Hello, everyone! Since the IC-box is so popular, I feel people are looking for chances to express their characters outside of threads a lot – especially given they can often be slow-paced, or otherwise limiting. So, this is your chance to say a little more about your characters with some easy prompts. Simply answer the questions from the perspective of your character. It’s a good excuse to think about your characters’ more trivial or personal feelings and experiences a bit more; so it should help round-out some of the more dramatic and grandiose characters out there. That said, this is probably best for Masters given Servants will probably give extravagant answers; but with that in mind I’d recommend if you do plan on doing it for Servants try and given answers relative to their place in the modern world, rather than what they did in the past; since it’ll have more of a personal touch rather than a historical one. I’ll be aiming to add some more questions in the future, perhaps on a regular basis, depending on if people are keen on it or not. In any case, for now; enjoy! - As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- Where did you learn most your skills and other abilities?
- In your opinion, what is the most evil thing a person could do?
- What do you believe makes for a ‘successful’ life?
- What do you look for most in a potential date/lover?
- How close are/were you to your family?
- What does you do when you’re stressed?
- What makes you laugh?
- If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
- If you could choose, how would you want to die?

Wonderful idea! I’ve always liked these inquiry about characters since they helped a lot in writing! In other sites they even put 100 questions and tried Jungian Analysis Now please welcome, Miska, Lord Kopparsvard IX! “T-thank you- I think? Hello…”“Hello Miska! Please sit down. Don’t be so nervous!” “I am –not- nervous. Not scared, too- Not…not I don’t feel something with –I mean, you are my creator so I am truly honored…O-oh yes! I am honored to meet you in person!”“Aww you don’t have to be so formal with me. Well, we are culturally formal but I think we can be more lenient? You are basically my child…”“O-okay…If that is what you prefer…”“Perfect! You are adorable you know~ Now the first question: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?”“I want to be like Father? He was the only- wait Grandfather counts too. I..I’ve never met my mother and they were all the role-model I had so…” "Understandable. Maybe it’s different if you’ve ever met your mother, no? So where did you learn most your skills and other abilities? “From father, too. He alone taught me –I mean- Grandfather did too but it was…late. If-if you understand my meaning?”
“Of course I do! So your father hasalready taught you most of the things you need before your grandfather showed up. Does that mean you all are close? How close are you to your family? “Very close I want to say… I-I mean I feel really close to them but you can never know how others think about you, right? So..so…” “Please don’t be so pessimistic! Which makes me wonder, what makes you laugh?” “F-Funny things…?”
“Oh, geez. But that is a valid answer so… What do you do when you’re stressed?”“I read books, I think Not-not all the time of course. Just when I want to- Sometimes I got stressed from book too. The-the stressful books? -There are many stressful books right?"“Mhm. So, what do you believe makes for a successful life?” “Successful? I don’t know…Like-like Grandfather I think? He is so dignified and everyone respected him…Maybe if someone leaves a long-lasting –not only deeds, things also, Like…like the heroes in the books. Maybe they –are- successful?”"I think so, too. Then, if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
“I have to be a Lord, which is not bad –I mean- I know I am firstborn but wouldn’t it be better for a Lord to –actually- be…“Yes, Miska?”“…nothing.”
“You’re making me curious~ What do you look for most in a potential date/lover?”“It-it is…um…It is enough if they can understand me. I think. My curiosity. My responsibility. I-I think, because of it I can never be a good…” “…More silence. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing a person could do?”“…Making another person suffer.” ‘Concise like a true Lord! Wonderful! Last question: If you could choose, how would you want to die?”
“D-die? I haven’t even old yet- I mean- Umm…If-if I have to die here, I –think- I want to go…with dignity….Yes. Something not embarrassing or ugly…” “Wow that is surprisingly deep. Alright, thank you for your time, Miska! I hope you keep holding on! Maybe one day you’ll find your prin-““W-what is that sound?”“…Chaldea’s alarm. I hope to see you later, Miska! "

And for a bonus: The enigma itself! Thank you for coming, Signy. I think you have been quite busy?”“Greetings, Master. Yes there have been so many works to do.” “Works, as in, a spider weaving her net?”
“Oh, Miss know-it-all, are you?”“…Don’t jeer, Signy. It doesn’t suit you.”
“As you wish, Master~” “… Okay. Um, first question. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?”“Why, I want to be myself of course, Master. I can never be anyone else no matter how I want to…”“No, I mean…a role model or something?”“My only role model was taken away from me very early, Master. I don’t think I need another one.” “…I have a feeling these questions will yield no answer.... Where did you learn most your skills and other abilities?”
“Must I specify each place, Master? I have been to so many places in different worlds it is hard to say when...”“Just one, Signy? Or maybe two?”“…Ásaland and Alfheim”“Was there where your family lives? How close are you to your family?”
“Quite close, Master.”
“That’s all? What makes you laugh, Signy?”
“When I feel like it, Master. It is hard to specify.”
“…Wonderful. What do you do when you’re stressed?”
“I am sorry Master. I don’t remember the last time I was stressed… But if I do, I’d rectify what made me stressed, of course~”
“What do you believe makes for a suceessful life?”
"A life worth living, Master... And worth remembering.”
“You are hard, Signy. Um… if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?"
“I change myself constantly, Master. I already did your question.”
“No I mean… Okay. What do you look for most in a potential date/lover? This one sure you can answer.”
“Oh, it depends, Master. For me the question is what they look for most in a potential date/lover.”
“…And?”
“And what, Master?”
”…”
“I am so sorry Master I don’t understand…”
“What is the most evil thing a person could do?"
“This is a delicate answer, Master. You do know good and evil are relative to the one making judgment, don’t you?”
“Yes. So?”
“So, Master. I don’t judge~”
“Alright. If you could choose, how would you want to die?”
“…”
“Signy?”
“Ah! I am sorry Master. This is a hard question.”
“Please go on.”
“If I die, I want to die…remembered.”
‘Isn’t that easy Signy? What I am saying is…”
“Not as easy as it should be, Master.”
“Um, okay. Thank you for- yes? Oh, no, we didn’t order a drink…”
“I do Master. I thought you might be thirsty after interview so I stopped by the kitchen to tell them to deliver you a drink. I hope it is to your liking...”
“That is so kind of you! Please put them here…Yes. Thank you very much.”
“…Cheers, Master?”
“Cheers! Thank you Signy… … Oh this is delicious.”
“They said it is so delicious it makes you forget who you are, Master.”
“Really? Um, I do feel I…”
“…”
“…”
“Oh, poor Master. Let’s see what kind of memories we can alter~”

As a child, what did you want to be when they grew up?
"I wanted to be a hero of justice....what? What do you mean that's cliche? What? I'm a Faker?!"
Where did you learn most your skills and other abilities?
"I learned it through experience...what do you mean a prophet taught me? My friend was a failed teacher. He used to let us take notes while he stutters around!"
In your opinion, what is the most evil thing a person could do?
"Treachery is the worst sin a person could do to anyone...what do you mean I'm being a hypocrite? Just because I'm---"
What do you believe makes for a ‘successful’ life?
"A successful life is a life without sin. My life being unsuccessful? I was fated to fall the moment I came to meet him. Fall in love? If that's how you see it..."
What do you look for most in a potential date/lover?
"I believe someone with a composed self, sincere nature but has a fierce side is incredibly attractive. Martha?! No way. That psycho girl already has a dragon with her. *tsun tsun mode*"
How close are/were you to your family?
"Never pray in this world without god-- I still have the words of my mother inside my heart."
What does your character do when they’re stressed?
"....I try to internalize myself and...what? Become a chuuni?! I do not have such fantasies!"
What makes you laugh?
"Peter getting crucified upside down, BWAHAHAHAHAH! Though, I never saw that in person but still ******* hilarious."
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
"My name. I wish people would call me <microphone suddenly lost power>."
If you could choose, how would you want to die?
"I want to die bathed in the light that I had embraced while fulfilling the hope I promised myself to have."

- As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
The girl laughs hollow, having seen this question coming and answering it easily. "I always wanted to be a warrior like my ancestors, as the stars told me. To become a great king who is nice to everyone, but punishes those who restrict others or break their promises, while caring for my own people."
- Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
"On the battlefield and from my birthright, I was always being favored by my dear war god Mars." Nearly lovingly a single finger glid over the hilt of photon ray, caressing it lightly.
- In your opinion, what is the most evil thing a person could do?
Atli sighs, this seemed to become one of these topics. "There is no 'greatest' evil, every man and woman have good in themself, it is culture, religion and themself that restrict and make them act evilly. They can all be good if they wanted and the rules, like religion were all gone." Nods to herself, hands tightening into fists.
- What do you believe makes for a ‘successful’ life?
Blushes just the tiniest bit, while whispering: "Being happy."
- What do you look for most in a potential date/lover?
"Someone passionate and strong, able to stand above the rest, who I can trust in both strength and never to lie to themself or me." An impassive smile flashes across Atli´s face and she looks out of the window at the pure white snow.
- How close are/were you to your family?
A look of barely contained pain like a shadow lays on her face, breaking her smile for just a moment before it is restored. "I loved my brother Bleda very much. But he had other ideas about how to rule the huns than me and... I am sorry, next question please."
- What does your character do when they’re stressed?
Atli leans forward and tells the moderator a bit more quietly, not wanting to seem unnaturally violent to whoever may be listening. "Usually I go out to cool down and punch a tree until it falls over or have a little wrestling match with a bear. Or if it is just a little, I try to cook and bake." Weirdly silent in the middle, not really wanting to give away her level of awfulness with cooking.
- What makes you laugh?
Holding up her finger, Atli begins counting, slowly lowering finger after finger. "A good fight, pathetically self restraint people, small animals, a good raid, any joke really and sitting under the starry sky." Knowing exactly well, that most people would not even notice her laughing, but it did not mean that she was not feeling something was funny enough to laugh about it.
- If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
White hair and headscarf wave about lightly as she shakes her head, wondering why people always seemed to think one wanted or had to redo their life. "Nothing. I am satisfied with my life and myself."
- If you could choose, how would you want to die?
Her impassive smile widens just a little. "In battle."

1. As a child, what did you want to be when they grew up?
“When I was a child? Oh, that’s hardly specific, a kid goes through a million different things and I wanted to be everything. A nurse one day, a doctor the next, a knight who could save a princess the day after! Oh—and someone’s fairy godmother, I don’t know why but that appealed to me a lot. I wanted to make someone’s wishes come true.” A soft burst of laughter later the brunette tucks a piece of hair behind her ear, smiling fondly. “But that’s a child being a child, I always knew what I had to be, father let me entertain those thoughts, especially the ones that seemed more…fantastical. But in the back of my mind I knew that it was always ‘replace my father, be even better than my grandmother’. I didn’t mind. It’s what I was born to do.” 2. Where did you learn most your skills and other abilities? “Dad, grandma… reading, I learned a lot from reading. I suppose when I went to school I did gymnastics and hockey and all that but the things that matter to a magus? That’s from dad and Saoirse. The skills and abilities I’m going to teach my children are the ones dad and Saoirse taught me so…” A shrug, accompanied by a very small smile. “I suppose they’re the ones that matter most right? At least to Chaldea." 3. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing a person could do? “I want to say kill a person, because it’s the worst sort of ending, isn’t it? But it’s deliberately getting in the way of what a person wants, destroying decades or generations of hard work. For some reason that doesn’t sit well by me.” 4. What do you believe makes for a ‘successful’ life? “Happiness. I want to say happiness. But I think it’s better to be an unhappy person who knows as much as possible than a happy fool. As a magus I have to say having a child with good quality circuits, who will be better than me. As Grainne I’m going to say…a life that’s remembered. A life with as few regrets as possible. Something completely and utterly fulfilling to the core.” 5.What do you look for most in a potential date/lover? “I mean I guess I have a weakness for blonds or something and when I was younger I was into the heroic types but now that I’m older I’ve learned they don’t really exist. Not anymore at least. It's not that that matters really, I want someone who can make me feel something. That's not too specific is it? Is it too unspecific? I guess I like men who can...lift me up with one hand or something? I don't really know, it's not like I get a lot of crushes!" 6.How close are/were you to your family? “Incredibly so, perhaps not so much with my grandmother…I look an awful lot like her you see, so I suppose there were all these assumptions and when I was younger I wanted nothing more than to emulate her, you understand. I was quite good at being Saoirse II and I felt closer to her doing that. Whether we're close now remains to be seen...I did sort of run off to Chaldea and leave her on her own after all. My relationship with my mother was good, you know before she died giving birth to Aodh. Who then also proceeded to...die. I imagine I'd have been a good sister, I remember being so excited and a lot of my memories of my mam are when she was pregnant with him. Da was a sweetheart, really soft, didn't really fit into magus society or whatever. I think grandma saw him as a bit of a failure for an heir but I loved da, totally heartbroken when he kicked the bucket. Are you spotting a pattern? I'm spotting a pattern." Awkward laugh. "I hate having to talk about this in the past tense." 7.What does your character do when they’re stressed? "There's nothing better than just curling up with a book you love, a mug of tea and a blanket and just losing yourself in the book. It's amazing. I suppose angrily hitting things with a hockey stick is also nice but I've not really bought any of my gear to Chaldea with me, so reading it is!" 8.What makes you laugh? "Witty things tend to make me giggle, I also quite like more physical humour like seeing people fall over. And tickling, tickling never ceases to make me laugh. Same with the fact that Medb got killed by a--" the brunette pauses to laugh, before turning her head to make sure said mythological queen was nowhere in site. "If she ever comes around please make sure to tell her that I didn't say that." 9.If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? "I..." gray hues move to glance at her chest, a small frown making its way onto her face before Grainne settled on an actual answer. "I guess I'd like to have been more authoritative outside of the whole 'Saoirse II' thing, I mean that was an awful remnant of my teenage years and early twenties when I couldn't say no to my grandmother. Heh. Oh god the fact I'm even looking back at that with nostalgia makes me feel old. I take it back, I want to be eighteen again. I held back on a lot of things back then." 10.If you could choose, how would you want to die? "Content, after my husband with at least three children and one grandchild in my sleep reflecting on how damn amazing my life was. I mean of course that's solely wishful thinking." A shrug as the brunette attempts to think of a...harder answer. "I suppose I just wouldn't want it to hurt. Or for it to mean that my line's ended because I didn't hurry the hell up with certain aspects of life."

1. As a child, what did you want to be when they grew up?
"Like Dad, but then I learned that my Dad had probably died at war - so I settled on being an awe-inspiring paladin for France and for my pals. Turns out I still ended up like my Dad in the end, though (laughs)."
2. Where did you learn most your skills and other abilities?
"My blade taught me. Shoo-shaa."
3. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing a person could do?
"Well, I think I'm a pretty forgiving bloke. Steal my money and I probably wouldn't mind much. Believing in anything but Christianity is just wrong, though."
4. What do you believe makes for a ‘successful’ life?
"Firstly... you need to learn to cook. It doesn't matter what you cook. As long as you have something to throw in the oven, you'll not only be - but feel - successful. I'll be publishing that and more in my next novel, "Roland's Rowdy Guide to a Rollin' Life," where we will discuss the intricacies of man, war, and housekeeping - as well as what really makes your helmet... shine."
5. What do you look for most in a potential date/lover?
"Hmm... someone like Astolfo, I guess?"
6. How close are/were you to your family?
"Close as you can get. I used to go visit my old Mother whenever I could, even after the cave days. What's more, she was the only person whose birthday I didn't accidentally forget. Also, King Charles is like a super swell Uncle and really awesome, so I spent a lot of my time with him. I think he liked me a lot, since he used to tell me to stay with him in his quarters sometimes so I 'wouldn't leave his sight.' As for cousins... I think Astolfo might be my cousin... and Brada, too... and maybe Renaud... probably."
7. What does your character do when they’re stressed?
"..."
8. What makes you laugh?
"It makes me pretty happy when I get to see the world from far up. Chaldea's great for that, and I always got really giddy when I went into those massive, tall castles - like Charles'. Oh, and there was this one time where we had to invade a small settlement near the peak of a mountain; after we starkly claimed victory for ourselves, I soon enough fell to the urge to walk towards the nearest cliff edge and start laughing my heart out. Most of my troops gave me strange looks when I did. I remember Oliver saying something like, 'Have you lost your sense again, Roland?'"
9. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
"I wish women didn't hate me."
10. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
"Normally, I think I'd say that I want to die the way I lived - but I've technically already tried that one, and a lot of people seem to agree that that didn't turn out very well. So, for now, I'm just going to say... with everyone by my side."

1. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I was gonna be a straight-laced prince; but that obviously didn’t work out – I wanted to be a hero instead, right? Of course I did! Oh, well; I guess at first I wanted to be a musician… then I wanted to be a jousting champ! That one went especially badly, actually. Oh, and then I wanted to be archer, but that was mostly because Roland was being a big jerk so I wanted to beat him at something. Plus I thought all those cool stoic archer dudes in England were really tough and amazing! And then I wanted to be a mage for a while, but no one would teach me at all! After I got a flogging from the priests, I ended up trying to be a duellist, and after I lost eight rounds in a row I instead decided I’d…
2. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
From everywhere; from everyone! I’m not all that good at most of them, but I think I know a little bit about everything. It’s because of everyone I met and listened to! I never really had the concentration or drive to settle down to just one thing, but I always listened and remembered what people had to tell me. That’s why I say that I owe everything to all my friends.
Eh? Oh, who taught me the most? That’d be Roland, of course! He was the one who dragged me outside to play, so I guess I got my spirit of adventure from him; and that’s the most important thing for a hero, right? B-But, don’t tell the King that; he’ll get mad that I didn’t say him, I think!
3. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing a person could do?
T-That’s not a fair question! I’m no good at evil stuff! But, I have to answer, huh… it’d probably be something like pretending to be a friend; or even worse, pretending to be in love! Friendship and love should never be tarnished! But… if they really were doing it for the best, then maybe…?
4. What do you believe makes for a ‘successful’ life?
Doing what’s right! Even if it’s something small, so long as you tried your best to be a good person, you’re a hero like any other! Compared to that, money and fame and even love don’t matter… as much, at least!
5. What do you look for most in a potential date/lover?
Everything, duh?!?
…fine, um… I guess I like interesting people! Does that make sense? People who have passions! I think there’s nothing better than hearing someone talk about what they love. Someone I can learn something new from! Or, someone who’s just exciting to be around! Someone who looks really sexy! Ah, or someone who’s really exotic? Oh, but someone homely is great, too! Aaah, this question’s no fair!!!
6. How close are/were you to your family?
Really close! Charlemagne, Orlando, Rinaldo, and Bradamante were all my best friends forever! The Peers are my family! I love them all! The Peers of Charlemagne are eternal!
…my real family, huh? Well… I wouldn’t say we were enemies or anything, but… I guess we never really agreed on things. …can we talk about something else?
7. What do you do when you’re stressed?
Cry! Chuck a tantrum! If you have emotions, you should let them out! Otherwise, things can get really messy, like with Roland. Man, he was so angry that one time! It was scary. Oh, wait, he was always clear about his emotions, so that’s not really right. Um, I guess it depends on the person, doesn’t it? Maybe it’s okay to keep it to yourself sometimes. But it’s not for me! Except, if it’s really formal, or –
O-Oh, uh, yeah; the question! I just let out my feelings! If I’m really anxious, though; sometimes I go for a drink with some friends. Ah, or maybe just a little passionate fun with someone I really like, eheheh… but only if they’re okay with it! Nothing gets the edge off like being treated a bit rough…
8. What makes you laugh?
Funny things, obviously!
…more than that? What more is there to say?
9. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Uh… see, I’d like to say ‘I wish I was stronger!’ or, ‘I wish I was as famous as Roland!’ or things like that, but I really can. If I said things like that, I feel like I’d be saying that all the things my friends helped me with and taught me aren’t enough. They’re more than enough! I’m really happy with who I am – no, I’m super happy with who I am! I’ve had a lot more love in my life than most people, so it’d be awful for me to say ‘I wish I had gotten more.’
Mind you, I do want more love, of course! That’s what life is all about!
10. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
I’d rather not die at all?!?
…do I really have to answer? If that’s the case… I’d like to die doing something for all my friends. N-Not in a way that’d make them feel guilty later, but in a way that they can remember that I died doing what I loved. Is that okay? Or, could I die smothered under a really gorgeous girl with a drunken look on my face? That’s fine too, right? Ah, but that really does sound greedy… how about ten gorgeous people instead? Just six? One really big one?
O-Oh, that’s enough of an answer? Sorry!
