so he came to the ground and slid along several feet while tearing into the earth, slightly turning to make sure no spraying earth or stone would hit Ai. Breathing in again, he looked in front and stepped out of the slightly deeper lines he had created in the earth. "Well, that worked better than expected. You okay? Well, Master, I hope it was to your satisfaction. Let´s follow Archer." He said and walked behind Archer, not even really aware of Ai he was carrying and just losing himself in memory until she would say something or they would be attacked or would just, if it could really happen, reach their destination without another hitch.

Genghis got to the hospital relatively quickly. On this side of the waterway there were less optional paths to take to reach the Hospital. It was also far more quieter than the other side. The number of Ghouls was less and the frequency of their attack even fewer, those that did reared their ugly presences were quickly dispatched.
The medical complex was large, but half of it had collapsed and been toppled down. It was large enough that Genghis briefly mused on the numbers of patients it could have held, if every city in this modern age had one. Sickness wouldn't have been an issue. He was honestly glad of human ingenuity and how it slowly but surely conquered whatever the world threw at it.
Rider unsaddled from his horse, drawing a curved sword while dismissing his bow and steed. He was not a great warrior, at least his legend wasn't based on martial prowess and feats of arms. His statuses in the rider class weren't high, but he was still a warrior and beings like these Ghouls were no threat to him.
He walked into the ruin, though he moved purposely while searching he did take in the sights. Compared to the labs and locations within Chaldea they were plainer, even in their ruined state. But somehow, the Khan marveled with the little things Humanity had produced. Rather fortunately he did not any Ghouls to obstruct his search or his thoughts.
Deeper inside he found the burnt husks of Ghouls. He followed the trail, considering the numbering of corpses it had been quite the horde that attacked the previous team. They must have had only a servant not suitable for close combat and that caused the Master to get injured. He found the K-box further within, it was one roughly the size of a shoe box. He was aware that he couldn't operate the object but he was also aware that he could carry it.
As he exited the Hospital he did finally encounter opposition in the form of a pair of Ghouls. He quickly decapitated one and severed the other's outstretched arms and finally put it out of its misery with a second cut of his curved sword.
The Khan proceeded to move toward the location of his Master. He didn't bother to conjure his foul horse again, and swiftly moved through the ruined streets, until he spotted Archer. He waved his weapon in the air, he wore a welcoming smile, then approached. "Archer, I retrieved object. I assume there are no further delays?" He said, tapping the sigil ridden box.

At the bridge Ai encountered a problem, to cross it without falling into the cursed river, but just how can a girl like her do such thing?... Before she even realized it, she was taken into Saber's arm and was being carried like a princess. The idea of being carried all the way to the hospital was certainly efficient and better considering all the troubles that they've had to deal with already but...
M-muramasa san... Her face was slightly red as she never expected her first experience of being carried by a man to be it with a servant and all out of the blue. She was not opposing the idea and she felt comfortable about it, only deep inside her she was slightly annoyed that her first experience was not with a man she could call “husband”... Thank you...!
The travel time from one side of the river to the other reduced greatly, Ai wondered why didn't they have rushed the mission just this way. Archer was already ahead of them and from the distance he seemed to have made contact with Rider too.
There they are! Muramasa san let's hurry up!
She had her arms carefully wrapped around Saber's neck as they quickened the pace. Arriving at the place now all the team was reunited again. Ai carefully let go off Saber as she stood on her own, looking at Rider and Archer as she spoke.
Rider! I'm glad you're okay!... Archer! Thanks for guiding us through and protecting us too... sorry for the delay but we're here now!... Shall we proceed to move to our objective?

Archer shrugs at the news. "I'm sorry to have to leave everything to you like this, Temujin. It was rather hard making sure the master received proper directions at times." While his decision was somewhat foolish, there was no telling what resistance could have awaited inside the hospital, it was clear that what Temujin did was by far the quickest and most efficient way to complete the objective, so he didn't really mind.
As Muramasa clears the river with Ai in tow, he shrugs back at them. "Looks like the little adventure's come to a close. Seems like we might as well get back home, Rider finished everything for us."
